Fantastic buy!!! Great video, also! I was in Europe last fall, including Switzerland, and stopped at several Rolex ADs. No success in finding a sport watch for sale. "Long wait lists, limited availability", etc. Stopped in my local AD in the states, that I have purchased from before, in Dec. 22 with same response. Asked to be put on a wait list for a new Rolex Sub, no date, and received a text in January that one was available. Bought it !!!

A part for a few models Rolex is getting back at retail prices. Entered in a Rolex shop for the first time and they told me that for a dayjust white gold or the milgaus I have to wait 6 months. For the explorer 2 around 8. Finally the hype and the shortage of supplies caused by Covid are passed. They are not cheap by any mean, but for they retail price Rolex are good value and the best wrist presence.
They lied to you. The ADs don’t know how many watches or when they will arrive. And if a longtime customer comes in and wants the watches you’re waiting for they will get them. I wish you well but don’t get your hopes up. If you live in a big area and have no history, you may be waiting yrs - unless the world economy completely tanks.

Generally they do have preferred buyers still like any other AD (frequent business travellers, pilots etc) but in some countries (eg Singapore) there is no waitlist option and it’s first come first served (assuming no one preferred has called ahead to reserve).

Either in Euros or US Dollars.
Are the listed prices in the showcases in Euros as this is in Holland where their currency is the Euros?
Saving on not paying tax is great but we do not know how much was your actual savings.
Appreciate your help.
Thank you.
You made a good decision to ask if the AD had any models available for sale. I simply didn’t ask because I asked at several places and they always said the same thing. Good that you kept trying!! 😊👍👏
For sale or on sale?
Do you pay the custom fee and declared the watch?
Would you? I wouldn't!
Nice tax + duties evasion. That is a criminal offense.
@@knutsenneundorf116 Obey all the rules, don't step on the cracks, don't color outside the lines...
@ Thats not illegal. Other than stealing someone‘s Rolex or tax evasion. Stay classy.
So how much was it?
How much tax did you pay on import to your country?
Fantastic buy!!! Great video, also!
I was in Europe last fall, including Switzerland, and stopped at several Rolex ADs. No success in finding a sport watch for sale. "Long wait lists, limited availability", etc.
Stopped in my local AD in the states, that I have purchased from before, in Dec. 22 with same response. Asked to be put on a wait list for a new Rolex Sub, no date, and received a text in January that one was available.
Bought it !!!
Similar thing happend to me at an airport AD last year, but I played the situation very differently. Congrats man, its an amazing watch you got there.
How did you play the situation? Beat off in the corner?

Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the MaMaCoo , its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
I'm not a huge Rolex fan, but even so I might have been willing to miss my connection just to try that watch on! (I am definitely a blue dial fan, and that is exquisite.) Gorgeous watch, well done!!!!
Blue dials are cool …i have nautilus and a AP ltd edition both blue dial …rolex are good for there bullet proof attributes.
Such an awesome pick up! So lucky of you to get it when they had something in stock. A bluesy at that too!
Anyone Need Accounts Services, Transaction Handle , Currency Exchange 😅
Aren't you supposed to declare the watch to customs while returning to your country? and of course, paying import duties?
No, that’s just for fools with too much money😂
What are you a cop ? 😂😂
So none of the other watches in the cases were available for purchase?
Price ?
Gassan is great! I bought my first Rolex with them in Amsterdam a few weeks ago, an Explorer 1. Super nice people that treated me seriously, even though I'm 21. Have seen that different in multiple other stores unfortunately
The same for Klm crew, i think is a general kind and professional approach i found in the Netherlands several times
With the Rolex bubble bursting I think that they are slowly becoming more available.
1:05 exactly the kind of stink eye you expect as a customer 😂 classic Rolwxt
Well would like to know how much cheaper the watch was please ..
Why did Rolex stop using the shoulders on the case to protect the winding crown? It looks really vulnerable sticking out like that?
I happen to have this same watch, and it’s probably worth about $10k in today's market. I’ve also got a Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Tourbillon and a Patek Philippe!
I’ve had mine for 5 years and it's still pristine!…
3 watches aren’t a collection Estevez, well maybe at least 5. I keep a (Tudor, Datejust, Speedmaster, Blancpain, Tag Heuer and Cartier Santos)
Lol! You’re probably right but as you know my “collection” is worth way more.
Nice collection! If you every want to display your collection, can consider sending me wrist shot videos and I can upload them on this channel for the community to see!
But don’t you think all these watch brands are rather expensive?
the fact that rolex had them in stock and not on waiting list is remarkable.
Yeah, that's right. I called over months to have them update me they have a stock. When they said we have 3 stock now I went straight to Schiphol. After I arrived in 1.5 hour there was onely one left. It's amazing these watches go as candy so fast people buy it.
@@svdb4494 yeah i've called multiple AD"s around miami and all along the coast, there's a waiting list for every single store. Daytona is like 2+ years.
@@thedong5383 I booked a flight Amsterdam to London and back to get the tax advantage 🙂

The 126613LB is one of many Rolex that has been dropping in price some below msrp in the grey market. Not surprised you found one at the airport. but congrats
Congratulations. It’s gorgeous. We got the call for a bluesy & we’re picking it up today. 🥰🙏🏾
How much was it below? so 21% VAT or 16%?
I remember taking several business trips to Hong Kong around 2015. Subs and Pepsis were always on display to be tried on at airport duty free stores, and Nautilus was easily available at Patek boutiques downtown. I told myself I would buy one in a couple of years. A couple of years... 😭
Nautilus easily available ? Wasnt there a 10 year waitlist?
@@GOLDENEYEAL Not in 2015. It was a different age...
🤝 same. Never thought it would be an issue. Oh, well.
PS - HK was great back in the day before Beijing started calling the shots and the locusts were everywhere.
Nice purchase. The staff person at the store seemed very kind and helpful which is nice to see as well.
I've been doing the same last few months have traveled through Europe and Asia and been through some major airports with Rolex stores but every time I ask anything in stock, just smiles and no sorry. Congrats!!!
why bother being open if no watches for sale
@@BitcoinManagement76062 why aren't they selling?
Which clock is it at 0:46 top right. What color is that?
What were you wearing into the store?
What a feeling it must be to walk in and actually buy a Rolex
It felt exactly like going into a store and buying a sweater.
I´d rather keep that money, would make me way more happier.
Congrats on owning such a nice timepiece, so it was for sale if you don't mind me asking how much was it??👀🙂🙂 My dream watch is an Omega Seamaster 300m but its definitely outta my price range atm
That watch is now selling on the grey market for under retail and is quite easy to get.
Where? $15,600 USD is msrp.
Ever since I bought a watch from amzwatch , My question is if it's this hard to tell them apart, what is the point of owning an authentic watch?
Hi how much did safe from normal price if you dont mind telling me.
Its a really awesome watch . Have the SS GMT and Two tone Daytona with a blue Arabic dial. Been on the waiting list for this at Watches of Switzerland for a long time and also been trying to get a Patek Philippe Platinum with minute repeater at another AD in Perth without any luck at all. Well done.
How price Sir?$
A part for a few models Rolex is getting back at retail prices. Entered in a Rolex shop for the first time and they told me that for a dayjust white gold or the milgaus I have to wait 6 months. For the explorer 2 around 8. Finally the hype and the shortage of supplies caused by Covid are passed. They are not cheap by any mean, but for they retail price Rolex are good value and the best wrist presence.
Agreed!!!
I don't hate Rolex, but clearly Rolexes are not good value for the price. They are overpriced for what they are.
@@Solinvicti they’re far from good value but they hold value or rise.
That’s incredible find.
I think it’s more of a incredible opportunity! It’s really hard to get one
Actually with the market how it’s looking. I bet a dealer offers you retail price for it. I know he isn’t selling, just talking value. Then they flip it for a grand profit
The no tax made it a good deal, otherwise, I think you can get that watch for retail price + tax easily
@@johnnychimpo7539 a dealer wouldn't even give you list for it they can be had around and below retail now a lovely watch be no longer investment pieces as well as other Rolex models. The market isn't like before don't believe the hype. Ring a dealer and offer them one and most likely they will only offer to sell it for you for a commission.
@@danielthompson803 what are you trying to say?
It’s an easy watch to get and they would give me a discount?
Can’t beat gold polished Roman numerals that sparkle like jewels in the sunlight. Loving the sun ray dial man that pops!AMZWATCH watches. What a beautiful subtle piece.
As i am watching you buy this Rolex, i am wearing my Invicta Grand Diver and i think, its no Rolex, but for $150, its a damned good watch. Congratulations.

This makes me yearn for my gold Rolex President. The feeling I got when I made the purchase is beyond description. Sadly, regulatory changes forced my company to shut down. I had to sell it along with my wife’s Gold President with shoulder diamonds. After the sale , we walked hand in hand down New Bond Street, London crying our eyes out.
Sorry for your losses. Sometimes you have to do what you need to do in life. Thanks for sharing your memories and story to the watch community. Much appreciated.
@@sgwatchtalk9906Thank you. I appreciate your comment.
How much was it ??? My favourite watch of all time ....
I, too, bought a Blue Dial Timex watch at an airport. I missed my flight because the sales lady had a difficult time removing all the stickers.
On my way to my brother’s funeral in Norway, I visited this boutique and they had two watches sitting in a giant and otherwise empty glass case…a James Cameron Sea Dweller, which the guy who walked in 30 seconds before me snapped up, and a Datejust which I naturally grabbed….the only silver lining in that dreadful experience.
Sorry for the loss of your brother.
I have a James Cameron sea dweller. I’ve also owned the typical Sub with date. Love my Deep Sea.
Buying a Rolex when I bought my first in the 1990s was a dime dozen. I hadn't even heard of Patek until I went to work with some extraordinarily wealthy old money New York families. Rolex was like Timex to them. To think that today it has all this hype is a testament to the power of social media. You can reinvent a brand to have a heritage it actually never earned.
Same, I bought my first Rolex in 94-95 and I just walked in the store and bought it. No hoops to jump through or ass kissing required 😁
Money printing and crypto riches too. Hype without cash doesn’t sell luxury items.
That's crazy, what a nice finding
Thank you!

Rolex = Gypsy watch
The fact he walked into a watch shop and had to ask if they had anything for sale said it all! If that's how it goes, they can keep their watches.
That dealership is gonna get REALLY busy, and that staff member is gonna get asked for A LOT !!

Hi SG Walk Talk,
Please tell us how much did you save buying this beautiful Rolex at the Amsterdam Airport?
Thank you.
Hey can you tell me please how much you buy this watch?
It would've been nice of you to have at least mentioned the price and what you saved from it being duty free buy.
From the info I gathered, it usually goes for 10 to 15k.
Although, I’ll agree that this dumbass could have at least helped with this piece of info because a lot of people might be interested in it.
Cost price in EU approx 15k minus VAT of approx 20-23% so he saved approx 3k so it cost him approx 12k
@@allenfazer You actually only get 12% back, which is still a lot on a huge purchase like that.
Same here, but not at an airport (so I had to pay tax). I went into a store, asked, and they said yes! TT Datejust for me!
Datejust is a beautiful watch! CONGRATZ as well!!!
You know things are bad when people get excited about the chance to buy a two tone datejust haha
@@whereRbearsTeeth what is your suggestion for a dress watch? A chunky submariner or gmt? The only reason to go with all steel rather than TT on the Datejust is if you can’t afford
Love this, how it absolutely should be. Firstly, I was stressing out the whole video thinking your flight was leaving! Secondly, can someone explain to me how the whole bullshit waiting list/preferred bollocks works for airport boutiques 🤣 - It's not like they can call you saying your watch is in and ask if you can pop into the shop...
Generally they do have preferred buyers still like any other AD (frequent business travellers, pilots etc) but in some countries (eg Singapore) there is no waitlist option and it’s first come first served (assuming no one preferred has called ahead to reserve).

Are you serious? I’d gladly pay the fee to change flights to the next day to snag a Rolex. A few hundred vs thousands buying a grey market watch.
I would not feel safe any where in the USA wearing that watch. 😢
I have the exact watch.....even wear it on all my outdoor activities on my channel. Im in the USA and never had a single problem. But I do also have a Glock 9mm in concealed carry under my shirt......... in Georgia.
I’m in Brazil and would use only in closed events and luxury malls(where there are strong security)
Smart buy brother! Enjoy!
nice, what was the price differens between tax free at airport and in a normal store
Whats the point of the store there,if nothings for sale ?
But when you get to your destination you are supposed to declare it and may have to pay the duty on it there!
I was at Dubai airport transit with 3 hours to kill in March on my way home from Thailand to UK.
Went inside a luxury watch store to compare prices. I was wearing my Tudor Black Bay 58 Blue and zeroed in on the same piece on display in the shop.
Can’t figure out this Airport so called duty free anymore, as the sticker price on the Tudor BB58 was higher than the high street price in UK !
So much for being tax free !!
Same thing happened 15 mins later in a different store. My headphones had given up whilst on holiday, so I bought a brand new pair of Bose NC Bluetooth Headphones.
They were exactly the same price in the duty free area of Dubai Airport as they are in any high street HiFi shop in UK - full RRP - no saving whatsoever!
What is the price this model of rolex? Exactly this blue model
