Been to 4 podiatrists to get a diagnoses for my chronic ankle spraining and inflamation. Not a one gave insight like this vid. They recommend surgery , braces, inserts, and orthotic shoes. Instead I started wearing barefoot trail runners, and walking around the house in socks. I retired my hiking boots and upped my hiking to 10 miles a week. This vid as well as vids from other 'tube experts has shown me how to understand my ankle problem.
Right… so crazy! Any particular socks?
Puzzling how remedies often tend to aggravate the problem
Another amazing video explaining the endless benefits of barefoot exercise, running and barefoot shoes. Been using them for a couple of years now and can’t imagine going back to running in cushioned trainers. Keep up the great videos 👍👌💪👟
This video makes so much sense. For years shoe companies have had the better of us with the range of high heels and thick padded soles. I am starting these foot and ankle strength tips today. Thank you for the excellent content
Great explanation, love the illustrations, demonstration and comparison of the importance of foot dramatic to have a strong, healthy feet equality to healthy overall body.
It's interesting how much these barefoot shoes resemble the English "plimsoll shoe" we used to wear for physical education at school. They had thin flexible soles too.
The best explanation on ankles and exercises ive seen on the internet. Very well explained. I need to find some minimal shoes to practice running in and wearing around more. Will try the other things too. I have seen improvements in my form when i run and more stability and strength. These exercises are so so important for running and sports!
This is the video I've been waiting on! Thanks guys!
So happy to hear that! Thanks for your continued support :)
Thank you for this video, I needed to hear this. Going to start doing this.
Been meaning to visit a podiatrist due to chronic foot problems. Luckily I just watched this video, which makes a lot of sense. Gonna try some of the exercises and hopefully be on the way to recovery and fitness again.
Thank you very much! I think you just saved my ability to walk properly again! ❤
Am 68 and have completed day 2 of my 2 week supported squats. So far so good😅😅😅
Great job
非常感谢up主,现在受球鞋文化和各种流行文化的影响,很少会有人注意到有关鞋子健康的事。过去20年我也被花里胡哨的鞋子给塑造了。我们人类需要的东西其实很简单
I started wearing Vibram 5 Fingers while lifting - I noticed that squatting actually used my feet more - my foot actually got thicker as my squat weight increased. It really opened my eyes to how much we 'hobble' our feet with shoes.
very well done. love the pleasant tone and the music and visuals. I’d not heard of the zero-drop show brand that sponsors this video before now. I’ll go check out their like of shoes. Also, the guy commentating on this vid has such a wonderful speaking voice and handsome bare feet that splay nicely. Thank you!
Thank you! Very useful information!
What about a tailor's bunion? On the pinky-toe side? Some shoes seem great for regular bunions, but only ok for tailor bunions.
(Thanks for your videos! I'm enjoying my Splay shoes because of your suggestions.)
Thank you for this informative video. I’m having trouble with my Achilles tendon on both of my feet they are sunk in and I am concerned . Today I made an appointment for the podiatrist. Hopefully he can enlighten me on what the problem is .
Consider a future video about metatarsalgia and Morton's neuroma. More often than not, doctors suggest foam pads for the shoes. It's quite controversial. All in all, another excellent video. Thanks for the content. Greetings from Nicosia.
Nice video, this problem caused me many leg injuries, can you do a video about knee hyperextension ?
Citation needed my friend
Excellent lesson. Thank you. 🇳🇵
Dankie meneer
Hello! Thank you for your videos!
Could you please give some advice on how to fix high arches also?
I do discharge my weight only on the front and on the heel. I have been managing pain with orthopedic insoles. If i do not wear them i get back pain in little time.
Thank you in advance!
So needed, thank you!
U are right bro..
I have been made inserts from a mould of me feet as had pain issues on one foot and a damaged tendon. I was told I do not have flat feet but pronation so I have to waer these inserts and not barefoot shoes for while now to see if it helps...what do you think?
After i discovered the pose method of running and walking i Didnt have any injury in the last month.
Great video with so much common sense, which should be called “rare-sense” these days. Thank you.
PS: you sound South African. Am I correct there boet?
Nice sir
Here’s a quick test to show how important the feet are. Like in the video, squeeze your glutes. Yes, your arches may come off the ground but it’s not due to the feet contracting. Now elevate your heel on one leg, drive into the ball of your big toe, and curl your toes. Put your hand on your butt and you should feel your foot arch contract and your glutes fire.
Explained why my feet were pointed outwards when walking with cushioned shoes! Thanks
Weird you recommend barefoot shoes and bob and brad recomend a shoe with hard soles now I'm confused
deadlift shoes or boxing shoes? They ar good for platfus?
excellent ;)
I have a family member that has problem with vertebrae hernias. And a lot other people I know that have problem with. I know that most of the time the problem comes from foot.
I need help i had bunion surgery and the dr. Never put the tendon back on the big toe its been this way since 2007 . Help SOS
I’m so confused. I was told if I didn’t wear arch support my feet would get worse. And my feet HURT whenever I don’t wear arch supports. 😢
Same and if I do chores without shoes they hurt so much..
What's your stance (no pun intended) on wearing insoles by someone who has had flat feet all their life? I'm talking about high quality custom made insoles.
Interesting
I have foot plantar fascias n foot spurs would this help
Walking on hard surfaces without support actually gave me plantar fasciitis. Haven’t had it since I got inserts years ago.
@@kathleen9456 right.. I'm struggling to find shoes with a wide toe box but not barefoot one.
Does walking in flip-flops help any? Thanks for the videos!
There are Y'tubes answering this question. The answer is ff wearers tend to turn their feet inward in order to keep the ff from falling off. Resulting in a pigeon toed gait. Same for those wearing sliders.Over time ff and sliders are damaging to ones walk. Wear a sandal with an ankle strap and toe box so that the sandal stays on effortlessly
Just got my first pair of barefoot shoes this week. Loving them so far! I do have a question and hope you can help. I have always been flat footed, and I’m wondering if it will be harmful to wear them on concrete/modern surfaces for long periods of time??
I am taking a balance/strengthening/core class at my local YMCA, with an amazing instructor who incorporates all of the things you’ve demonstrated, so I know that I am on the right track - just really wondering about harder surfaces when doing every day tasks that require a lot of walking.
When you start wearing barefoot shoes remember, easy does it, start with one hour a day, and build it up weekly, after one month you are good to go anywhere and for any length of time, best wishes.
@@anthonyofarrell513 thank you 😊
Agreed, like any major change in routine baby steps are better for your body long term. Alternate between your new barefoot shoes and the ones your body has been used to gradually increasing the time spent in the barefoot shoes to allow your body to adjust - then you are good to go 😊 I solely use barefoot now and couldn’t imagine squeezing my feet back into traditional shoes ever again 👍
More nicely presented & useful knowledge, thank you. ...And she is indeed gorgeous :~)
One long ad, with some interesting info here and there.
Can we correct boigons at 67 years old?
J'ai le problème complètement inverse ma cheville sort vers l'extérieur et mon pied se pose naturellement en supination
❤❤
I get pain in middle of foot if i try arch exercise
Shoes nowadays are becoming narrower and narrower, especially sports shoes. If I buy it according to my size then it fits well at the heel but squeezes the finger side of the foot. If I buy shows according to the finger side of my foot then I got big size shoes than my feet which are loose at the heel
Squeezing my glutes does not alter my arches at all!!
Would be nice if all these nice shoe companies would make something larger than a 13.
Slavsquatting is fucking magical for the feet
Awe
hello
my pro tip is walking barefoot
@9:03 next years fashion
Metal Gear Solid fans seeing the cover of this video 💀💀💀
How much does it cost
Squats and I have arthritis in my knee only minor
lol. I am not an expert, but I have been wearing shoes for 3+ decades and never came across shoes where your toes are curled up as you have shown in your video. Thanks for the other tips though. Really helpful.
You are lucky - look around at peoples feet!!
👏🏻👍🙏💯🇺🇸🥰
I miss old UA-cam. I'm tired of clicking on a video that is nothing but an ad.
Fantastic info - read the other comments and pay attention. Also you choose your UA-cam video so why blame UA-cam?
My feet were flat from birth
why they don't produce healthy shoes🤔
What about when the balls of your feet hurt when walking?
Could you plz not wasting a product like broken it?
Your voice sounds stressful
He’s just trying to get out a lot of information in a short amount of time so that people click on his video. He’s conscious of the time. He’s an expert in his field. That’s the important part.
Stressful or stressed?
His voice his excellent.
ok so steps 1 and 2 are just a long ad ….
I' d like to comment with my not perfect english but allthough with my knowledge about the real reason of growing painfull bunion what is weekened inner organs. In the biggest roll is the spleen. If you suffer of a painfull bunion, take contact with some chinese doctor or chinese therapist who gives you exact knoweldge and advice instead me, how to threat also the cause and get away the possible pain you have. In first place the low inflammation in your body is important to keep in control. Ofcorse the physical treatments are also important to take care of ! I am keeping my self in balance with six autoimmune disorders by only one medical pill per day, Thyroxin. Other five disorders I can keep in control with right food, foodsupllements, Oxyrich , daily Shindo meridianstretching and selfthreating, once a month Shindo meridianmassage. And open greatfull mind. Take care! I wish all a wonderdull life!
