@@jase87 He can be a serious actor, but very rarely gets a chance to do so. I thought he was great in The Foreigner; he's still playing a martial arts guy, but he was playing completely against type.
Chan's gifts to the action adventure movie, the Asian Version, was a level of reality and non stop action that set the bar higher than chop saki movies had ever gone. He is not only a principle actor but often in the early years choreographer for the fight scenes- not only did he create some great parts for himself, his long term friends like Sammo Hung and Lucy Liu got to show and improve with every scene.
Jackie Chan is the nice. genuine and humble guy you expect him to be. If I ever met him, I'd point my finger towards him and say "wooo Jackie Chan"!
