  • I wanted less things to carry when taking my RC cars car out. I wanted to run the glow plug igniter off the liPo batteres that power the bump box. You need a igniter with a voltage regulator. The glow plug is expecting 1.2V. If you supply the voltage coming straight from the battery its going to burn out the glow plug coil. The voltage regulator is sometimes referred to a buck converter

Hey I need your help. I bought this glow plug igniter made a 3d printed box to attach it to my starter box and also I solder new wires to better fit my rc needs. But for some reason now is not working. When I attach it to the 3s lipo it reads 11.2v in the input and reads 1.2 in the output in the board and when I read at the igniter itself it reads 1.2v. But when I attach the plug it does not get ignite and in the board output it reads 0 volts.
Any idea why this might be??

Would this also work on rc plane nitro engines?
