I have been a Toyota 4Runner buyer for decades. I am very impressed with the luxury and styling of the Mazda CX-90. I will be buying the Mazda CX-90 Turbo S Premium Plus for 2025.
Those who continually tout Mazda vs. Toyota resale value, I believe will slowly shift in favor of Mazda. Today, Mazda is on a role while Toyota-Lexus quality continues to slip and people are noticing this so much that 2021 - 2024 Mazda sales figures have skyrocketed which I betting are previous Toyota buyers noticing Mazda more and switching brand. As a long time Toyota fan myself I see it plain as day. Also, with Toyota and Mazda collaborations increasing, the lines begin to blur between the two. Maybe soon Mazda will be perceived as middle tier right slotted between Toyota and Lexus.
Since this looks like it's a higher trim, should be touchscreen when parked, no? And you should be able to permanently enable it when connected to Apple/Android Auto. Not sure for the US trims, but that is true for the top 3 trims in Canada
I know you said the infotainment screen isn't touch screen but I know that a lot of the newer Mazda vehicles have it to where when you use the standard Mazda UX it's not touch screen but when you connect Apple CarPlay/Android Auto it becomes touch screen. Is this the case for this or is it 100% none touch?
@@pazicjr ah ok! I wasn't sure. That was one reason I was not a fan of Mazdas. Having to use the dial especially when on Android Auto/Apple CarPlay is tough in my opinion. Maybe it's just cuz I'm used to my Volvo XC90 infotainment system but yeah. I tried an older Mazda once when I rented a car a couple years ago and I did not like it haha
@@MatthewBaxter2010 I think it's done really well on the new ones. I can use the dial, which I like because I don't have to take my eyes off the road. And if there's a red light, I can quickly use the touchscreen for whatever I need, in case the dial isn't enough (rarely).
@@pazicjr I'm probably just so used to my infotainment screen that I don't really have to look that much and going to anything else really gets me haha.
I was all set to look at these until they said that this year model has insane interior road noise!!! Exactly what I am trying to get away from in my Toyota Highlander,
I just bought a CX-90 with the white interior! One day I had just bought some menudo it’s like a Mexican soup very greasy lol when I got home noticed that most of it had leaked out all over my passenger seat! I was sure that I had stained the seat didn’t think it would out. I grabbed a wet rag and prayed that it would come out. It wiped right off no stain I was very surprised! I love the white interior I’m glad it’s so easy to clean that’s one thing I was worried about also.
I love the looks of this car, but if it's like the 2024 model, the horizontal room for the driver is extremely poor. I'm 6 foot 5 300 lbs, and it's not a fat 300, but my knees are always digging into that center console. The only vehicle I found to work has been the Subaru ascent because the shifter is recess further into the car. I hate this massive center console trend so much
I thought it was a airodinamic to drop the hoods of the.cars of 10 years ago....???? Now they are up high so you can see them !!!😅 !!! MUCH MUCH BETTER!!! I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO SEE THAT....😮😅😊😊
@Onnitfan1 good:) I feel better. Ya know, Dad had an 89 B2200 manual long box with the sideways (rear) death seats. She took us all across Canada, no probs. I brought my kids across her too, in a Mazda six❤️ 2017 was a good year to buy in. Hope it's still as good.
Ben, it would be cool if you renamed the channel “Ben, Again”. It’s kind of a thing that you repeat the same phrase two times a lot e.g. “Plenty of power. Plenty of power”. People do impressions of Ed Sullivan “really big show, really big show” and you remind me of that.
Wishing for this inline-6 to be used in CX-5 reveals fundamental misunderstanding of FWD and RWD car’s architecture. You cannot just swap an inline 6 in a FWD car like CX-5, it won’t fit unless you reengineer the platform. @Ben Hardy, please do better research next time before saying stuff like this
@@nateisright also notice that that is moving an engine from one RWD layout car to another RWD car. Also the swap by Flying Miata costed upward of 60k$, plus the cost of crate engine…
The new Lexus? Lol. If Lexus hadn’t turned to shit in 2023 I would say “no”. However, with all the troubles that Toyota and Lexus are being plagued with on these new powertrains…. I would consider North American brands over them. Sad to see what Lexus and Toyota have become.
Well that will change with time. Plus low mileage CX-5 Signature models from 2024 are still in the $30k range depending on their mileage which isn't far off from the price of a Signature trim brand new in South FL based on the prices I'm seeing for that trim near me
Ben looks like he’s going to go from this review to go work on his off the grid house made from hemp.
LOL
Beautiful car love the color love the interior Mazda built a insane suv

how is head, leg and trunk room compared to honda pilot?
It's bigger than highlander, pilot, palisade, etc.

It’s good if you are looking for a mini van look
I disagree, going from an 03 grand caravan to a 24 cx90. There are trade offs with each, but exteriors are apple and oranges.
Which trim level is that.
Is it true that CX-90 does not have auto dimming mirrors ?
Depending on the trim. Higher trims get the auto dimming driver side mirror, and rearview mirror.
This package is missing some things since the wheel arches aren’t body colored.
