Aurora was once asked what makes her different from other people. She said the difference to other people is that she doesn't care what other people think about her.
Aurora is a free spirit and a very intelligent woman, she does her thing and she draws you into her world.

I'm over sixty years old. I'v been following Aurora from the very start. From the first time she stood on a stage, plucking her skirt and looked like a scared bird, to the powerhouse she is now. As a friend of an old friend of her I know things, things that I will not share, but I will say that she has experienced losses that are hard to recover from. But Aurora did not only recovered. She became this truly nature force of acceptance and grace and beauty and love. I love The Beatles. I love Pink Floyd. I love David Bowie. I love Ozzy Osbourne. Paul Simon and Kate Bush. Bjork. I could go on and on about the many super talented artist that exist or have existed but I will stop here. All I want to say is that I think that Aurora is special. Once in a millennia perhaps. Certainly once in a century. I for one is happy that my old bones was around to witness this true force of nature that is Aurora. Love from Norway Mom.

🧚 Aurora 🧚 has that effect on people who FEEL 🙂
Silja Sol (the female guitarist/backup singer) lost her mother shortly before this video. Watching her and 🧚 Aurora 🧚 nearly cry during this performance is heartbreaking 💔

I've also thought, for a long time now, that Aura is crying here. In her wet eyes, in the way she takes a breath. It's so touching and moving.
      And heartbreaking.
And then the smile that returns, like a farewell she'd say, promising this now detached soul to be carried off to a better world. And being happy for her.
Voilà, I'm crying again. For this mother I don't know, for Silja, and for the whole band for their loss.
I truly believe this is one of the most moving videos of her I've ever seen.

Aurora was interviewed prior to this performance and explained how she was asked to perform this song for a dying girl. It must weigh heavy on her, being as sensitive as she is, to have this in the back of her mind and demonstrates her strength. her empathy and her humanity. If you want to get to understand Aurora more I would recommend watching the Haik documentary either as a reaction or privately. Keep up the beautiful reactions!!

I completely agree! Aurora is my favorite artist for the fact that she seems to know the basic truths of existence and emotion. Not only that, but having the ability to so accurately capture that into such perfect words. I love your videos! Is refreshing to see someone who is willing to be vulnerable and share their emotions! I wish you well and will continue watching your videos!! ❤

I don’t know how you connect with Amakening, reconnecting with ones soul and source. But Aurora started that journey for me many years ago. It felt like I had to release a ton of tears, like she was holding my heart and I had been longing for that kind of ..love… I guess for what felt like forever. She’s a spiritual experience.❤️

There's another version of this song that, to me, is the most powerful and emotional version she did. You must see it! She sang this live in an empty theater to a mannequin at the SOMEWHERE ELSE FESTIVAL which was for TV audiences and I think it might have been during the pandemic. The reason I'm watching this is because I had the same reaction as you and got obsessed with figuring out what was going on and if other people reacted similarily. So I started watching reaction videos. Turns out basically everyone thinks shes really good, but a subset of those people are like you and me in that it's life changingly powerful. Everything you say is familiar. Some people are just tuned to the same frequencies or something like that. Aurora is like she was born with the instruction manual for how to human included.
You're a Warrior now, congrats! It's a club of the most incredible human beings I've ever met. Not only did Aurora's music help heal me at a critical time, but the family I gained throught the community has helped even more. The sum of it all means my life is now the polar opposite of what it used to be

She has gone through lots of grief in her young life. She rarely speaks about it in plain words. But you can feel the total connection she has with her music. If I remember correctly I think this song was a response to the statement "why do the good ones die young". She wanted some escape from the grim reality and made this song. That some type of being comes to ask the purest of us "a different kind of human -pure human" , to leave this world before their hearts and souls get corrupt by all the evil on this planet.

I really understand how you feel, very like me. The difference is I have met her, 2 years ago, 10 minutes of 1 to 1 time. What struck me? First, she is, shall we say, not very tall. Next, she is an observer, she REALLY looks at things and when you speak she shows her full attention (most of us don't). Finally, what an intellect and scope of knowledge. Roll on Friday, I'm seeing her in concert again.

Great reaction to this beautiful song and performance ❤️
This performance was especially sad because her backup vocalist Silja Sol had just lost her mom🥺
In this song Aurora uses her own made up emotional language.
In an interview with Bandwagon, she said the reason behind the song:
"I really wanted to make a song to help people cope with death and to cope with losing people they love. That's why I wrote this song. I think it was my mum, who said to me when I was young, that it's always the good people that die and that the best people were just too good for the world. People commit suicide, which is a horrible, sad thing, but it happens everyday. It's almost like the world was too cruel for them and they were too good for this world. That's why I wrote this song 'A Different Kind of Human', which is about these creatures that come to Earth to a dying human. And they say, Don't be scared, we're going to take care of you. You'll be safe and we'll take you to this new home where you’ll be with people as kind as yourself. You'll be happier at this safe place. I was hoping it could help people who have lost someone and convey that they're in a safe place."
Love those dogs, are they yours?❤️

Many people imagine that she has terrible childhood when she had a very happy childhood raised in the forests and fjords of Norway . Many of her older songs were inspired by the things she had read in newspapers etc , ie Murder song , about a man who killed his terminally ill wife , another about a old woman who went out in the night looking for men and chopped up their bodies and hid them under her bed , Aurora has quite the imagination. Her first hit song was Runaway , she composed it when she was 11. If you want to delve further into Aurora , I suggest you watch a couple of documentaries ie Haik or Once Aurora , these are two of the longer video's also if your looking for a whole concert or even just single songs then try Aurora at Niderosdomen a beautiful Cathedral in northern Norway.

      @taccamine8312 Місяць тому

Yes. Her way to regenerate in solitude with nature as a child has shaped her much . I believe that is why she may appears as a kind of wooden fairy to us. Runaway was written on a day remembering the sudden death of a dear family friend. Her Godfather. "I saw a face in the sand". It was how she dealt with the grief of letting go of her childhood and growing up. The nature was always there for her. It applies to us all, and she manages to depict and describe it for us.

The album version is fantastic, must hear, and recommend play it back to back without pause followed by Mothership. But then there’s this video, one of a series of informal live broadcasts she made from her apartment in Bergen during isolation of the pandemic, she sings in it, but it’s worthwhile from start to finishing hearing her speak, her thoughts, and personality; for your joy (just watch, for yourself, not asking you react).
