"A perfect yet missed opportunity" is the Wii U's existence in a nutshell
Its nice to hear that you had a great time with the bedrock edition on switch. Sadly, for me and many others that wasn't the case. For me the game would take about 3 minutes to load and lag spikes along with crashes were very frequent. Minecraft was basically unplayable on switch for me and others which was sad, but nowadays the game runs fine.
Did you have it from the start or after playing for some time?
@@lokemannen101 maybe a couple months after it came out, but it was at its worst in like early 2019, the update that added different cats and pandas. The game would even crash when starting up at that time, i couldnt even play anymore.

Yea the original release of bedrock on switch was clunky and borderline unplayable
nowadays it's fine and runs quite well, but for a few years I remember I stuck to the old console version on switch coz I'd bought it digitally and thus still had it and bedrock separately

Minecraft on my wii u was my first time playing minecraft on a console I only played pocket edition before loved playing it so much I had countless hours on it 😂

Same the Wii U was so underrated it often runs better than the modern Switch Bedrock Edition.

Same! I played on an old iPad and I would go over to my cousin's place or he would go to my place and we'd play Minecraft on his Wii U as well.

I grew up on the Xbox 360 version but when the Wii U offered a semi-handheld experience with proper controller support I had to pick it up (despite the higher price). I didn’t have any friends that had a Wii U so I just played it on my own and made a bunch of pixel art on a super flat world. I always felt like a fully portable version of the game was something I really wanted though. The only issue was I didn’t have a ps vita, the only full console edition available then. That said, the day the 3ds version was announced, I lost my mind lol. I still play it off and on to this day, despite having the pocket edition with a Backbone One controller.

1. You will play on the lowest possible settings for it to run more or less stable
2. You have 1-2 second delay after breaking a block before it drops
3.If your world is more than 300mb (around an hour of playing) loading gonna take around 2-3 minutes

The 3ds edition is not considered a legacy edition of Minecraft because 1 it is not on a home console and 2 it was not made or developed by 4j studios
I played the New 3DS edition once, it's not as bad as people make it out to be, the low resolution of the 3DS is never an issue in the actual console, and the game has pretty good performance, running at 60 FPS and having bigger world than the previous gen editions of the game
Console edition on Switch runs much better than Bedrock
Before the 3DS Minecraft Version came out a friend of mine bought a Minecraft clone on the Eshop that had weapons like guns that you could craft X'D
She really wanted a 3DS Minecraft, so she also bought it when it was released.
I actually used to play the WiiU Minecraft a lot with my friends back when it was released, but I actually totally forgot about it until I bought some WiiU games before the Eshop was closed.
I then discovered that I had Minecraft WiiU Edition and it was such a memory discovering my old worlds that I've already forgotten XD
The WiiU times were so great, me and my friends played so much games on the WiiU and 3DS and spent way too much time in Miiverse, chatting, drawing pictures, etc. :'D
Something I’d like to see is the history of IPs like GTA or COD on Nintendo consoles, especially since I’ve played some of them in this way. Great video btw ❤

I never noticed it being that bad on N3DS i always loved the 3DS version and i didn't really have fps issues the only thing that annoyed me was a limit on item frames per chunk and there is only smooth stone slabs no smooth stone block. Mind you most memory of the game comes from how much you could glitch the game not in a obnoxious way but more of a fun jank like noclipping your head into a ender chest.
That's surprising, is no clipping your head into an ender chest considered fun?
@@346Yoman Like I said it was a fun jank the kind you can just have fun breaking it and seeing how far you can break it. However no matter how hard you went it never crashed it just was more broken making it even better of a experience.
I would have totally jumped on the 3DS version had it actually had 3D. Despite people not tending to use the 3D function, I love 3D and was so disappointed that there was no such feature.

I still think the Ps vita one is my favorite when it comes to handhelds besides the switch, its crazy how well it ran for a handheld in 2012 and had insane battery life

I have it and it’s not that bad. You just have to turn the c stick sensitivity up. I’m planning on beating it on the 3ds.
I have it too it’s amazing. Although It has a very low amount of chunks and it gets laggy at times. You just can’t get over the fact that is minecraft running in a 3ds

I live in the uk and in he direct it said they would have a physical release in the uk later on but the only possible way to play it since the eshop closed march 27 this year is the new 2nd xl special edition I was wondering if you know if it had a physical copy

Ok we gotta talk about the minigame feature on the Wii U, it offers 3 different fun minigames that literally should be on every platform! I remember playing these and having so fun! And I know we have servers in the game nowadays but still, with a little improvement minigames in Minecraft could be a real banger.

The Og mini games on the consoles was better then any of the servers now, fight me.
Wii U has FREE online multiplayer with VOICE CHAT!!! No other version has voice chat, at least not directly within the game.
I like the old Nintendo switch edition over the current version.

I play Minecraft on Switch way more than PS4, it's a ton of fun in handheld mode even if it's too underpowered when running online servers
Let alone on Lenovo tab m10 hd to play multiplayer servers on latest version.
Are the performance issues as bad as people say? I'm not interested in Multiplayer at all, just wanna play single player survival
@@aberoy9957 It runs single player survival well, I have a world and it works fine except for when I'd have many entities (Redstone farms) in one area but that is to be expected
I would have LOVED the 3DS version in Middle and High School.
The thing I hate about the Bedrock edition however is the fact that it isn't supported on Mac. :(
I’m pretty sure with every legacy edition Minecraft it has to save every 20 minutes or so and pause the game completely

I believe it pauses the gameplay only on Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita, Wii U and 3DS. The Xbox One, PS4 and Switch editions should have background autosave

cube life island survival was what we got when we was waiting for Minecraft boys
Minecraft 3DS is super underated in my opinion, it somehow put Minecraft on something weaker then the average smartphone, it may not run as well as other versions, but I've played my fair share of it and it's just as capable of giving a good time as the other versions.
So fun fact, I own the “”””OG”””” version of the game on switch and it’s the main version I play with friends since for some stupid reason every player needs NSO when playing with couch co-op (it’s quite literally just the Wii U version with switch buttons)
That is the superior version anyways, bedrock is so inconsistent on switch and I wish legacy was still available

9:59 wrong info, xbox one and ps4 editions stopped getting updates a couple years ago, ps4 is one update ahead of xbox one tho
2 updates actually the bedrock on Xbox One was released in September 2017 the first console to get bedrock and its final update was the world of color update/1.12

What sucks about the Wii U port is that they absolutely had the capability to do everything you suggested and more. They just... didn’t do it for some reason. They could have done what the 3DS did for inventory. It's so unfortunate how much they dropped the ball.

I was so upset as a kid when the switch legacy edition stopped updating. It's been 5 years and the community for switch legacy edition is still pretty big, The legacy edition runs x10 better than Bedrock edition, It had better graphics, Felt like it was MADE for the switch. After they took it down, The community died very quickly which is very upsetting to see.
Minecraft new 3DS is underrated
One thing I think is wild is there's no Xbox Series and PS5 enhanced versions of Minecraft yet.
Also Spin-Off wise, the Switch port of Story Mode Season2 is the ONLY complete on cart verison of the game you can play, as the other versions require a download you can't get anymore.
No p5 or Xbox series x version is cause Xbox and PlayStation do not get along

As far as I have noticed, the Switch is the most expensive version of Minecraft, it is a few more dollar than Java. Also Mobile is the cheapest even though it is now the same version.

For me the Nintendo Switch Legacy Edition runs much better than Bedrock. A lot of times the world doesn't load propely even it's completely empty. And the controls are also a bit clunky (I know you can customize them, but idk kinda feels weird in comparison)
