@@AdamRainey Hello Adam, i really like your videos. Helps me to install some things on my mk7.5 myself. Keep dropping them. Now i want to replace the standard roof spoiler on my car for a ST-line spoiler. Can you give me some tips how to extend the third brake light cable and the windshield washer line, because both are to short. Thanks mate.
@@Granman-m2r for electrical wire extension I would be cutting and extending with the same gauge of wire, soldering it and wrapping in heat shrink. For the washer line, you can get little plastic coupler thingd that are barbed either end so would just push onto the end of the existing tube and the additional tube that you get, assuming you can get the same kind of tube somewhere
@lowda9 - Ford took a lot of extra time engineering the spoilers on the Fiesta and Focus in order to get the best aerodynamics so that the air would fill in behind the vehicle (hatchbacks have wide air displacement) to reduce the vacuum that occurs behind the vehicle, which negatively reduces fuel mileage. I get 32 to 36 mpg in mixed driving in my manual trans Focus. Now, when you CHANGE the position of the spoiler you ruin these aerodynamics. The car is a front wheel drive (traction in front). You don't need to worry about down force on the rear wheels which are just holding up the back end. When you change the position of the rear spoiler you are performing a detriment to your car.
not gonna lie this is the only comment that includes talking about aerodynamics in it and it's why I'm here. Thanks for the reassurance of not doing this mod although it looks really cool 🤣
I like the added angle some of these kits add, just not gap it leaves. If someone made a molded solid piece fibreglass kit (I guess this would come at an extra cost) I would be interested. Just subscribed too.
Hi Tahir, the taped openings are fine, the tape seems pretty good. The main concern I would have is with the openings at the back of the wing where the electrical connection and washer hose go through. They are 2 very big circular holes that are mostly exposed so it is possible rain, etc could get inside the wing. Cheers!
Adam Rainey oh, now I know why so much water pours down when I open the hatch after washing the car. Another thing: I didn’t like the brake light wire being so exposed - so I wrapped it with electrical tape.
The risers look really good Adam, a question for you have you replaced the rear motor mount yet? I have a torque solution upgrade motor mount that I'll probably wait till the spring to install after our rotten Pennsylvania winter weather is over!
I have not, no. I do have a mountune mount sitting waiting to be installed but just not got round to doing it yet. I hear it is a very worthy thing to do though! Cheers :D
Those do look good, any worries that the wire and hose ate exposed tho?...and yeah there are cheaper versions out there but those boomba ones really have that quality refined look to them, great work Adam
The stickers I got with mine to cover the holes are not holding up well feel they will break soon, anyone know of any small sized grommets to use there instead and what size? thanks
@@AdamRainey I agree. Maybe I am not so keen on sticky out adornments after spotting a Civic Type R with a bolt on spoiler that could have been nicked from Amelia Earhart's plane. Fecking ridiculous looking. You Fiesta looks better than that thought 😊
I would say there is a big difference between these risers and a bolted on BGW lol I liked these risers for a while but then I regained an appreciation for the fitted look when I got the carbon fibre wing
Adam Rainey yea mate Ford didn't do the rear ones right. They put the 2 large spacers on 1 side and 2 small the other, fixed it now though, also removed the pads from the back as they didn't look too nice, I also removed the metal bars from the front as they don't bend as flush as i would like as they was originally designed for the American one, still fit fine anyway now, but they do look perfect tbh I love the look now
@@AdamRainey yes for the wing light , is like a little extension that goes in the third rear light the wing I can't find it anywhere I saw 1 online for $200 that's too much for a extension wing
The blue that boomba do is lighter than spirit blue on the ST so wouldn't have matched in anyway so I took the opportunity to do a cool contrast with the red
Alex Cantlow Hi Alex, you are not a twat, rather you simply have a grasp/ understanding of aerodynamics! These risers essentially act like a bit of an air brake only permanently on because they decrease aerodynamic efficiency by increasing drag in the name of aesthetics! I have since removed these in favour of a properly fitted carbon fiber wing 😀
Adam Rainey LOL didn't read the title propley and ohh thought it would with the massive shut line imagine the drag would be created around that area or turbulent air flow one or both would drag it down a bit more losing hp does look oright tho NGL
That would be fucking awesome, and probably not unfeasably difficult. You'd need a pneumatic system to actually push the airbrake up, some bearings, and it'd have to tie into the electrical system, probably on the brake light circuit, so that it actually activates when you use the brakes.
Great video dude. I put spoiler risers on my st spoiler today by following your video and it was spot on as you covered every part of installation 👍
Really nice video, bought the risers as a gift for my girlfriend she loves them! makes here ST even beter! Nice and easy video to follow
Top quality video dude, was so easy to follow your installation rather than reading it from the net. 10/10👍🏼👍🏼
Cheers Mike!

Thank you mate, put them on my new 2017 black st line, much better than the other videos I saw 👍🏻
Next time maybe you can do a before and after shot at the end of the video. That would be super cool and help a lot. Great vid looks good!
If you want your car to look dumb and completely spoil (no pun intended) it's aero go ahead and do this "mod" it's more of a downgrade imo.
You are correct sir. I have since removed them and gone to a stock shaped carbon fiber rear wing!
Adam Rainey so u removed them cause people didn’t like em I thought u do what YOU want don’t let people criticize u
MERICA #1 you have no idea why he removed them. people can have a change of heart you know.

Excellent video, nice to watch. Don't rate the mod personally, but each to their own
Cheers :)
Did the red sticker you put on let any water in?
Nope, I never had any water ingress
@@AdamRainey So any tape will work as long as the hole is covered?
Not all tapes are created equally. Any tape that is strong enough that uses an adhesive suitable for the elements, sure

I would say super strong, no need to change
what a great video! good looks dude

IMHO this is one of the most chavy looking mods you can do to a Fiesta ST... to each their own I guess...
diobruttoporco agreed. This looks terrible, like you backed into something and never fixed your car
It’s definitely a love/hate thing. I get good reviews on mine😁.
this video has made me want to buy themes much
thanks Adam !!!
Camfred_Bmx awesome 😀 Thank you for watching!

Very informative video, can you get a riser kit for the big hat,?? lol,,
Very helpful ! Doing mine now ❤
Very well done. I am not sure of the purpose of the risers, tho. Besides looms, I mean.
They are indeed purely cosmetic :D
Thanks for the video! Glad to hear you like em!
Thanks for watching my video and thanks for making quality parts! :D
i wanna buy this wings riser for my 2011 fiesta s...i'm from malaysia
We ship our products worldwide! Our risers will work on the non-ST models as well.
Hi you haven’t really reviewed your catback since getting it please let us know how it is I’m thinking of getting one for mine!
Another awesome video buddie big thumbs up!
Cool do they come indifferent colours ?
Hi Luke, they do yes. They come in natural (like silver), red, blue and black. Cheers!
Adam Rainey cheers 👍
do these fit the fiesta ecoboost 1.0ltr turbo charge from philippines ? Thanks Adam

Very good video tutorial but not sure the mod is an improvement in terms of the look of the car.
That is entirely subjective, cheers
