I have this kit in copper sparkle. The only change I've made is to upgrade the hoops from 1.6 mm triple flange to 2.3 mm flange. Adding a 2" riser to the bass drum makes them sound much bigger. The quality is excellent. They are made in the DW factory in Taiwan to Gretsch's specs.

IMO, this is the best budget bop size kit for jazz tuning. Other brands with similar sizes wouldn't bop(ing) that much - not enough rounded-sound compared to the Gretsch.

Great video!! I have the same kit but I'm having trouble to get the floor tom to sound as I want to (like yours). Any tip?
Thanks! I usually tune both heads pretty high. Tap the head next to each tension rod, to check if you have the same pitch.
It didn’t come naturally to me, got frustrated a lot of times when I couldn’t get the right sound out of the drums. But I kept trying, and it got better eventually.
