If you are wondering why the evolution ends at V1.1, it is because Pocket Edition was renamed to simply Minecraft and was referred to as Bedrock Edition.
I remember these old Minecraft PE versions, especially where the world is limited. I used to build 1 block tower to its maximum height after what I was walking around this invisible wall. I miss these simple and careless times.😢❤
Early minecraft PE was such a fun experience for how early stage it was. I remember i had the “stonecutter” before it was fully added and implemented on all platforms, and that you had to dig straight down to mine because there was just no mines yet either. Bedrock could also be broken in creative and youd just fall thru the world into the void. 1st house i built was a ugly dirt house in the side of a mountain which i planted flowers in the walls
Yeah it was very fun, I played game the game with my brother and I remember that I was playing survival and it was night and needed wool for a bed so I went out and saw a village for the very first time and I was so thrilled and excited and told my brother. Then a built a stone fortress near the village with dispensers as fire cannons. And the old stonecutter was useless back then so I didn't even use it.
5:13 Man, 0.5.0 was the version I started playing Minecraft PE. I was 13 years old, I didn’t have my own PC nor a PC that could run Minecraft very well. I remember playing this on my Grandpa’s Kindle Fire while he was at work. I had such amazing memories building houses, discovering Minecraft PE UA-camrs, countless laughs playing local multiplayer with my friends. 11 years later and multiple versions of Minecraft later, I’m still playing Minecraft at the age of 24. I now play Minecraft Bedrock on my PS5 and the similarities between Bedrock and OG Pocket Edition is very nostalgic to me and I’m glad I found this game. This game has gotten me through so much and still continues to get me through life. Definitely a top 5 favorite game of all time. ❤️
For some strange reason your comment was held for review and I wasn't able to read it. It's awesome to see that you still continue to play and enjoy Minecraft so many years later. Minecraft is a game that feels timeless, you can never truly stop playing it. I really hope that it won't crumble under Microsoft's control, and that it will continue to blossom for many more years!
To be honest, I’m a little salty that the console editions turned into MCPE with a controller. Don’t get me wrong, I am nostalgic towards older MCPE versions, but I’m also nostalgic to the legacy console versions of the game (mainly the Xbox one edition) and I was disappointed to say the least, when I first booted up the bedrock version of the game on the Xbox one.
No shame to be playing Minecraft, I actually played it for the first time when I was like 26-27. Correct me, but I think minecraft is is now more popular for people in their 20-30s than teens and especially little kids as it it was back in the day. (Roblox primary and probably fortnight are where majority of kids are concentrated).
i started playing probably ~0.7 or so. before all the redstone shit was added and i was like 4 years old lol. im 16 now and playing java edition and have since ~2019 and its still fun to this day
It's hard to remember exactly what version I started playing, but I know for sure I played before the end was introduced. I still remember when they introduced different colored beds and glass and I thought it was the coolest update ever!
Me too lol, I remeber there being end portal frames and trying to make a portal not knowing how because we didn’t have eyes of ender And the stained glass update was the most amazing thing to me as well
i remember actually seeing the nether reactor core and thinking "what the hell does this even do, its useless" didnt know you could make a nether with it at all
Man i wish i could recuperate my world from the 0.5/0.6 version! Iconic, had so many unique features and the limited world was actually fun. Miss the old days
Yeah to be fair, I actually kind of enjoyed the limited worlds. It was fun to use all you had in a smaller area to its fullest potential, it really added to the gameplay.
@@rivelbop I still prefer limited worlds, not only does it mean I can never get lost but it also means that finding a Nether Fortress / Stronghold is quite easy
0.9.0 or 0.8.0 was the version I started playing when I was around 6 or 7 and the mcpe community at the time was way different than it is today. The nostalgia I get from old mcpe videos on how to crouch without the crouch button (since the crouch button wasn’t added yet) and making campfires out of boats and a torch. These early versions of mcpe are in my opinion the best to start mcpe with since every new update after it felt like it was slowly catching up to Java and a better and newer experience.
At around that same time, it felt that MCPE was at its peak point. The game was on a roll, the updates were fantastic, and the game felt likes its own separate experience from the Java and console versions. Eventually I feel like Bedrock kinda ruined the "specialness" that PE had.
Dang, me too. I remember donwloading map from my brother file and playing spongebob map. I also remember ruining my brother survival world because I thought the zombie were steve
I remember I first played MCPE on version 0.2.1/0.2.3 and I used to be hyped when a new update came. Especially when new items and mechanics were introduced. Good times.
When I hear kids now a days saying that Minecraft is boring yet it has so many updates. Back in the day, Minecraft PE 2012 was like the most modern thing for me on game phones.
I still wish I could go back to my old worlds but my tablet I used as a kid stopped working then like 5 years ago I found it in the closet and decided to smash it last year I found out that those tablets had an issue where they would stop working but it was as simple as pressing the on button for like 15 sec I could have seen my old worlds😭
Man pocket edition history is almost unknown. I know most of it because I started in pe alpha 0.8.1 and Man I will enjoy talking about it for anyone, I also miss the bugs from old pe versions that become features but removed these days for "parity"
A known pocket edition bug was that trees spawned on the ground looking like fallen trees and kept it because the community told an exclusive pocket edition dev known as Tomasso Chechi on twitter to leave the bug as a feature. Some time later it was added in the java version.
Man, 0.6-0.9 were the most nostalgic for me, I remember playing minecraft for the first time in 0.6, I remember being so, SO annoyed by the 5 slot hotbar that was never big enough. I wish every day that I could visit those worlds one last time, look at the quartz "modern" houses I built, check out my dirt huts, maybe even find my nether reactor towers...
I remember playing MC Java in 2012 and then having my pc stuffed in boxes due to moving and familiar issues. While I was having a hard time to adapt I came across minecraft PE thanks to a cousin who also loved to see Minecraft's gameplay, we were so close to each other after that point because we spent days of 2014-15 together playing with friends in local worlds, beautiful memories, even if the game didn't had a lot of things back in 0.7.0 and 0.8.0 we the players, had fun bonding with each other Those versions also teached me how to login and register in external servers haha, lifeboat was the only server available. Gold times
I even still remember the thrill about the changing interface because I wanted to craft by myself, but man, all things were so fun to expect even if on pc they were just minimum
I remember that some of these older versions on MCPE. the zombie pigmans models weren't completed because we don't see the skin of their faces which they were unused until it was fixed when they still existed
Its so crazy to think back on. I started playing right before 0.5.0 and just remembering those worlds and the hype we had for each update back then. Ironically once the game actually started getting really good after that is when i stopped playing I remember the last update i played was when infinite worlds were added. I remember when it was maybe 2013 or something and it was electronic day at our school one of my friends brought his ipad and had pocket edition someone then told him about the nether reactor core and we were all blown away, as a person who played xbox 360 edition I was shocked, this was also maybe in 2nd grade, so like 1 year after I got Minecraft for the first time...
Some of my best Minecraft memories are from Minecraft Lite. One thing I did with my siblings was called "Poo jail". There were so few blocks, so we built a jailhouse out of brown wool and had 1 cop and 2 criminals, and the cop just had to hit the criminals, and since the world size was limited you could never run forever. When you got hit you had to go to poo jail.
i started with 0.6/0.7 man i never tried survival cause i think it's scary , then 0.9 dropped felt like i'm playing a whole different game. i still remember those cake houses i made, when redstone dropped i played for like 12 hours a day, man i miss those days

I remember the world being limited, and the nether reactor. My sister's classmate downloaded a newer version of Minecraft back then on her phone, where I play (didn't have a phone back then) I was so happy because the world wasn't limited anymore and the nether update newer stuff too, and the rush as a kid exploring in Minecraft makes it more thrilling, this game has a special place in my heart.
I still remember Pocket Edition Light. Limited number of blocks, small world and no way to save your progress, yet many of my best memories in connection with this game come from that time when I was playing this version :D
Thank you for the love and support! Maybe we will get there someday. It is comments like these that allow me to push forward and put as much quality and effort as I can into videos. ♥️♥️
I remember playing this on my KINDLE FIRE. I remember the app crashing and seeing it was updated to version 0.8 and was thrilled that they added rails and minecarts. The memories will live forever in my mind.
@ellae24 I used to have a world with my brother, sadly now lost to time, we used to play it every day after school. Wish I remembered the seed because it had a little bit of everything at the time.
Wow, I didn't know Minecraft Pocket Edition ended. I thought that Consul Edition was replaced by a modified P.E. and both got renamed to Bedrock. And then a PC version came.
The Pocket Edition technically did not end, it was renamed to Bedrock, I didn’t include those versions since I personally don’t classify them as the Pocket Edition any more.
12:14 this is the version where i spent most of my childhood with. but for some reason, The version i remember had a menu was slightly different, there were no pistons and nametags at all, leashes and saddles were only obtainable through the nether fortresses, and saddles being useless I'm not sure if the horses and donkeys were in it but that's all i can remember
i still have no idea how, but in really really old mcpe i was mining a tree and it dropped a crafting table, i had zero idea how to craft or what crafting was up until that point, and it completely opened up the game for me
Version 1.1 was the biggest part of my childhood, why? It had the old textures (most notably the water), old villages, and everything before the 1.13 update (aquatic update) I remember when I first tried playing minecraft, I didn't know how to do it so I just made holes all over the soil, hopin no mobs will attack me, I remember the inability to do it in a desert since sand will fall, and if I spawn in a village I will just stay in a house for a long time so I don't get attacked, but when I found out abt Creative mode, I just float around the entire world, and when I saw a video of a village being blown up, I decided to imitate that action and keep blowing up villages, ah, the good old days
I did the same. My brother and I would both get on cracked versions of MCPE on our tablets and play on LAN. That was honestly such a great time, time really does fly fast.
I remember on Twitter when pocket edition first came out you were able to talk to the dev responsible for updates. I had a few chats with the guy, and it was cool finding out what was coming next before the update.
1:21 I hate to break the bad news, but mojang re-added the block breaking delay to bedrock edition in 1.20. Breaking blocks is so much slower than before and I HATE IT. Its broken the main mechanic of creative mode and the main mechanic of the way I think.
Man Minecraft V 0.8 was the my real experience with Minecraft, pocket edition was the first edition I ever played. I still miss roses 🌹. I even miss the old stonecutter but the new one is good.
I remember playing on that one seed that had diamonds right below spawn. It was such an amazing feeling getting down there as soon as possible to grab them. I think it was “404” or something like that
I remember a survival world I had. I went to the border limit and had a huge mine that went against the border, so when the sun went down the sunset looked beautiful
@@Nothim19994 Hey, I would like to know your reason on why you believe the video was explained poorly. I like to look into how I can improve in the future.
0.8 and 0.12 was MY peak of minecraft, i started playing that time too, everything i needed was there, it wasn't overly filled with gimmicks and new stuff, but it also wasn't too missing with important stuff, it was perfect.
Omg same!!! Redstones took so long to get added people has to install redstone mods. When they were finally added though, they didn’t include repeaters so people even came up with manual repeaters. Btw i miss LifeBoat so much!!! Everyday i couldn’t wait to come back home from school just to play on LifeBoat 😅
man this video bring me back to when i was a kid playing mcpe in my old ipad 1. Playing lifeboat hunger games with the old UI was such a nostalgic moment. Man i miss old minecraft.
I started minecraft pocket edition when it was minecraft lte and I started on version 0.4 and boy was 11 year old me happy i still remember my first night and discovering how to eat food when all u had to do was hold down on the screen lol
I started in 0.3 the nostalgia is so amazing. I remember there was a real Infinite diamond glitch in one of the versions where when you hold the hotbar of your diamonds or any item thats numbered and when u would collect it it would double the amount you threw.
Played the lite version before I got the full one. Kicked ass, kids now will never know the feeling of making a house in a mountain to hide from a zombie horde all while playing on your iPad mini
Been playing since 0.10 on my iPad Air 1. I remember when the Nether was added and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. Runs horribly now on 1.19 so I've stopped updating it but I still have it after all this time.
It's nice to see the evolution of the game today. I started to play the MCPE in the 0.11 in 2015 when I was 10, and see everything from the 0.1 to the 1.1 is so good.
Glad you enjoyed the video!❤️ I got the versions from this website: mcpedl.org/downloading/ Overall all the versions that I tried seemed safe but I would just like to warn you that some versions may or may not be unsafe. Also these versions only work on Android and may or may not download if you have a newer version of Android.
MCPE is an awesome version to start the game off with. It was portable and cheaper compared to the other versions. It also received a ton of updates constantly.
I remember the very first version of MCPE. My stepdad bought it for me on my phone. I remember wanting to play online and made a multilayer world, at the time I didn't know what "local multilayer" is supposed to mean, so I thought that a random person will just join me at some point. It was very eerie, me just walking around, building stuff and every once in a while I would think that I can hear footsteps on grass somewhere in the distance, but nobody was there.
Broo, I remember playing pocket edition alot back then, ive had it ever since 0.6.0. Back when worlds were limited and before the nether was added. I have an old world with a bunch of old nether reactor towers, man that was so unique at the time. Also discovered that the old limited worlds had this thing where you could just build up to the world limit and you can just walk out of your world lol. ALSO, I played minecraft LITE alot before I got the main game. The MC LITE app is still on my phone but I cant play it because its not on the app store anymore but I keep it on my phone just as a nostalgia thing.
Oh boy, I remember how hyped I was for 0.9 back when I was a child, and I can still see why, that was such a huge step towards getting this version close to the others, it was crazy living with limited worlds, no caves, 3 biomes in total, no villages...

Dident really have a pc back then so I had to resort to Minecraft PE and honestly that version of the game holds a special place in my heart played countless hours with my cousins. most memorable is the duplication glitches that were to op 😂
I remember when Pocket Edition used to have a bug where any map that had lava in it was gradually consumed by an invisible fire. It was honestly pretty cool, like trying to run out the end of the world.
I started playing pocket Edition before infinite world gen was a thing. I remember waiting impatiently for new wooden doors to come out (I was bored of oak doors)
i remember in 2011 getting pocket edition on my ipod touch and i was a kid, a lot of nostalgia there for me. i remember being somewhat scared of the intense fog, liminal lonely feeling and i was coming up with the idea that there may be monsters out in the world so i would build high up and traverse the mountains to avoid "them". i had no clue if monsters where in the game or not (there wasnt), there wasnt much known about the game back in 2011 and being only like 11 years old i wasnt researching everything like people do today.
It's remembering me while I'm playing for the first time Minecraft in my life in version 0.14. That time I was six and I'm played it on my dad phone, and let me having fun with my own creativity. What a beautiful memories.
I used to get the cracked versions all the time until I finally bought the game since it was getting really annoying to constantly download a new version to update and I had to keep avoiding viruses. Glad to see that you enjoyed the video!♥️

Nice vid dude keep it up!
Thanks!
I remember hunger games being very popular in the alpha edition days.
Lifeboat was on top back then, there was only Hunger Games until like 2014 I think, then a russian Server started a Bedwars Server
I still remember Pocket Edition Light. Limited number of blocks, small world and no way to save your progress, yet many of my best memories in connection with this game come from that time when I was playing this version :D
MCPE Lite was awesome!!
Wow! I thought you’d be really popular I’m sure you’ve seen or gotten tons of comments like this but u deserve 100k
Thank you for the love and support! Maybe we will get there someday. It is comments like these that allow me to push forward and put as much quality and effort as I can into videos. ♥️♥️
You need more attention your channel is really good 👍👍👍
Thank you! We are glad you enjoy our content, we put a lot of effort into making our videos!❤️
I remember this as the first version of Minecraft I played as a kid at 6-7 years old in 2014. Ah, those were the good days..
I actually remember playing this like man this gives me nostalgia
I remember playing this on my KINDLE FIRE. I remember the app crashing and seeing it was updated to version 0.8 and was thrilled that they added rails and minecarts. The memories will live forever in my mind.
I used to play on my kindle fire too 😭😭 I used to have dreams about 0.8 because I was so excited for it to come out… good times lol
Sorry if I confused you.
@@rivelbop No, you didn't confuse me. But I guess you confirmed my thought up there.
12:14 this is the version where i spent most of my childhood with. but for some reason,
The version i remember had a menu was slightly different, there were no pistons and nametags at all, leashes and saddles were only obtainable through the nether fortresses, and saddles being useless
I'm not sure if the horses and donkeys were in it but that's all i can remember
i still have no idea how, but in really really old mcpe i was mining a tree and it dropped a crafting table, i had zero idea how to craft or what crafting was up until that point, and it completely opened up the game for me
Version 1.1 was the biggest part of my childhood, why? It had the old textures (most notably the water), old villages, and everything before the 1.13 update (aquatic update)
I remember when I first tried playing minecraft, I didn't know how to do it so I just made holes all over the soil, hopin no mobs will attack me, I remember the inability to do it in a desert since sand will fall, and if I spawn in a village I will just stay in a house for a long time so I don't get attacked, but when I found out abt Creative mode, I just float around the entire world, and when I saw a video of a village being blown up, I decided to imitate that action and keep blowing up villages, ah, the good old days
after 4 months , One of the best videos so far.
Thank you! ❤️
I remember playing Pocket Edition since it first came out. This is bringing back memories.
I think 0.9 was the first version I played of Minecraft I remember my first house made from clay, now I mostly play Java edition
I love this video. You made me feel young again. These where good old high school days lol
Glad I could bring you back!
I remember back in 2012 i played a cracked version of mcpe version 0.3 with my brother. Good ol time
I did the same.
That can be (thankfully) changed in the setting tho
Well if theres a setting for that, I can't find it.
And I'll tell you, I searched through every, and I mean *EVERY* settings tab to try to disable it, and I could not find it.
And I'm pretty sure that's because I'm playing Minecraft on a tablet and not a pc...
@@ElectricoGamez i play bedrock on mobile as well, there is a setting for it although I don't remember where it is
Man Minecraft V 0.8 was the my real experience with Minecraft, pocket edition was the first edition I ever played.
I still miss roses 🌹. I even miss the old stonecutter but the new one is good.
I remember playing on that one seed that had diamonds right below spawn. It was such an amazing feeling getting down there as soon as possible to grab them.
I think it was “404” or something like that
it was 0.4.0
I remember a survival world I had. I went to the border limit and had a huge mine that went against the border, so when the sun went down the sunset looked beautiful
Awesome video! You did a great job covering everything! I would love to see much more content posted on this channel!
Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed! We have various videos planned that you will hopefully enjoy!
No he didn't he did terribly
@@Nothim19994 Hey, I would like to know your reason on why you believe the video was explained poorly. I like to look into how I can improve in the future.
Because I hate you cause you're dumb
0.8 and 0.12 was MY peak of minecraft, i started playing that time too, everything i needed was there, it wasn't overly filled with gimmicks and new stuff, but it also wasn't too missing with important stuff, it was perfect.
i remember being so excited waiting for each update so that the PE version catched up to the java version
Very well edited and informative! I’m subbing!
0.13.0 was my childhood
I started in 0.3 the nostalgia is so amazing. I remember there was a real Infinite diamond glitch in one of the versions where when you hold the hotbar of your diamonds or any item thats numbered and when u would collect it it would double the amount you threw.
Yes!!! And there was a duplication glitch where if you and someone else went multiplayer and took diamonds out of a chest at the
same time!
( 1:06 ) *Terraria Music!!* 😂
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I love your content you're underrated asl respect
Knowing I’ve been playing this game since I was 4 is wild, and I’m almost 17.
*i still remember to my class mate playing phones in minecraft edition. that time preiod was 2014... god good times. :-')
how did you get the old Minecraft Pocket Edition versions???
good video to love to see more!
Glad you enjoyed the video!❤️
I got the versions from this website: mcpedl.org/downloading/ Overall all the versions that I tried seemed safe but I would just like to warn you that some versions may or may not be unsafe. Also these versions only work on Android and may or may not download if you have a newer version of Android.
thanks@@rivelbop
The hype for the Nether Reactor was unreal. So glad I was a kid during all this.
the first version was literally the first minecraft I've ever experienced..well thanks to my friend for introducing it to me lel
MCPE is an awesome version to start the game off with. It was portable and cheaper compared to the other versions. It also received a ton of updates constantly.
As a long time PE player, this brought back a wave of nostalgia! Thank you.
Glad I could let you relive at least a few of your memories!
Bro I remember this I especially remember how excited me and my friends got when we made the nether reactor core
just happened to stumble on ur video because I wanted to catch up to MCPE's evolution, nice voice! ❤
Thank you!
Best video ever love it! ❤
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
I remember first buying mcpe on 0.8 man those were the days of my childhood
I remember the very first version of MCPE. My stepdad bought it for me on my phone.
I remember wanting to play online and made a multilayer world, at the time I didn't know what "local multilayer" is supposed to mean, so I thought that a random person will just join me at some point. It was very eerie, me just walking around, building stuff and every once in a while I would think that I can hear footsteps on grass somewhere in the distance, but nobody was there.
Bro you should have like a million subs your production and information quality is too good to be true🎉😊
Thank you very much!❤️
Broo, I remember playing pocket edition alot back then, ive had it ever since 0.6.0.
Unfortunately my old Minecraft worlds are long gone which is a shame, I miss them
thanks for the video bro, your content is amazing
random fact: in the early alpha versions of minecraft pe, you can use an xray glitch using 3rd person on the world border
I remember when the first major update came to pocket edition we all lost our minds.
2:16 for just a split second, you sounded like Emperor Kuzco (David Spade)
This makes me feel old, I remember playing pocket edition on the IPod 4 when that all released when I was in primary school.
In 2010-2013.
The Pocket Edition was my first mobile game that's fantastic game that Minecraft in Mobile I still miss nether reactor core...
I bassicly grew up Minecraft PE and it being released on August 16 which is my Birthday is just awesome
Very nice video I really enjoy the content for 3 reasons i loved the most was The edit,Quality,And The topic you were talking about keep it going dont give up, Lets Go for that 1k❤❤🎉🎉
NEW SUBSCRIBER 🎉🎉🎉❤❤
Thank you so much for the wonderful comment! ❤️❤️
I remember sitting in the doctors office begging my mom to get Minecraft in my phone I miss those tomes😢😢😢
I dont know in which Version i started, but i know it was before 0.13 because oh boy, the redstone Update was a banger back then!
It's remembering me while I'm playing for the first time Minecraft in my life in version 0.14. That time I was six and I'm played it on my dad phone, and let me having fun with my own creativity. What a beautiful memories.
Man I remember the shenanigans me and my causins did back then both in demo and cracked versions. Its nice to see the evolution.
I used to get the cracked versions all the time until I finally bought the game since it was getting really annoying to constantly download a new version to update and I had to keep avoiding viruses. Glad to see that you enjoyed the video!♥️
