thx for posting this :-) looks fly My tip(s) -- Use a heat gun to remove OEM cover, helps alot. Use 3M super 77 spray glue for the face - light coat both lid and leather, allow a minute or 2 for tack.. and mount it. But get it right no wrinkles you'll stretch leather pulling it back up if you get wrinkles. AND then use pump-spray super glue for underneath.. finally hot glue gun under the corner bunches, push it flat as possible with a tool and razor the mass flat once it cools. IF you have a 5" square of dynomat laying around, split it in half and toss them under there before buttoning it up..out the way of clips n screws.. it brings a solidness to the lid when you slam it down with your elbow... uh.. and many adhesives you may just grab off the shelf can eat that foam so choose wisely yall :-) this is for anyone wanting to know a faster stronger method that will last in hot areas like TX, FL, AZ, NM..
Seat stitching white. Armrest stitching yellow. Did I miss the reason in the video? White not available? Nice work! How soft is it? Still only OE padding.
I went yellow to match the yellow stitching on the mountune leather gaiter that had at the time :) The leather was lovely to touch and feel, such a tactile improvement over the fake plastic stock covering. It wasn't as squishy as some arm rests but with more padding I think fitment would have been an issue. Overall I was very happy with this mod :)
If you look back at previous videos to this one you will see that I have other black and yellow accents on the centre console - the Mountune yellow topped gear knob and the Mountune leather gaiter which is the same grain and colour of leather as this but significantly has matching yellow stitching
Hello Gavin, I did consider it but I decided to go for black with yellow stitching to match my Mountune leather gaiter which is black leather and yellow stitching! :D Cheers for watching!
I found your video today. Nice result. I try to do the same in may car by my own. Not really nice. I'm happy to order the same as you. Thank you for sharing. :)
Hi Adam, thanks for that, a lot of people are keen on it. I cant find any difference between 2017 and earlier, and wouldnt think ford would make changes to the last year of prodution. Oh Adam, you installed your mp215? Does it affect warranty if a dealer doesnt install? As its fairly simple and the package is designed to retain warranty, they would be out of order to say no. Love your channel......
So yes I installed the MP215 and I confirmed the warranty thing - so simply it does not affect your warranty if you do it yourself. The only case where the warranty would be affected is if you did something wrong during installation that then led to a problem - ford would not cover said problem because you caused it. So as long as you do everything correct your warranty will remain intact :) Cheers for the support!
Ciao, senza il tuo tutorial non ce l'avrei mai fatta, saluti dall'italia, grazie.
If you cut a slit in the edges you can fold it over and glue one edge over the other to get a tidier finish on the corners

Amazing job, just a question. Why have awful yellow stitching when you have white stitching on the seats. Looks odd.

The yellow stitching is not my jam, but your videos are really helpful, thank you :)
Thanks :)
Great tutorial. I have to ask why didn’t you get the one with white stitching to match the recaro stitching?
