Yeah, that bothered me lol. Don't even like Arctic Monkeys, but it kinda seemed obvious some of the stuff Brad complained about was intentional. And that doesn't necessarily make all of it better, but for lyrics... I think that 100% makes it better. LA Dispute writes uncomfortable lyrics Immortal Technique writes uncomfortable lyrics Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Eminem, Brand New, Tupac, etc: All write uncomfortable lyrics ON PURPOSE. And you listen to those lyrics with that in mind. Its not a complaint to be made imo. Its like listening to a song that sounds upbeat with sad lyrics and going "BUT ITS SAD! THAT'S A NO-NO!" Like nah, that's intentional. That's a part of the message. I really don't get that complaint. Complaining that it's done badly is a different story, but complaining because it's uncomfortable without expanding on that is... eh.
You realize just because that's the intention doesn't make it good? Like the Attila song "About That Life" for example. The whole point is to be obnoxious and douchey, and yet it still sucks. Intent doesn't defend from criticism

“The lyrics are uncomfortable” that’s the point
But it works bad
Yeah, that bothered me lol. Don't even like Arctic Monkeys, but it kinda seemed obvious some of the stuff Brad complained about was intentional. And that doesn't necessarily make all of it better, but for lyrics... I think that 100% makes it better.
LA Dispute writes uncomfortable lyrics
Immortal Technique writes uncomfortable lyrics
Led Zeppelin, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Eminem, Brand New, Tupac, etc: All write uncomfortable lyrics ON PURPOSE.
Complaining that it's done badly is a different story, but complaining because it's uncomfortable without expanding on that is... eh.
He meant uncomfortable in a bad way, not an interesting way.
You realize just because that's the intention doesn't make it good? Like the Attila song "About That Life" for example. The whole point is to be obnoxious and douchey, and yet it still sucks. Intent doesn't defend from criticism
That doesn’t mean anything if it’s bad
Brad I haven't watched a video of you in like two years but I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED I DONT KNOW WHY I STOPPED WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS
brad mood in this reaction: ???
The best way to describe AM is painstakingly polished, and extremely compressed.
As always I agreed and disagreed with parts but that’s what music is about. Big love from here in the UK. Love your vids man, keep em coming I can’t wait for pt.2!!
When I first clicked on your video I thought that it was just gonna be some bland reaction video. But now I've watched close to all of your Arctic Monkeys videos and I have to say, there are so many things about your personality that make the videos compelling to watch. You have a lot of interesting takes on things, and it's always fun to see which songs you're into. This is great!
me giving 5$ to the channel: "I'm helping"
a *sigh* in this video costing 10$: "money is no probem"
brad 30 seconds later: "I actually didn't think this through"
That “Do I Wanna Know” intro sounded so good wtf?!?
Sounded like cool rock song in a Adam Sandler movie
i have a feeling that he's going to DESPISE snap out of it
Easily one of my new favorite brad taste in music vids
If he did these complaints at $25 he would of paid $1800
Awesome video Brad!
When he roasted no 1 party anthem it hurt my soul a bit
if he didn’t like favorite worst nightmare, he will hate this one
AM PERSONAL RANKING:
12.- I Want It All
11.- I Wanna Be Yours
10.- One For The Road
9.- Knee Socks
8.- Snap Out Of It
7.- No. 1 Party Anthem
6.- Mad Sounds
5.- Do I Wanna Know?
4.- Arabella
3.- Why'd You Only Call Me When You're High?
2.- Fireside
1.- R U Mine?
Entertaining as always. Cheers Brad
Tbh I want it all could have been left off from the album and replaced with stop the world I wanna get off with you
the problem with stop the world is that it has a little too much of the other songs in the album, theres a melody there that is exactly as one in arabella and its distracting xd
@@comandantethorn9929 yeah, I see your point, but still I think IWIA should have been left as a b-side
I really like I Want It All tbh, Mad Sounds just screams B-side to me though
@@iwanjoness I really like Mad Sounds in fact
@@iwanjoness honestly most of their bsides are better
I was looking forward to your editing of the part that goes "...feel the same as I ᵈᵒ" at 4:08. I was not disappointed
I can't believe I actually found a music review channel that is NOT boring! Your reviews are really funny and insightful:)
Damn I was sick of those repetitive 10min videos on one single song...
This made me laugh a lot. Really enjoyed this video haha
Omg yes, our monthly dose of "Brad gets real fucking pissed". I love your reactions
Also the editing is really good man, good shit!
My favourite album of all time...
Thank you for the great content Brad, and big respect for helping out a great charity!
I usually agree with this man but like ........
Excuse me
he's shamelessly destroyed all of my good hopes i had coming into this watching him react to this masterpiece
I think AM is a bang average album, so many arctic monkeys fans hate it because theyre mad that their favourite isnt the most popular, i love the first album, but still enjoy the rest of their music
Favourite youtuber right here, glad to see you back my guy!!✊🏽♥️
Seems like even while editing he just got more and more bored and couldn't be bothered any more
mood.
btw thanks for that electronics + water thing I haven't laughed this much since corona
During “I want it all” a T-Mobile add came on and started playing Queen singing “I want it all” lol
I love both bands, but the fact that these guys went boom and Interpol didn't triggers me on a fundamental level
Could be because interpol has no catchy songs, good writing doesnt bring fame
I love Interpol with my whole heart and soul, but it's not comparable one to the other in my opinion even on how the bands were managed from the start.
It's because Arctic Monkeys are better, that's all there is too it.
@@robgreen5943 and that's your opinion. I'm not saying I don't agree, but if you're not willing to understand the context of both bands and be critical about it that's on you.
@ It's my opinion backed up by the fact that Arctic Monkeys went boom and Interpol didn't.
Your compaints is what I didn´t know I needed!!
Hot take: TBHC>>>>AM
That isn't really a hot take.
not even close to a hot take
That’s such an ice cold take in a music community like this
its a fact
💯
Brad the editing here is fantastic. Great work man ❤️
13:52 humbug album review part 2
He did that if you missed it.
