    I'm 67 and this song always gets me. The days of childhood, pure and innocent, compared to the horrors the world brings us as adults.

    The entire Nidarosdomen performance is simply the most amazing I have in 49yrs ever seen. With this song being the absolute highlight.
    I can watch this 10 times or more in a row and still be unable to keep it dry.
    Aurora is by far the most spectacular artist I have ever heard. I just love this woman

    This one is intense, my tears flow every time. The most intense bits have no words, she is often most intense with a vocalis.
    So just let the tears flow freely, know you are human and music like this can reach you. Seeing her in concert, again, next month.

      Well said, MAN, dont hide your feelings! The toughest guys always cries when (after the battle) overwhelmed by coming home to the relaxed calmness with family, wife, and children. But dont think about next battle, better go with friends to another good concert. U will still be able to crie, and u can bring your family to deal your feelings.
      When I wrote this I thought I lived aprox 2000 years ago, but watching news today i realised I am 69 and living today, and I dont like putin. Im am crying together with all the crying people in the world today. Music is pleasure and (should be freedom) joy to all humans!

    Your aurora reactions are wonderful. Its almost like Aurora goes into trance when she performs. She gets so into her performances it often takes her a minute to readjust to her surroundings. She always gives me the face of 'oh im here in front of a bunch of lovely people' she blinks like she's coming out of a dream. You can see and hear her about to cry throughout this performance. Look how furrowed her eyebrows get at certain points. She IS her music. She IS the wisdom. I think I'm right that she is a manifestation. I guess only time will truly tell. I'm sure it will be a mysterious and magnificent tale if it ever gets told.

    🧚 Aurora 🧚 was deeply honored to be allowed to perform there. Before this concert she’s interviewed and says how she had to do a respectful show🙂 and she mentions she wanted to perform (at Christmas time) in order to tell people it’s ok to not feel good all the time. Because she knows how difficult the holidays can be for people ❤️‍🩹
    🧚 Aurora 🧚 is a genius Empath who’s ART is immensely important to many, MANY people the world over😍 🧚 Aurora 🧚 is truly one of a kind…

    Thank you for your fine reaction. A wonderful voice, a wonderful melody and the lyrics are the simplest truth that everyone knows.
    I recommend to you:
    - Murder song (5,4,3,2,1) - The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert - ua-cam.com/video/vh0SWTVwXxw/v-deo.html - is it brave to sing a murder song at a Nobel Peace Prize Concert?
    - It Happened Quiet (Live at The Current) - ua-cam.com/video/9U-N6LqzdIM/v-deo.html - it's about the rape of a woman - some say - these great harmonies
    There are also two very sad songs by AURORA.
    - Why did you have to go - ua-cam.com/video/3n-dMxbIqJA/v-deo.html
    She wrote it for a friend from school who died in a car accident when she was 18. She only sang the song at the funeral. But the sound was recorded and the girl's mother is said to have published it on UA-cam. They have chosen good pictures and films for the video. AURORA didn't actually want to release it. I'm sure you've rarely heard anything so sad.
    - Little boy in the grass - ua-cam.com/video/1kiV704Nd_I/v-deo.html
    This is about the terrorist attack in Oslo and on the island of Utøya on July 22, 2011. An assassin killed 8 people in Oslo. Two hours later he shot 69 young people on the island. It was a Labor Party youth camp. It took 90 minutes. A friend of AURORA was among the victims.
    I assume that these early experiences characterised AURORA and contributed to the initially very sad songs.
    AURORA once said:
    People tend to believe quite quickly that something is wrong with them if they're not like the people they see in front of them
    It's so sad that it doesn't take much for us to really doubt ourselves
    Warm greetings from Germany

    Thank you for this lovely reaction to this amazingly beautiful song and performance❤️
    I highly recommend also checking out her stripped down version at Vevo, no instruments😍
    In another interview, she said:
    "It is one of the most important songs for me. It's about, the older you get, the more you see, and it's kind of like you miss the times when you thought everyone was nice, and that everything was nice, because it's hard to know all the darkness. Also we have lots of light, and I know that as well. But it's kind of like wanting to go back to the innocence, and see the world through the eyes of a child.”
    Could you please react to
    “A different kind of human” live at NRK P3 radio festival 2020
    She wrote this song to help people cope with losing loved ones.
    This performance was especially emotional because her backup vocalist Silja had just lost her mom🥺❤️
    In this song Aurora also uses her own made up emotional language🥰🥰

    You still choose Aurora's most emotional songs😅. Time to see some other live performances from here on tour. Or better yet, the "Haik" documentation. But if that's the case, then take Fabrice's version, as the subtext fits better with what she actually says. Or "Nothing is Eternal" at the beginning, then "Haik" Just as a tip❤😊

      I second this. I gravitate to her sombre performances, too, but it's worth remembering and embracing Aurora's "sunshine" side as well. The HAIK documentary and concert are a great and balanced introduction to all her sides and where her roots/core are finding nurture, allowing her to branch out in all directions (including being one of the funniest people I know of). 👍

    • @Holgerdansk
      @Holgerdansk 2 місяці тому +3

      @@glacieractivity Not easy to choose - it's best to see both, they both have their charm and their good sides. We'll see what momma maybe does. We can only suggest.

    • @Holgerdansk
      @Holgerdansk 2 місяці тому +1

      @@glacieractivity I thought of Nothing is Eternal for two reasons. Firstly, the documentary is shorter than "Haik" and secondly, Aurora's sisters appear in it. And I think it fits Momma's current mood more. But I could also be wrong.😊

  • @bfs007a
    @bfs007a 2 місяці тому +12

    It is insanely beautiful, but you should look at some of her more upbeat stuff now so you don't deconstruct yourself too much. :-) The Aurora KEXP live set would set you right again. :-) (they are both great but the one with 10M views is quite unbeatable) )

    • @Holgerdansk
      @Holgerdansk 2 місяці тому +6

      I already said that to her... Time for a little fun with Aurora (even if the lyrics aren't necessarily fun) KEXP shows Aurora from one of her many good sides.😊
