Heavy SBMM, disbanding lobbies, and the cross play with PCs have absolutely led to the demise of COD multiplayer. Add in Battle Royale gameplay and you have the recipe for killing the multiplayer aspect of COD.
1. The player movement is way too fast. There was no need to speed it up. 2. SBMM has got to go. 3. Make player movement more realistic. It looks and feels like you're on a segue rolling instead of walking or running. 4. The weapons have no weight to them. They handle like pieces of paper. In Blops 4 you can feel and see the heavyness of the weapons from small to large. 5. Meaningful kill streaks need to return. No more free kill streaks. 6. STOP PROTECTING WEAK PLAYERS!!!!!
I’m in my 40s and I’ve never had problems seeing enemies until the games went cross platform I swapped to PC when that happened but something definitely changed it must be a FOv scale or something

I don’t like sbmm but I don’t mind some mild sbmm for new players or whatever. Sbmm should never be so strong that you’re watching players like TGDplays and tmemorry waiting 5-10 minutes between matches in multiplayer just because they are good at the game.
People need to remember that for years the COD devs have been messing up and ruining MP (and even Zombies with games like Vanguard) and yet it's nothing but crickets. They said they F*cked up in response to all of the issues in Warzone and it's because Warzone is the cash cow and it's been on the decline since Vanguard. All they care about is money. They don't apologize for MP and Zombies because they don't care about it and that's not where the money comes in.

We've all got some great memories of playing call of duty and there is a huge amount of nostalgia looking back at the golden days of COD when it was literally the game to play. At a time when if you didn't have/play the latest in the series it was like you weren't part of the cool kids club, so many memories of late nights smoking and drinking having a blast with your friends talking shit back and forth but the reality is call of duty has fell off and hasn't been the same for years. It's a dying franchise that we all tend to look back on with rose tinted glasses, we try to relive the experience by playing the new games but it just doesn't match that feeling we all got years back. Fundamentally it's still a good game but I think the majority of people have moved on to different games, especially as we have all grown older - I don't have the time to be playing multiplayer games competitively like I did back then and neither do most of my friends because we are all adults with jobs and families so instead opt for singleplayer games most of the time. I think expectations for games has really risen over the years aswell, people like stuff to be more in depth and realistic nowadays and there are so many more options for games out there at this point. I wish I could enjoy COD like I used to but it's just not the same anymore, it's just grew kinda stale.
Just do every 20 games normal match making then they monitor your stats and for 10 games they alert you that you will be going in a tougher lobbies so you get the best of both worlds

It seems so apparent to me that most of these new Call of Duty developers don’t actually play Call of Duty. Some of them do and of those people, there are casual and low level players - which is totally fine! Not everybody plays at the same level and nobody will start at level 100…However, one of the problems that these devs continue to run into is that they mold the game based around how THEY play and around THEIR style of movement. They may not do it intentionally, and they even acknowledge that they don’t want to do that, but it is only natural. That’s why you have safe spots, overpowered weapons, and sbmm - which are not solutions to balance the player levels because high level players will exploit these features, anyways. It sounds like these developers view high level players as bosses and they desperately try to “balance” high level players by adding assets for low level players to make it generally easier for these players to beat the bosses. In what world will that develop any kind of strength for the low level players? Everybody knows that in order to rise, you must fall. In order to get 10 kills, you must die 10 times. It’s not a complex concept to understand. Even these developers were not handed their jobs on silver platters. I know that they were once kids with huge aspirations. I know that they worked hard to get to where they are now. The concept of “grinding” is virtually equal throughout every aspect of life. So, in what way did they mess up, you might ask? Good question, Khalil. I'll take this one. It's about transparency. It's the same thing with not showing player stats in the pre-game lobby. When a new COD title launches, they should be PROUD of the game they made and show the stats. Purge the leaderboards of cheaters, etc. Letting these things linger or unattended makes it seem like they don't care.
It will not be the death of COD on PC, It will be the revival if mouse player don't ever haft to play aim assist players on PC ever again. The numbers will be booming like never seen before on the PC end. They want no parts in playing controller players. They turn off crossplay and can't escape them because of controller support on PC. Now they will be able to escape them. Mouse and key players have been complaining about this sense controller support became available & is most likely the main motivation for this move being implemented. PC players will be booming knowing they can play in peace once again. How ever it will be the death for controller players on PC. I may need to sell my PC for a console if the lobbies are dead because nobody wants to play PC controller players, And Mouse and key will just play each other. And console will play each other most likely. It will kill controller cod for PC players for sure. We may haft to migrate to console if people choose not to play us controller players on PC.

It's the art style the choose for your character in game. In BO4, the players stand out across the background even in the darkest areas whereas in Cold War the characters were made to match the background instead of stand out from it.

Dedicating the match making for mostly low attention span* people. Thunder is right it took me months to start getting high score streaks, I would spend weekends on BLACK Ops trying to get to prestige 12 for the color Clan tag and gold Famas. There were times i would go 2-15 , I’m not big on K.D but I had better experience moving around and learning the maps. 🤙🏾🙌🏾

It's about transparency. It's the same thing with not showing player stats in the pre-game lobby.
When a new COD title launches, they should be PROUD of the game they made and show the stats. Purge the leaderboards of cheaters, etc.
Letting these things linger or unattended makes it seem like they don't care.

It will not be the death of COD on PC, It will be the revival if mouse player don't ever haft to play aim assist players on PC ever again. The numbers will be booming like never seen before on the PC end. They want no parts in playing controller players. They turn off crossplay and can't escape them because of controller support on PC. Now they will be able to escape them. Mouse and key players have been complaining about this sense controller support became available & is most likely the main motivation for this move being implemented. PC players will be booming knowing they can play in peace once again. How ever it will be the death for controller players on PC. I may need to sell my PC for a console if the lobbies are dead because nobody wants to play PC controller players, And Mouse and key will just play each other. And console will play each other most likely. It will kill controller cod for PC players for sure. We may haft to migrate to console if people choose not to play us controller players on PC.
It's got the point that whatever the Activision shills say, I know the opposite will be true. They're telling us IW is the best studio ever despite the fact they haven't released a decent game in literally 11 years.
I remember how I and a friend of mine would run into these ctf spawn trappers in bo2. I had no problem playing them for 3-4 hours.

It's the art style the choose for your character in game. In BO4, the players stand out across the background even in the darkest areas whereas in Cold War the characters were made to match the background instead of stand out from it.

Exactly how I feel. I do not care about shit they have to say if sbmm is not removed from pubs. And I believe this would damage the PC community as well. This would essentially kill the game on PC and take away a lot of money from these guys. It also wouldn't solve the issue of Cronus and Xim users. So you got rid of people using skill with a keyboard and mouse and are left with laser beam weapons and controller macros. Great job.

All they have to do was listen to the fan base, especially the OG cod player, and stop focusing on protecting noob, creating sbmm without implementing rank play , stop rigging the game, make better maps like the old cod, and end the annual release date because the game is always felt rush with have lots of bug. Quality over quantity first.
Dedicating the match making for mostly low attention span* people. Thunder is right it took me months to start getting high score streaks, I would spend weekends on BLACK Ops trying to get to prestige 12 for the color Clan tag and gold Famas. There were times i would go 2-15 , I’m not big on K.D but I had better experience moving around and learning the maps. 🤙🏾🙌🏾
