I had the same issue with my 1993 Chevy with a 5.7. Changed the fuel pump, no help. Had good spark but noticed the injectors weren’t spraying fuel. I used a 9volt battery on the injectors to make sure they were clicking, they were, so I knew they were good. I traced it down to the ignition control module under the distributor cap. Problem solved!!!!!! Thanks for the video, it led me in the right direction😀
A good item to have in the glove box as they have a high failure rate. Many mistakenly believe the clear/grey packet of THERMALY conductive grease is dielectric grease. It is not, it is important that it is applied to the mating surface so that heat can be diffused & thus prolonging the life of the solid state epoxy sealed unit. Don't take it for granted that the "ketchup" packet of goo is a thermal compound , it could very well be a dielectric grease mistakenly thrown in at the factory in Taiwan /China. If in doubt remember that any computer repair shop has this thermal paste for when they are installing the main processor chips & heat sinks on mother boards.
You are the man. That Trope wore me out. Thank you for being there for me. May God bless you and your family. You have a great day. I can never thank you enough.

I ended up pulling every ground I could find, cleaned, replaced, then spray painted to seal them no more problem.

I just had a similar problem. My 1990 almost left me stranded. No injector pulse. I could hear the fuel pump turn on when I turned the key on, but nothing at the injectors. I dumped some fuel down the tbi and it fired right up. I assume either fuel pump or Ignition control module, so I ordered a new distributor and a fuel pump. Gonna try the distributor first after seeing this video.
@@aarontorrez4800 mine ended up being the ignition module. I replaced the entire distributor because it cost about the same to do that vs. buying the module and a cap and rotor.
@@virider7466 ya... I replaced whole distributor and now I have spark but NO pulse... cleaned up grounds... noid light tested TBi... no pulse put gas down starts
The moral to this story is don't do random things. The manual clearly says that the Engine Control Module uses signal from the Ignition Control Module which happens to be bolted to the base of the distributor in order to know when to open the injectors. If the ECM does not see these pulses, not only will the injectors not open, but the ECM will not enable the fuel pump during crank. It can be a bit tricky but here is the sequence. First, check for spark by shooting some starting fluid down the throttle body and attempting to start the motor. If there is any spark the engine will pop. Assuming no spark, then with the key off, have someone hold the Schrader valve on the fuel line open and then turn the key to the "on" position (not start). The simple act of turning the key on primes the fuel pump automatically and so it will be forced on for a short time, like 1/2 to 1 second and then it will go off regardless of what the ECM thinks. If fuel squirts out the Schrader as a result of doing this, your fuel pump is fine. Next, turn the key from the "on" position to the "crank" (start) position, again holding the Schrader open. If you see no fuel come out then it means the ECM is not enabling the fuel pump. At this point, look for the SES light (Service Engine Soon). If it is turned on, that means that the ECM has determined something is wrong, and that something (no pulses from ICM) is why the ECM decided not to enable the fuel pump.
