- Wrestling fans are crazy, but sometimes, they're TOO crazy. Sure you've got your sign wielders, your front-rowers, but then there are the overly dedicated few who take things WAY too seriously. I'm Adam, and these are 10 wrestlers who were almost killed by fans.

you’ll never find someone who hates wresting more than a wrestling fan is probably the most factual thing i’ve ever heard in my entire life
Absolutely 💯 percent correct
Totally agree
Half of whatculture at this point
@@Zack_410 more like everyone
Indeed
That story of Harley Race coming to the aid of a woman getting slap, he just earned even more respect points from me. 😉
Same
and then he got stabbed for it, so lesson of the story is just mind your own business XD
@@greenderp nah the lesson is don’t be a coward and stick up for those who can’t defend themselves.
So young too. A hero. ✊
@@alexschofield944 theres “I hit my girlfriend” all over that comment
Blackjack Mulligan wasn’t just “stabbed in the leg.” The person cut upwards on his entire leg, calf up to hip, lengthwise until it split open while he was laying sideways on the apron.
Omg
Dam that is crazy poor guy
“I’m trusting you on this one, Rich,” getting paired with Adam’s head on Bastion Booger’s body is hilarious.
“Don’t worry Adam. I won’t do anything… to them.”
I'm glad I'm not the only one who massively appreciated that.
Don't forget about my man Classy Freddy Blassie. He's had his moments. Being stabbed 21 times, having acid thrown at his face, and etc... He was never at peace because he always had death threats thrown at him. At least he is in peace now. RIP you legend
He made it through breakfast with Andy Kaufman.
@@dr.snakes think I'd rather be stabbed lol
Went out like a boss, telling D-Von to get the tables
I remember a story I read somewhere of the Classy one. After one of the times he got stabbed (and wasn't that badly wounded) the 70-something year old stabber got off with a fine he told the judge "if I knew it was this cheap I'd have stabbed him a second time". Oh the good old days.
Somehow classy freddie blassie reminds me of Donald Trump when he was Predidentn
One problem with this list - Blackjack Mulligan was not IRS’s father. He was Barry Windham’s father. The bit about his being Bray Wyatt’s and Bo Dallas’s grandfather is accurate, however, as IRS married Mulligan’s daughter.
So you're saying that Mulligan was IRS's father-in-law
The wording there threw me off a bit too lol
Juan Gomez Read the book WWE Legends, or just about any source, and it will tell you that Blackjack Mulligan’s real name was Robert Windham. And yes, he was the father-in-law of Mike Rotunda, aka Irwin R. Schyster, but not his blood relative, as Rotunda married Mulligan’s daughter. Mulligan does have a son who wrestles and one who used to wrestle, but it’s Barry Windham and Kendall Windham, not Mike Rotunda.
So Father-in-law…right…got it….semantics.
@@BigWoody823 Yea, semantics. Cause "Father" and "Father in-law" are the exact same thing, and should just be used interchangeably. 🤦
Sabu living up to the suicidal part by fighting the Yakuza.
I would pay so much money to play a ECW vs Yakuza beat em up game
Considering Sabu taped his muscle back after it was ripped off by barbed wire, breaking a chair over his head was nothing
Believe or not, according to Sabu himself on Dark Side of the Ring, Mike Awesome came to his rescue and helped him drive off the Yakuza members
@@KnightlyNerdandDork...i so desperately want to see a movie of Sabu and Mike Awesome in Japan with a fuckin brawl between the two of them and a bunch of Yakuza... Man I miss Mike Awesome.
I am an wrestling manager in the Southeastern US, and was hit in the head with a brick that was hidden in a purse, by a 70 year old grandma in Carrollton, GA at Universal Independent Wrestling in 2013. Also, had to fight way to the back at PeachState Wrestling Alliance after a "WarGames" type match years ago. Fans are crazy and passionate
I’d love to interview you for my podcast sometime then I’m sure you have some great stories
@@AWorldofKayos thank you. I am always up for podcasts. My social media is the same on all platforms
@@WickedNemesis you get a bag from any lawsuits or you kayfabed it up and took that brick like a champion ?
not bad either way i’m honestly just wondering kinda seems like a troll question
@@ColbyP16 i actually couldn't believe it. I screamed at her "sit down and write me another Psalm Methuselah". Security escorted her out, right after that.
@@WickedNemesis especially in 2013 what granny cares that much about wrestling especially indie shows (no hate but i wouldnt expect granny’s to be in tune with the indies) 😂 but that’s crazy you violated by hitting her with that
If MJF is wrestling during 1970s to 90s he definitely get stab cause how good a heel he is
he'd probably be dead😂
MJF would be burned at the steak if he was wrestling during territory days
MJF is so good he would have been car bombed while being shot.
MJF would be dead if this was the 70s
MJF would've been a manager in the 70's due to his lack of size. He's barely 200lbs. There wouldn't have been a promoter who would've signed him as a wrestler at that size.
I recall a fan trying to attack Linda on Raw back in 2000, Trips jumped on him on the ramp just before Linda introduced Foley
Trips was always good to his coworkers in THAT way...
Yep triple h moved so fast he made that fan regret it
Stone Cold tells a pretty good story about how after a fan jumped in the ring after he (StoneCold) had lost to Triple H...and the fan was goin after one of them...(may have been StoneCold won...dont remember) either way the fan charged the ring...and Austin said he had his back turned but when he turned around Triple H had speared some guy and laid the boots to him...also told the story youre talkin bout with Linda...its on the Broken Skull Sessions
@@garyblackburn3080 it’s actually on here if you search it even Mike Choida gets involved
@@DrDM87 really cool. Thanks. I think Mike did a shoot talking bout it too maybe.
I hear so many of these stories on the multiple pod casts I listen to, they always fascinate me, ty for putting your awesome twist on some of these Adam great work.
i bet i already know which podcast it is too 😂
I love how up to date this list is. Pyro list after Exploding Death Match. Now this after Seth get attacked.
I'm sorry, can we all appreciate Junkyard Dog for being unsure if Kayfabe or Stopping A Man From Being Shot is more important?
"you won't find anybody that hates wrestling more than wrestling fans"
you need to talk to more MMA fans, Adam/whoever wrote this script
Wrestling fans hate Wrestling more we actually religiously watch the product mma fans just complain that it's not real
@@theoutsiderjess4869 talk to them
MMA fans: yeah, that fighter is good, they're undefeated rn
Also MMA fans: THEY LOST ONE FIGHT. THEY'RE TRASH AND ALWAYS HAVE BEEN AND I ALWAYS SAID THAT AND THEY ARE BAD, BAD, STOOOPID, BAD.
@@lostalone9320 Yeah both fandoms are toxic as hell. Neck beards vs Guys who wear tanning cream and glittery shirts.
As a wrestling and MMA fan, can confirm
Seth Rollins handled things like a champ like he actually is.
The fan's "spear" was legit though.
@@frankunodostres473 ?
@@frankunodostres473 he is a heel that is exactly what he should have done hell I doubt anyone would blame if he socked him after the fact
The part where he could have seriously hurt that guy and Becky could have done worse being The Man in the relationship yet also held back is amazing.
@@frankunodostres473 He was keeping himself from further injury, that's professional.
Yea I wonder if the fan ever thought about becoming a wrestler or did in high-school Lol
Kind of disturbing that you could probably easily make many 10 lists about this topic
yeah it is, and fun fact most of the stories would be from the 50's - very early 90's when a lot of fans did not know what Kayfabe was, and honest to GOD thought it was all 100% real, and legit.
Once upon a time a young Nikolai Volkoff cheated behind the refs back, he won because of this. My grandmother yelled at the ref to do something but it fell on deaf ears. Knowing that she was the ONLY person who could fix this situation my grandmother jumped the barricade and started hitting Nikolai with her purse.
Dang. Cool grandma you have.
Cena at One Night Stand against RVD. Imagine what would’ve happened to him if he’d won that match…..
I mean it's WWE's fault for overpushing Cena and it would've also been the fan's fault for committing murder. We get it, ECW has rabid crowds but crowds can go to far at times. Vader beating Inoki is just one example that happened in NJPW that caused a riot which could've happened there too.
I don't know why, but there's small part of me that wishes cena won that match just to see how the fans would've reacted lol.
If john cena actually won that match we truly wouldne have been able to see him
@@wakeuplucki nah we would actually see him in multiple pieces in multiple places at once.
Nah those ECW smarks were nothing but neck bearded pussies thinking they were being cool for liking ECW. If that was a NJPW crowd however there’d be reason for concern, as someone else pointed out by alluding to their reaction to Vader beating Inoki. That’s why NJPW crowds will always be more dangerous and scary than WWE (and specifically ECW) crowds, unlike their American counterparts, NJPW crowds don’t threaten to riot, they just riot. That crowd at ECW One Night Stand 2006 would have done nothing but boo and jeer and hiss even more than they already were.
I just want to say, obviously super late but hopefully still better than never, that I'm glad to see you back speaking on wrestling in the public eye, Adam. You're the best man.
I’m glad wrestling is exposed as a work because imagine if it wasn’t and wrestlers were still almost murdered to this day.
No wrestling shouldn't have got exposed as work
People always knew it was a work, you can find articles from the 1930's about it all being fake. Total myth that most people in the 70's and 80's believed it was real, just a few nutcases that can't tell fiction from reality.
I have to agree with Jam Dev here. A lot of people knew back then that wrestling was fake but took it very seriously. My grandfather who watched wrestling shows back when he was in his teens (This is roughly 65 years ago or so) knew it was fake and so did the audience. It just really depended on the territory you were in. There were just a lot of nutcases back then that could have an easier time getting away with things.
By the number of times wrestlers or companies have been compelled to apologize for kayfabe stuff they've done, I'd say some people haven't caught on yet.
Hot damn angry fans, you scary!
Prime examples of taking things a bit too seriously. It'svery fortunate that all the wrestlers and managers on this list lived to the ages they currently are if still alive, or were at death.
I think after that recent incident with Seth on raw, I think we all knew this list was coming...still a good list, though ❤
thank GOD you got some of the ole school actions in this list. big fan of this list. really impressive you got the Black Jack Mulligan incident in this list. much love!
"You won't find anyone who hates wrestling more than a wrestling fan"
It's funny because it's true.
I remember where one day I heard about that Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley) almost got stabbed by a fan but security got the fan and Dean was one inch away from getting stabbed
So nobody is going to mention the story of Freddie Blassie having acid thrown on his back?
Jake once had a story where a older lady cut his chest wide open because her grandkids told her she won’t do anything if she seen jake!
Seeing Adam's face on Bastion Booger's body is now something we can never unsee... Thanks partsFUNknown!!
You Forgot Mexico's El Cavernario Galindo, guy incited RIOTS in his matches people that wanted to lynch him, AND HE FOUGHT THEM OFF IN THE RING BEFORE MAKING HIS ESCAPE. His own opponents like Gory Gerrero wanted to kill him too, he had matches against him that turned in to real Street fights.
cavernario galindo's best story to me is that time he wrestled murcielago velazquez and cavernario took his pet snake (similar act to jake the snake roberts) and then he killed the snake biting it and turning into pieces
Not first, but sending some love from the Philippines Adam!
I'm surprised that knife didn't get scared before it made it into Harley Race...
It's Sunday, an we get an Adam video 💪🏽🔥
Bobby Heenan is absolutely hands down the best manager of all time. With corney and jimmy hart following closely behind
Bastion Blampied is a solid gag, ngl.
> Fan: [attacks Seth Rollins]
> Chavo Guerrero: "Haha, remember when wrestlers were tough?"
Me: "Alright not-Eddie, let's see you have a go at it."
Ha! "Not Eddie"....thats so true. But bein Eddies nephew has got him multiple jobs in almost ALL thr major promotions...and they sure do love reminding us that Eddie was his uncle...
A guy tried to kidnap Sonya Deville last year. He confronted her with a knife in one hand and a can of mace in the other when she went to the back door of her home to check on the alarm he had activated. A near death experience, as she’s a MMA fighter and if you saw him he wouldn’t have had a chance.
Legitimately, who would want to go back to this time?
Da Undertaka
Another Adam video? Automatic thumbs up.
man sometimes wrestling sounds like a real life game of thrones for me 😂😂😂
That Adam/Bastion booger pic is gold
cant wait to watch this
I need more Bastion Adam!! 🤣🤣🤣
Jesse Ventura told a story, it's on the Rosenberg Radio UA-cam channel: one night, after his match, he was being escorted back to the locker room by a couple of cops when a riot broke out near the ring. Ventura told the cops to go and take care of it as he didn't have far to go. After the cops left, someone jumped down from the bleachers and pulled a knife. The only thing that saved Ventura was an off-duty cop who was also nearby, who grabbed the would-be assailant and cuffed him.
Fun business, ain't it?
5:08 "And also it was your bubblegum, and he stole it!"
List Suggestion:
10 Wrestling Incidents That Almost Happened
(Example: Rollins almost being impaled by cage, Foley/Taker almost breaking the cell roof immediately from their weight, etc.)
Harley Race, true BAMF.
The Sabu gimmick infringement line is genius.
Had to rewatch the video because I forgot to like and subscribe
After mjf punk on dynamite, please do a list of the best promo battles.
Now I get why Undertaker had to carry guns and knives in his case
I’m surprised the fan who attacked Bret Hart at the Hall of Fame ceremony a couple years ago isn’t on this list.
Well that asshole just attacked Bret, but wasn't with anything too lethal like a knife or pistol. I believe he didn't do it for any lethal intention either.
"Gonna punch you in the face like I was Harley Race" is a lyric that does not get as much love as it should!
unrelated, but can we get a top 500 list of the nicknames given to Taker?
Since his days at WC I really want a super cut of all the Taker and Vince nice names 😂
The Darby Allen tackle on Dynamite was a great troll job to WWE and the fan that attacked Seth Rollins
Can you do 10 best stories told in a match? You know, like Cody vs Dustin. I´d love to rewatch some matches like that.
A new day a new list :)
Blackjack Mulligan wasn't the dad of IRS (Mike Rotunda), he was the dad of Barry Windham. Technically he's Rotunda's father-in-law as Mike married into the family (I think while he and Barry were a team in the 80s, but I'm not sure). I think your writer copy and pasted the wrong google result.
Awesome seeing Corny get some recognition!
4:41 No. NO.
Blackjack Mulligan was the FATHER-IN-LAW of IRS, aka Mike Rotunda, the latter having married Mulligan's daughter Stephanie Windham (sister to wrestlers Barry & Kendall). Blampied at least got Mulligan's grandchildren right.
Jim Cornette is a spitting image of my dad. It's unreal how similar they look.
The Blackjack Mulligan incident - I'm from Massachusetts, can confirm - fans here are more than a little insane.
I'm currently watching this and I am wondering how the hell do you go from a fan that got so outraged, he fired a gun at Bobby Heanen and we're only at #10? I'm in for a ride, aren't I?
Edit: .....In the famous words of Zandig, JEEEEEEEEZUS! O_O
I love how no one question why the fan was allowed to have the gun in the arena, because it was the 70s.
Adam you got one fact wrong, Blackjack Mulligan was the father in law of IRS
2:40 Thank God there was no bicycle racks nearby
or Majima
I would like to know what happened to the "fans" afterwards, in a list form please 😅
Wrestling fans sure love their knives 🙃
That fan's spear was legit though, that guy did his research, bro.
And that fan’s sadly has a better than Edge spear.
Did his research on how to do a Spear, but sadly not enough research on how to avoid an obvious scam apprantly
“Nobody hates wrestling more than wrestling fans” I mean, you’re not wrong.
No Freddie Blassie? They say that he got stabbed by fans 21 times during his wrestling career. People sure took wrestling too seriously back then and believed in anything.
Another Adam video, another shameless joke at the expense of Edge's spear.
Have you no fear Adam?
Edge will cuddle you to the ground at 1mph if you keep up.
I've heard the Freebirds/JYD storyline loads of times but it still blows me away. Imagine being JYD in that situation - WTF do you do?
Kill the territory or kill the Michael Hayes, it's a tough question
Should've had an honourable mention for 'Classy' Freddy Blassie who's car got set on fire during a show, and was sent a bullet with his initials on it.....just without doing more research lol
When Jake The Snake was on Joe Rogan show he told a story about a Grandmother who was kinda dared by her grandchildren to beat up jake the snake but she stabbed her with a box cutter
Not a bad list. Surprised nothing about Freddie Blassie’s many brushes with crazy fans were mentioned.
Warns us about graphic content, then proceeds to photoshop himself onto Bastion Booger😎😎😎
Adam: Fans are still mad that Seth Rollins is the reason the shield imploded.
The one that comes to mind, although I'm doubting it was a fan, was Wade Barrett. He got stabbed after either a wrestling or bare knuckle brawl, beat the attacker to a pulp and then got a taxi to the hospital.
Cornette just released the craziest story the other day about a riot in Tulsa. A guy attacked him from behind, he got in the ring and the fan got knocked bloody by the midnight. That caused a riot that got IA called on the tulsa police so the police refused to do wrestling events after that. Midnight and cornette had to Job ever appearance in tulsa after that until they left the territory so that they wouldn't risk another riot lol
What I learned: Wrestling fans love their knives...
Whoa!!! Hold up.... @3:18 the one on the right was Dominc Denucchi.......
Booger Blampied is too good of a photoshop job 🤣
Mike Awesome saving Sabu, allegedly, is the best (most awesome) part of that story.
1:32 is incomprehensible lmfao
That edge pun tho🤭🤣
He when start putting air quotes around the word fan when talking about people who attack wrestlers.
I'm subscribed already, don't kill..............................me.
*Great list!!!*
Ah! Those were the days. When wrestling was as real as it got. And if you were a Heel, you could never do better in terms of getting heat than fans trying to straight up *M.* you! YEAH!!!! Look at the Heels of today. No one trying to end them. No one willing to throw their freedom (and lives) away in order to go after a wrestler they don't like. No, not anymore! Now they just whine and complain on their favorite internet forums. Then they just go about their day. All calm and schat. 🤬
Alright Bruv, bit rude to stick that knife into me
Here I am for my weekly double dose of Blampied. 😌👌
*sees title* ah, this should be easy like Sunday morning...
funny story, one of my uncle's punched ole anderson at an nwa show in the 80's
How did you include NONE of the various incidents of Larry Zbyszko?
I am not sure if this is the first time Adam threatened to kill me if I didn't subscribe, but this is the most recent time I remember.
6:20 It's probably smart he decided to change he's name to Simon
Hot rod saying that was the closest he's ever come to seeing someone get shot carries some weight being as he claimed to have seen people get killed when he was homeless. Yikes.
How did Freddie Blassie not make it on the list?!?!?! A fan threw acid on him for Christ sake
Wrestling fans are psychopaths just some are worse then others
"Definitely DID NOT train Mass Transit" XD
To be fair, Cornette has insisted in his podcast that there are parts of the "good old days" he doesn't miss, like the attempted murders and the longer hours. But he also pointed out that one of the upsides of the old way of doing things was that it scared off people who were into it for the wrong reasons, like an Austin Aries or a Teddy Hart.
it didn't even scare off ppl who were into it for the wrong reasons, Lol. so many of the wrestlers from the "good old days" only cared about their own personal brands.
@@willnelson9906 you can say Hulk Hogan were all thinking it
@@giloguy101 and the warrior, too,
Roman, Cena............
I worked as a heel in the 80's on the indies I had guns pulled on me 2 times that I know of was told it had happened more but I didn't see it. I pissed off fan's a lot, and yes I'm proud of that. note no one ever got me.
When the lowest entry on the list involves multiple gun shots....
