- I have previously done walk-through videos of the National Museum of the United States Air Force near Dayton, Ohio. Now, in late March of 2024, I was passing through the area and had just a couple hours to kill, so I shot some new video of some of my favorite planes at the museum, including walks through the presidential aircraft.

My favorite place to visit. I traveled there from Fort Worth in the early 2000’s 3 times. I was lucky to have been able to take the tour to the restoration facility and was amazed at the work they do. It was only open on Thursdays. The Memphis Belle was still in pieces and bare of paint except for the nose art which was still on her. This was before the new hangar was built for the X and Presidential planes. For military aviation enthusiasts this is the Holy Grail place.
Thanks Paul! I have missed these and your Amtrak videos!
Great ideas to visit the Air Force Museum again. As an aviation buff I can never get tired of seeing them again.
My favorite is the F 86
Take care and stay safe. “ Happy Tails.”
Thanks for the tour, I went thru in the mid 90's. The presidential craft were in a separate area (kept in the restoration hanger in the active part of Wright-Patterson) that was closed at the time I visited.
There is a great interview with an EC-121 pilot in Thailand.
The Lockheed Flying Speed Brake.
Taxis at 120, Takes off at 120, Cruises at 120 and Lands at 120 haha
made my day a B36, used to watch them take off and land at Lowery AFB Co.and Dad had us hit the ditch many a time when they started wobbeling taking off and the good old Boxcar we watched the NG do take off and landings at Scott AFB IL on weekends, good times
I was stationed at Lowry in 1975. The base had been closed to aircraft by then and had 1000 man dorms on the side of the runways as it was a training base then. It’s been totally closed for years.
(2:33) Always loved the "Connie" but never had to pleasure to fly in one. She is a beautiful plane.
not old enough then
That EC-121D "Warning Star" should be called "Timer"!
Isn't it customary to trip when walking the stairs of the presidents plane?
Can you do the frontier of flight museum in Dallas tx
i live right by that museum. it’s pretty good.
Harryboswell592, I have no intention to visit that museum.
Can't believe they put that STEM dinosaur exhibits. Totally off topics and dumb down museum.
When are you doing train videos again I go to sleep every night watching them
Joshuahampton, I don't much like comments for one topic left on a video for a different topic. Also, I never tell the general UA-cam watching world what my future travel plans are......seriously, who in their right mind WOULD?
