My voice instructor, who also taught piano for 70 years, had her first piano recital at the age of 3. She had perfect pitch and could transpose a song to any other key while playing the song. Unfortunately, she is now almost 91 and has Alzheimers. After an accident I had that caused traumatic brain injury, she worked with me (starting when I was 53) for ten years to learn to sing in order to rewire my brain so I could speak again. She changed my life forever.

Gabriella I agree. STEVE HARVEY is one of the most brilliant Game Show Hosts, Comedians, Judges and TV Hosts I have ever seen. He emulates joy wherever he goes with that magic sense of humour of his and his wonderful sense of what children are all about. I really believe Steve brings all those things out in people. Adults love him, children love him, his famly undoubtedly loves him and I tend to believe the whole world loves him. GOD BLESS this man always.
I also love this tiny child genius Evan Lee and the wonderful way in which his family supports him on his journey to success.

What impressed me more is Evan’s calmness in receiving audience applause 👏 He is a true genius who obviously didn’t think his talent was a big deal to others.
Apart from his talent, he is so cute to answer everything without being shy away or swayed away by anything! He himself is so composed! I still can’t think myself how he started his second piece at perfect timing, adding the show more enthralling

I was a music major and it took me a full semester to prepare solo pieces to perform in seminar.
This kid is awesome and not because anyone makes him, but because he just enjoys it 🤎🤎
Now I understand why I couldn't learn to play. That kid took all my talent.

He’s so cute. Even if he didn’t play the piano, he’s just so adorable. Lol.
Flawless!! He doesn't even feel the ovations....just doing his thing.
If you watch this kid closely, he is an epitome of one-pointed focus on playing piano like a maestro. No ovation no praise seems to be getting in the way of his intense focus and passion for playing the piano like a musical genius. This is a rarity.
Bless the parents for recognizing, promoting, and nurturing his natural god-given talen.

Now that WAS genius! and the innocent look of surprise on that 4 year old's face when everyone was applauding him, tells me his parents have made sure he is grounded and not told he's a big-deal
So in case you didn’t understand how this boy started playing the piano, it was when his parents bought the piano to start teaching his 8-year old brother. So at age three, he was listening to his brother play then he went and started replicating that song exactly. The pianist Yanni was the same way. He also had perfect pitch and could replicate music w/o reading music.

Perfect/absolute pitch certainly makes that easier and is genetic but that is also a memory feat too.
I understood what you wrote. But what you wrote does not explain how this kid at this very young age has been able to learn and acquire a skill of this level which most other kids take years of hardwork and practice to get to that level. Now if you argue that this kid has received a very special talent by Mr God, then I may say using a similar argument that the kid dying of cancer or some rare disease at a very young age has been cursed by the same God for no fault of his. To extend this argument further, your Mr God whom I find most unfair, arbitrary and whimsical, is directly responsible for everything in our life - Good and bad, success and failures and our individual effort has no bearing on our life. I find this argument most fragile. We know there is something called freewill in our lives. Individual effort, determination, tenacity and hardwork can make a huge difference in human lives. There are numerous instances of people succeeding in life against all odds through sheer self effort and tenacity. I also believe that if we sincerely pray for divine help or intervention in situations in which we find ourselves helpless, then we may receive help.
HAS. Yanni HAS those abilities today, he's still very active today, and is still amazing....today!
Being born with Perfect Pitch is an extremely rare trait. This kid is going to go places if he continues nurture that talent!
I’d actually like to see how he would fare with having someone like Animenz (who also has Perfect Pitch) as his mentor…

This is a wonderful gift. Hope his parents raise him to be confident yet humble and appreciative of his gifts. I noticed his older brother was sitting in the audience. Hope their parents raise them to understand that the talent/gift he was given doesn't make him more worthy of love than anyone else including his brother.

OMG. He is born Genius. A small kid with a BIG personality. What a bright future he has. Kudos to his parents.
Kudos to them also for their education of Evan. They encourage his talent but do not let him immerse too much in show biz, so he can focus on his studies and does not get the spoiled star syndrome. because of all the fame and money that comes with show biz.
All I can say Evan is a child prodigy his confidence level and ability at age 4 is mind blowing. He has a bright future ahead thanks to his parents buying a piano, and him taking to it like a fish to water! Goid luck little Evan thoroughly enjoyed your performance😊

Mozart the great composer began at the age of 7, whereas this kid has four compositions already at age 4. Wow!
Mozart started playing and copying his oldest sister playing the piano at the age of three without learning yet how to play the piano. He played it by ear. Actually, he was begging his Father to teach him piano. But his Father thinks that he was too young to teach him piano.

I'm from Torrance, CA--the same hometown as this music prodigy. A buddy of mine at Lincoln Elementary School was also a piano prodigy. Today he is an extraordinarily successful composer, especially of movie scores: James Newton Howard. I wonder whether Evan's family is aware of Evan's predecessor from Torrance.
