Mars Rover Rocker Bogie Optimization

PROSTEP uses the NASA/JPL Mars Rover Curiosity www.jpl.nasa.gov/missions/mar... to drive forward innovation and to validate digitalization concepts and technologies. In this context, PROSTEP is also working closely together with academia. Recently, one of our students, Dominik Vetter, completed his Master Thesis on Optimizing the complete bogie very successfully. Here you can see briefly a visual comparison of his results. We will build now this Mars Rover in reality, including 3D-printing of the bionic structures. It will be faster, have longer range, more robust and maintenance will be much easier.
