I figured out the code for monitoring and adjusting wheel RPMs. Now it climbs over the silicone blocks much easier without stretching the plastic frame too much. The Arduino can now adjust each motor's PWM signal based on the wheel's speed as it tries to maintain a set RPM while climbing over obstacles. Here's an Instagram link showing a side by side video comparing the old code to the new code: instagram.com/reel/Cp_HallAg3F/?

Hey thanks! But what's with the foul language? There's kids watching sometimes. 😛

Interesting project. To add rigidity, I sometimes epoxy alu stiffeners inside the plastic with long parts like that.

Thanks! It just so happens that my space author friend, Jay Gallentine, is currently writing a book on such things and he showed me how to search the NASA archives. There's SOOOO much to dig through!

Are you working on an open project? I would like to join on the design!

Hey Hernan! Sorry I'm so late to reply here. As you probably figured out, I'm way more active on Instagram. I would love to work with you on this but my end goal is to sell this thing to museums or space enthusiasts so I would prefer if everything was my own. I've done A LOT of research on Sojourner so I'd be happy to answer questions you might have though.
