Its great to see a video from someone else who rides sitting down. I'm 73, and standing is no longer an option. Neat bike. enjoy it. I run the stock gearing on my '21 KTM 300. I have a TSP head, but stock ECU. I had it re-sprung and dampening adjusted for my weight, since I weigh a lot more than the ideal rider.
Wow Pat your a Machine that's great. Yep totally agree if your out riding no matter sitting or standing that's great. Stock gearing is ok and very forgiving but it's a bit tall in first gear so I usually run a few more teeth in the rear. Cheer 👍🙏💪

Yet to ride one of the new TBI KTM breed bikes but I love the feeling sitting on the Husky TE300 over the GasGas EC300 and the KTM EXC300. I been running TBI on my 21 GasGas EC300 since it was 10 hours old and love it. Thanks for reviewing the new 2025 model for us all.

I’m old and slow running the ‘24 TE300. Mods are springs for my weight. I’m 230lbs geared up. 13/47 sprockets and TSP tune, tubeless with X31 front and VE33s rear . No burble with the tune. Very happy with my bike.
That's great, close to the same set-up. Did springs change how the bike felt or height at all? Did it remain comfortable or stiffen it up etc. Thanks 👍👍
@@HardUNduro swapped springs as soon as I got it home so can’t say but the suspension is definitely not stiff. Easy to set sag to factory spec. No complaints with suspension at all.
Kool video, good to relate to. I personally just picked up the 23 Heritage TE300. Put 40 mins on it last weekend at mates property here in SA n what weapons. 67kg n full arm socket tearing machines. I come from 2T 80s to now the future n im so impressed on the tech rolling on these mud machines.💪🏼 I looked a lot into this whole TBI / TPI debate n honestly im on the fence with it all, ilike the classic explosive burst of powerband n TPI is similar feel to carbs with simply put smoother up n down fuel delivery, no DANGDANGDANG cluncking like my 09 husky wr300 i had 5yr ago. All in all ,👌🏼. Ohh braketec i felt at feather Weight not bad, no bite of a brembo but not bad. Cheers guys, nice luggabilty in those conditions. 🤜🏼🇦🇺💙🇸🇪🤛🏼
Totally agree 👍 . Honestly they are all amazing and as long as we're all out riding that's what matters. Every bike is tunable and can be made to ride how you like (balls out power band haha). We would love to see what the riding is like over there in SA. good tracks? Legend thanks. 👍👍👍💪🙏
@@HardUNduro hope this helps, I did mod based on manufacturing a 50mm lowering link so can't recommend a specific brand. There are 2 lowering link kit options #1 fixed size and #2 adjustable. Option #1 is 2 x sizes 25mm and 50mm. #2 is adjustable from 25mm to 50mm.
@@ashwillmot2051yes you'd need to test it for yourself to see because the theory is wrong, it is only a tiny percentage of rake angle change, and you can lower forks, so overall alignment level of bike is the same
I’ve got over 200 hours on my 2024 TE 300 in hard enduro use. It’s the best 300 of the 5 new ones I’ve purchased. It’s also has the lowest stock seat height. I’m happy to see the Brembo brakes on the 2025 model. The Braketec’s weren’t bad, but Brembo is better.

@@HardUNduro Yes, in my plans to change 13/52 for 13/47, I have a race on Saturday, considering the terrain (wet forest, quarries and slopes with loose sand) 13/52 is what I need - it climbs steep slopes well (my weight is 100 kg) - but after it I plan to change the rear sprocket to a smaller size - otherwise there is a jerk from 1st to 3rd gear, and no speed. By the way, in our local Husky owners' chat there is an opinion that the 2024 version is very raw (there are problems with the starter, the start button works unstable) - so hopes for 2025, and that the manufacturer has fixed everything. That's why I watched your video carefully and will continue watching the channel)

Same ol sheeit different year. Pay 13k for a bike ya gotta dump another 1200 on for a TSP kit and reflash to get it to run correctly. Gimme a carbureted Sherco any day of the week. Easy to jet, comes with all brembo as well but also comes with KYB, fan kit, gnarly pipe, solid exhaust, Axp skid plate. Will run like a top for years and you don’t have all the FI garbage to deal either.

It required a TSP head, Refresh, ERM to refresh it when needed, Injector relocation kit, air screw mod, oil injection delete, etc. etc. and it is finally where it needs to be. But it still doesn't feel as good as a carb 300 IMO! I dunno I just wish they would sell a bike that is actually ready to go out the box for what ya pay for. Glad I'm not the only one feeling this way. But ya gotta respect the amount of effort they are putting into 2 strokes at the same time...
I have a 20 KTM 300 XCW. I like to imagine panic revs are impossible They aren't, but I like how it goes where I want. Violent is probably the right word for it, but it's loads of fun a lot of the time. AS for the new TE, it seems like it likes to stall a bit. I'd definitely be curious to hear about the supposed idle fowling problem. I've warmed up my KTM by idling it and haven't had an issue after a little bit of pipe wringing, but I've heard tales of 24's fowling plugs after 2 minutes of idle. Please, keep us up to date on that. Upon two minutes of reading, panic rev is NOT the term for what I'm trying to describe, as I don't jump, but you probably know what I mean, giving a sharp splash of power to avert laying the bike down when you dive into a turn.
I've heard similar. I had a 20 xcw with tsp head and map and it was definitely more violent. So far no fouling issues and I idle warm up for at least 3 minutes. Its extremely hard to stall and havent had many issue other than human error. Will do a longer term review at some stage. Cheers
The plugs fowling in 23 were from XC models equivalent to the TX Husky. It was mainly from guys idling for too long at cold start. KTM put out a different map and that has been taken care of. Cheers!
Yeah they have done some great videos with the 24. The Brembo package is the big upgrade this year. The clutch is really nice in this test and the brakes were great! Thanks for watching.
Totally agree. We've had a few tpi and know many that also do and zero issues. Like all things there will be some issue. I have to say i love the TBI way more over my TPI. Cheer legend.
I think most woods riders would like it better if the seat was 3” lower and the wheelbase 5” shorter. And, lighter suspension. And, 2” narrower bars. People don’t need to jump 100’ gaps.
Perfectly said. Always spending big to lower. I looked at the 24 & 25 and I'm not even close to touching ground. Wife grounds perfect and rubs it in. Too make it worse she doesn't want one but claimed my 40th 500 ninja 😂. I'm going dealership now and going to ask what we can do
Here's a vote for the x trainer- as it comes its the ultimate bike to have in the hardest of enduro. But say you want it less controlled linear power so you can rip wheelie'd hole shots in third? Buy the fatty pipe for it and you're there. Find the terrain isn't hard enough so you're speed makes you want more suspension for jumps and whoops? KYB fork it. You can always make the Xtrainer into a high speed weapon(basically a 7/8th size but equal power replica of a beta 300RR,) while you can't change those bikes into the easiest to use hard enduro dirtbike in the world because you can't make those bikes have smaller frames and you wouldn't put trials suspension on those bikes.
@@sonnyrico it's a hard choice to make. @nbcevilduck makes some very good points. We have a "pimped Xtrainer" video which highlights all that he recommends. As the shorter rider in Hard Unduro I still love the Xtrainer for its compact nature but Furz at 5'11 is more inclined to succeed on the TE300. We will however be putting a lowering link on it regardless so will have some feedback on what that did to the geometry soon! We should also have an Xpro video in the coming months.
@@HardUNduro Are sure? I as far as I can tell its just the xc bikes are getting the frame stiffness updates - and the enduro bikes remained the same for 25 - at least thats what the ktm/husq websites seem to suggest - If you know for sure yours is different to the 24 let me know and thanks!
The husky website isn't the best and filled with mistakes. The salesman also told me there was some minor changes but I'm no expert. A heap of other written reviews also talk about changes to the subframe. Would I notice? Probably not. CHeers

im going to local Husqvarna dealership now (Matt Jones) and see what the go is on what I was told last week ($70k this fortnight on 40th anniversary bikes so REALLY bad timing for the 300 but money isn't an issue sort of lol)

Yep the Xtrainer is a great bike. Almost sad I sold my 24 xtrainer. Lucky the new bikes a highly tunable with the tsp erm ,soft hard etc. Future video with showcase the erm. Cheers

Lowering link is the best mod for weight distribution, way better feel, nimble steering, lower centre of gravity.

This makes no sense. It should be less nimble. It rakes the forks out more when you lower the back.

You will love it. I'm 100% loving the 13/47 and wouldn't change it. I used to run 13/52 on my 2020 ktm but now that would be too twitchy.

It would be interesting to weigh the Husky vs the Xtrainer.
A way to weight the bikes would be nice. At this stage we don't have the means but if we do bikes will definitely be weighed.

Also my dealer saying 1mth warranty. I thought being a dual sport (buying with road reg) it should have a 6mth warranty. Any information appreciated
I believe it's 3 months (or 6) if you get your first service done at the dealer. Also may vary greatly from country to country.

No, basically just tried to start to soon before bendix could reseat. Happened rarely on all my last 3 ktm bikes. Cheers.

For a rider at your level I would say an Xtrainer is better. Once you graduate this Husky would be perfect...maybin in a year or two.
