We got some in common lol. Cheap mixer - WT101 Daily drinker - woodford Double oaked (got it for my wedding as I was getting into whiskey. Picked from a groomsman, so it’s sentimental, also good) Friday night - Stagg Jr (one of my favorites. Constantly blinds and wins) Impress guests - Willett family estate purple top (mine is a 10yr) Special occasion - RR15 or 13 (if I don’t have a 15)
Not a fan of the Turkey with the exception being the Kentucky Spirit. I recently picked up the 70th anniversary bottle so maybe I’ll crack that on turkey day.
I am more of a cheapskate, $21 to $37 a bottle. My 4 rebuys are 100 proof Old Grand-Dad, 100 proof Early Times, 100 proof Coopers' Craft, and 90 proof Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey. For a special occasion, my wife paid for 6 tastings at J Mattingly in Frankfort, Kentucky and she bought my favorite for my 65th birthday, a $120 Open Doors bourbon at 122 proof.
Great choices. I would sub OGD bib for WT 101 as a mixer, but all else are solid.
