Chorus:
It's another lonely evening
In another lonely town
But I ain’t too young to worry
And I ain’t too old to cry
When a woman gets me down
Got another empty bottle
And another empty bed
Ain’t too young to admit it
And I'm not too old to lie
I'm just another empty head

true fans right here. I thought that when I read 'George' and then I saw 'Alex' and then 'Margaret'.
TRUE fans
Something about Mal's and Cliff's backing vocals that are just hauntingly amazing. Such simple backing vocals but they were magic. Miss you Malcom.
Yes and its so sorely painfully missed in the most recent outing of DC since both are now not there in the band
It is so damn cool to watch Angus express his inner music. No glamor, no false attempts to look cool or show off. It is just pure musical expression
I think they realize how important this song is to us, the fans. Even tho Brian's voice left long before 2001, he pulled this off a lot better than I expected, and he was true to Bon without trying to make it his own. Surprising how well this went down considering the year.
No pedals. No effects. Just Chuck Berry influenced voicings over the best rhythm guitar I know.
I don't get it . Bon and Brian both are fn awesome!! Thank God for both.a true acdc fan loves both era's
The Captain Amen
l dont understand why everyone tries to compare.....bon is gone but not forgotten....at least in my heart...you have to remember that they are an old fashon rock n roll band...thats all...l love them both....malcolm is the reason l started playing guitar....my only fear in life is that some day soon ac dc will not exist....l have relied on the boys for 30 years to make new material so l can be mal in my own world and drink a case of beer and play guitar till my fingers would bleed.....thats what theit music is about...at least for me...
TRUUE!!
Ride on 🤘🏾
Acdc are symbol of hope: even in the darkest times they were able tokick asseslike never one before
Ride on is probably AC/DCs number 1 song for me. Most AC/DC songs aren’t slow but this one is and has the most emotional and deepest lyrics. It almost strikes an emotional chord for me hearing it especially wit bon singing it
This is the closest to a ballad that they ever did lol. Unless they would’ve slowed down Rosie haha
It's the break-up song...or just one ya might wanna have drink with.... Dirty Deeds, mmmmmm hmm
Same
And in the Brian Johnson era we have „trough the mists of time“ ❤
There's so much packed into this. Bon will ALWAYS be the voice of.ACDC. Brian did an admirable job here, but no
Definitely one of my favourite AC/DC songs, so well written. I wish they performed in live more
Bon scott wrote it
No they shouldn't play it live because bon Scott wrote the song and bon Scott made this song come alive and nobody can sing it like BON ❤❤❤
@@sharonseeley7476go f yourself in the bon Scott. Stop comparing them and just enjoy the band. Scott died 45 years ago. Get over your pretentious bull or leave the fan base. True fans love both eras and would appreciate the touching tribute this was.
@@sharonseeley7476 - It was too good of a song and too good of a tribute to not play it occasionally.
Just been reading about this performance. This is the only time ever that AC/DC played this song live. A bonus encore for Paris, dedicated to Bon and John Lee Hooker, who had died that month.
Excellent!
Wow thanks!!
Angus gave a lot of love to John Lee Hooker.
Not just that month. The previous day. This was on June 22nd 2001 and John died June 21st 2001.
I didn’t know that. Nice
@@YourFellowRNRSisterFan98 Love that song my favorite acdc song because it's home
The best rhythm section of all-time. Malcolm was not a showboat but one of the underrated greats.
I’m guessing that your averag4* rock music fan mightf&realize there were 2 guitarists in the band. I think it’s ok to consider the 2 great brothers as one great guitarist. It’s not accurate but why not.
They (almost?) never played this song live, except this one time. And I'm proud to say that I was there. I'll never forget seeing the guys come back for an encore, wearing these jerseys in what used to be the temple of French football at the time. Probably one of the best moments of my life.
LET THERE BE ROCK
J'y étais aussi ! Une émotion incroyable !!!
This song... incredible vocals, incredible lyrics, incredible guitar solo, but the rhythm section of Malcolm, Cliff and Phil are next level. 🤘💜
AC DC is the best group around no one can beat them
It's not, and has never been -a competition.🤘😘
Sure but BON was best
You never heard of Pink Floyd or Led Zeppelin then! Bon Scott died 1 day before my 18 birthday 😢 I dedicated my birthday to him and I got ripped because then the drinking 🍸 age was 18 😅
I will never claim this band or that band to be any better than the other! They all had their own unique style of play, sound and performance all I'll say is Rock n Roll is the greatest music in the history of man kind and always will be.
Malcolm's vocals are very clear in this recording.
yeah, Cliff sounded good, too, but Malcolm was GREAT!
Mikey Rocky Hayes 1477 Phil is always solid!!!
Phil’s snare sounds awesome. His kit always sounds great.
Phill is probably one of the most solid drummers going round. The human metronome they call him. Even when he's off chops!
Yes. Lovin Malcom’s vocals here. Rarely heard and seen singing so clear
Wasn't even aware AC/DC had a live version of Ride On, I love it.
actualy this one is the only one
I'll waste no time on the negative comments ,I'll just say this Brian is every bit a part of AC/DC as Bon Scott was period .
Ride On is my fav ACDC tune and this is awesome...Thank you Brian for both making it your own and also keeping it authentic. Not easy to do but you nailed it!!
I dunno if the people in Paris that night knew how blessed they were to hear this song live. Brian did his version of it and he nailed it, imo anyway. Ride On boys.
So true, must've been a magic moment.
A moment of rock history. Brian totally gave everything and made it his own....
And even if I would love to see them play the song I hope on the other hand that this will be the only time they played the song...
@@elvisp5456 It was a magic moment, the perfect end to a perfect night, and I'm so grateful I was fortunate enough to witness it at my first ever AC/DC concert, no less. And knowing the story behind this in retrospect, that they decided to do it as a form of thank you to their French fans the day before the concert makes it all the more special.
Ride on,Malcolm We Salute You.
One of my favourite AC/DC tracks ever. I beleive this is the only time it was ever performaed live. The best example of "playing awesome blues riff whilst running down the stage" that you will ever see!!
Thank you AC☆DC for all the years of music and talent we as fans have received. From all your fans here and gone, we salute you. FIRE!!!!!
"Malcom, we got you a shirt."
"Yeah, nah."
Mal said in interview that he told to everybody " take care, don't forget your shirt guys !" but he forgot his
The shirts were gifts to the band
Malcolm's shirt got stolen before the concert, according to a French journalist in an interview
Malcolm shirt did not get stolen..he forgot to put it on..that came from his guitar tech Bison..
Love this song. Love this. Loved Bon. Love Brian. Respect is due and is given here.
For me Phil Rudd is AC / DC. punctual, simple, Hard and Daredevil
I really couldn’t agree with you more
My favorite song of all time no matter which one sings it! Awesome 👍
Excellent tune and Brian is doing a great job of it RIDE ON
I've followed DC since 81 and I've Never seen a live version of Ride on ,much more a Ride version with Brian fkn brilliant this was awesome
The part when Brian sings "one of these days i'm gonna change my evil ways" always gives me chills. I love it
To all that are hating this version... It sounds like it came live straight off the board. No effects or over production. I love it for the fact that Brian done this his own way for neither better or worse. Just gave it all like he always has.... I'm gonna miss him being in this band.
well said
I'm disappointed. Sorry.
Rarely performed live . Not sure if ever done live with Bon . This is good. No he’s not Bon & never tried to be .
of course he is not Bon Scott. But what a dumb stupid comparison. Brian is singing this song greatly, with heavy and deep bluesy voice. And I love this version, Brian sings his way, he has no need to compete with Bon Scott. Caomparisons are pointless. It's just mere fanboy speculations. and fanboy is evil. always. Enjoy music if you can, If you can't no problem, just keep your mouths shut.
Without Brian Johnson, AC/DC is done.
Fucking Brian smoking on stage mid-set. Fucking love AC/DC
Merci 😊
I met brain in Vancouver once got an autograph and the pen wouldn't work(of course)he went into the hotel got a pen at the front lobby and made it all good nicest guy you could ever meet .he kept saying you alright my son do you need anything else, my son. Great guy. you have a great day lad.
Brian has fronted this band for over forty years for a reason. There is a very good reason. He is very good at what he does. Here, he is covering another man's song. Of course it's not going to be as good as Bon's version. Deal with it. Angus and Malcolm have...
Bon told the guys if something ever happened to him,
They should get Brian, he first saw Brian playing with Geordie when
He was wiith Fraternity on their disastrous tour of the UK
I have been an AC/DC fan since I was 8, I am 50 now, I never seen this video! wow love it thanks for putting it up.
Best blues song of all time!!!
...and there in the background is Phil puffing on his cig. My goodness what a band.
Brian Giving Bon Scott( RIP) The Credit at the intro was Class. Brian Johnson A Good Lad.👍👍🤘🤘
There will never be another ANGUS. This mate gets more exercise on stage then any other bloke who plays guitar standing on stage !
AC/DC BaBy 🤘😎
Man these guys just love to play. Bon Scott was legendary no question, but man Brian Johnson quickly adapted and they put out several really amazing albums...just having fun, riding on the advice from Bon's family to continue the band because it's what he would have wanted. This is a Bon Scott song for sure, but the way he payed homage to him in the beginning is commendable.
The band: let's put on france soccer jerseys because we are going to play in Paris.
Malcolm: What?
RIP Malcolm 💜
Soccer ?
The jerseys were a gift to the band. They were left in their dressing room and Malcolm's was stolen before the concert. That's why he's not wearing one.
Foooot baaaaaall
ok boomer
I thought they would never play this live again, this is a great tribute to Bon!! Thanks Guys
Great rendition of AC⚡DC's only "ballad" ever - and Brians smokey'n'raspy voice fits so good... gave me chills!!
Agreed! Don't forget about "Love Song". Another great tune 🤘
I always thought the same thing. They always say they didn’t have any ballads. Love the Brian Johnson era but Bon was a blues singer to the bone.
I think Bon would be looking down with a big grin on his face and saying well done Brian you did me proud son you have kept my spirit alive through my lyrics.
Brian's got heart...Plus he can drive and I dig the shit outta that!
"One of these days gonna change my evil ways.... one of these days..." great lyric
Love you for singing this Brian. Brilliantly done. Love the shirts and mega performance angus.💞😍😄😃
I'm so happy to see Brian perform this song. I know it probably wasn't easy for him because his acdc songs were rarely slow, but this is a sight.
Looks like it was pretty emotional for the whole band..full respect to Bonny!! Legends!
Thanx Malcolm
Just only the first seconds with the guitar and lights sounds crazy epic and years ahead of the rest of musicians.
Such a classic tune. One of their best
And that's why 🎆
what a great, soulful rendition. Rest in Peace, Bon.
Ride on is just about the best AC/DC song to sing along to
This song has always made me super emotional.
Everyone (AC/DC): Different attire 😀
Malcolm: mEh! I'm not going to wear that shirt 🙄
😂😂😂😂
Love to hear angus playing the blues good job brian love the song.
just ❣... Great perfomance... one of the saddest songs ever.
Fabuloso ! Mi blues favorito, muchas gracias
Oi, much love. 1988 Melbourne tennis Centre. David and I were up in front of Angus, we Ballarat boys. 🇭🇲
Pure blues here and it’s amazing. I’m not the biggest AC/DC fan but I’ll always love this song and it’ll always be my favorite classic rock song
He smoks wow ac dc Forever please i hope they come back both !
I love this band. AC/DC I meet Brian Johnson in 1982 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. He was a true gentleman. He was so gracious. Not sure what year. He said he was on his way to Phoenix to play the back in Black tour I said right on my name is Brian also. He said rock ‘n’ roll, Brian. I never forget. Thank you BRIAN, AC/DC
Bon was pure rock n roll..Bon forever
Holy shit! I've never seen this! This is awesome!
Magnifique souvenir que ce "Ride On" comme rappel après ce concert mémorable au stade de France.
Aucun groupe ne nous fera vibrer comme AC/DC nous a fait vibrer pendant presque 50 ans.
Thank you Brian to taking this song to the stage for us! AFAIK it was never played live with Bon
20 years ago today, ROCKnROLL WILL NEVER DIE
Came for the solo, wasn't disappointed!
Jesus Christ it's been 37 years and Bon Scott is dead. Brian has dedicated over a third of a century to AC/DC and you all act like he personally killed Bon.
Brian is no Bon Scott. And Bon Scott was no Brian Johnson. They both have their awesomeness. Was Bon better? In some ways. But SO WHAT? You want to dig him up and reanimate him or something??
Well said sir, Bon is Bon and Brian is Brian.
Both are amazing singers.
B J. Schmor imagine if both were on stage together, would be unique
Both had their own flavor that worked amazingly
@@Tony-112 ROB LIOTTI AS BON SCOTT!
R.I.P. Bon Scott and Malcolm Young. Thank you, and all of AC/DC, for providing the soundtrack of my life.
truly a rare performance, great shots of the band !!! good job Bryan
***** oops sorry Brian
This is beautiful.
que empiece dedicándole la canción a Bon, hizo que se me saliera una lágrima.
A mi también me pasaba, pero ahora me pasa de verlo al querido Malcolm ahí.
All y'all need to quit complaining about Brian. He's done justice to Bon's songs for 39 years, doing his best to keep the band going. Sure, he's no Bon Scott, but Bon was no Brian Johnson either. They played this song one time in almost 40 years and people flip out that Brian apparently should have just let this one die. In my book, there are no tunes too sacred to sing in the AC/DC repertoire. If anything I think this was a long-delayed and much deserved tribute to Bon. This was Bon's song, and he deserved to be laid to rest with it. Ride on, Bon. Ride on, Mal.
Rest in peace Malcolm❤ Ride on
This is a Bon song but this is an amazing performance from all of them ❤️❤❤
It's not a Bon song, it's Bon's song...usually nobody should sing this song...but Brian is singin it great and with respect.
Amazing to hear Brian doing this song!
Never heard this one, it is in the same style as Nightprowler and Overdose, very nice song
You can find it on the Dirty Deeds album
One of my favourite songs, long live AC/DC
AC--DC Красавчики!!!
This is one of I believe of 2 songs of AC/DC my aunt liked 😂😂 Little Lover was the other! She listened to country music 😂😂
the beret, the french soccer shirt, the smoke.......must be a concert in France, il manque le croissant n the Beaujolais....and la greve
Ac/dc greatest rock band ever
Hats off to Brian! Bon would be proud!
deffs he wouldn't be proud of axl though hahaha
Would he fcuk johnson has destroyed it like he has done to every Bon song, sing the ones he wrote ffs mind you there are not too many a them in the playlist
seriously?
Are you sure? This guy humiliates this song... How did he dare singing it?!
you are right, Brian gum up, muff up, crap up this song , its not song for him, sorry
One of the best classic AC/DC blues sound! Angus can always get down with it. 🖒💖♩🎶🎵🎼🎸🔊🔊🔊🔊
They should play this song at every concert, as a tribute to Bon. Brian does a great job here. Of course he doesn't sound the same as Bon. Just because he sounds different doesn't mean it's bad. On the other hand, how would Bon sound on songs like Thunderstruck or For Those About to Rock? I reckon the only person in the world to perform those songs so well is Brian, no matter how great Bon was
we salute you... sorry 😂
shut up nobody cares
Ohh dude youn are so right. I would also add ROCK N ROLL AINT NOISE POLLUTION / BACK IN BLACK / YOU SHOOK ME ALL NIGHT LONG
Brain is excellence on who made who and shook me all night and sink the pink. Would still love to hear Bon scott sing those although, bon would have come up with different melodies vocal phrazing and lyrics, so those songs wouldnt exist as we know them, same music but totally diferent vocal phrazing and lyrics. Bon was the best, right up top of the rock legend pyramid, but not sure he would have been able to beat Brain johnson with what he would have done for vocals over Hells bells and who made who and you shook me. Malcom such an amazing guitar chord song arranger ...
I want this song played at my funeral. Such a kickass song, rip Bon Scott. 🤘
Brian Johnson. This guys sings great. Love his voice. Sings bon songs the way they were meant to be sung.
These two great singers both have contributed so much to the band and would be hugging each other like brothers today. I am certain one day they will. Bless
Brian does an admirable job on this, but Ride On is one of those songs that--especially with Bon not being on this Earth anymore--is impossible to do. In my opinion, this is probably Bon's most personal song; giving him a human, vulnerable side to all of his hard partying ways.
I totally agree. Bon could sing the mellower, more emotional songs better than Brian and especially Axl.
listen to Brian's house of the rising sun cover in his band Geordie. Trust me he could sing mellow songs quite well.
Listen to Brian sing "you gotta help" live during his Geordie days. Dude can sing
While I do agree that Ride On is best with Bon (no offense to Brian, this is awesome), the award for the song that only Bon could do is It's A Long Way to the Top (If You Wanna Rock n Roll)
Correction: its impossible to do this song like Bon Scott did it, but this is a tribute not a rendition.
Bon is smiling great job Brian and AC DC we mess you all
this was actually pretty amazing!
I'm happy they did this song, looking back in retrospect, it's cool to hear them perform the song. :)
Miss Bon and Malcolm, they live forth in our AC/DC hearts
Wow the way Brian said "I'm going to Ride On" at 1:18 was really satisfying
rip malcolm and bon love this song acdc is a awesome rock band brian just one hell of a job singing bons songs
Rest with. Bon you've rock and roll. R. I. P
Never knew Brian did this song live. Had this in my suggestions and was not disappointed
Thank you for this AC/DC (Brian era) you didn't have to do it, but it sure was great to hear you do it!! Thank you :)
Both have their own charm, you just can't compare
Ride on Malcolm we salute you!
Great live performance of an AC/DC classic.
And that classic rock tone that Angus and Malcolm (R.I.P), get from their guitars is magical, Gibson + Gretsch + Marshall = Rock N Roll Heaven.
