  • This video is a sequel to my earlier (September 2023) video titled "A Walk Through the Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Museum (aka Kalamazoo Air Zoo)". After posting that video, some viewers pointed out that I had missed one large hanger full of airplanes; this was due to bad advice from a museum docent while I was there, and because of poor signage at the museum. In early December of the same year, I found myself again passing by the Kalamazoo/Portage area of Michigan, and had just enough time to stop and shoot video of the stuff I missed the first time. I just finish watching your Amtrak video from Chicago to Emeryville California. Planning a round trip onboard that same route myself.

The golf club at 18.29 - didn't one of the moon walkers smuggle a club and a ball onto the lander, and tee'd off from the moon surface?

Hamshakleton, yes, a golf ball and the head of a golf club was taken to the moon, with approval from NASA; it was not smuggled. The astronaut had the head modified so it would fit on the end of a sampling tool handle.
But the question is, why was a golf club head in this display, which is about technological spin-offs from the US space program?
