Crazy how different tastes work. We blinded BTAC against coy hill and rr15 over the weekend. Coy hill and RR15 were clear winners for us. And the found north 10 is insanely good. Cheers
I always love seeing Found North do well. I’ve been fortunate to get every bottle from batch 001-010, including Peregrine and Hell Diver, plus a few of their single barrel ryes. The only one I’ve missed is batch 6S. I’m working through each bottle in order. I’m currently on batch 006 which is delicisous! I’m glad to see it get some well-deserved love.
I love their stuff! Some of my favorite whiskeys I own. I really hate I missed Hell Diver. I have a review up for the new release. It doesn't even have a name yet.
@@nateap88 So far batch 6 has been my favorite, but the Sherry Finished Single Barrel Rye is great when you’re in the mood for it. To be fair, I’ve loved every one I’ve had, but it’s just a matter of to what degree.
@ I saw that! I live in a town with a few of those Museum liquor stores. For a while, you could go into those stores and get Found North bottles, even older ones, at really good prices. Then they realized how popular the brand is. They don’t have a bottle of Found North for less than $300. Some of them are priced as high as $600. Needless to say, I don’t shop there.
This was fun to watch. It's an honor having our Private Stock being one of the only non-allocated in the running against some serious hitters in this lineup. Cheers.
See....I was with you on this journey. You had earned my viewership, a fair bit of trust even. And then you said American cheese on apple pie! You threw it all in the trash and lit it on fire on your way out 😂 Great series, i enjoyed it.
Enjoyed this alot. Big fan of found north altho more a special pour then a daily drinker for me. Really need to get a pour of a willet to see the hype/price.
Yeah go for a pour first. To be honest, I am not sure I would buy them most of the time due to the price. BUT they are very good if you are willing to shell out the extra $$
Bravo, well done! Always enjoy your content like this, it was fun to see the conclusion. I'm looking forward to your final rankings list ---- I just picked up a bottle of Balcones Cataleja and am curious to see where it lands. Cheers! 🥃
Cheese on apple pie???? Is this a Az thing??? I ll try it cuz I'm adventurous with my palate, but that sounds strange. Almost as strange as a "pirate library ",😂
Bro that's a back east thing! I thought you were from NY lol. But think about it. All those little snack boxes have cheese and apples, because they go so well together.
@yourdrinkingbuddy might be an east thing but not a nyc thing. Grapes and cheese for sure. I think cheese enhances everything anyway, so I will be trying it. If you haven't tried chocolate and cheese, give it a try.
@@yourdrinkingbuddy I have a top 40 for the year. Right now it's down to GTS, RR15, Coy Hill and 13thDO. The Handy didn't make it into the final 12, finish was lacking to almost not present. Front palate great but for Btac I needed more from it.
The fact that two were found north is crazy. Also that coy hill going neck and neck with THH is awesome
As a Canadian I'm always rootin for the Found North bottles whenever they're featured on ur show.
I am a huge fan. I loved that they delivered so well blind as well.
@@jasonhofer575 have u tried Bear face?
Fantastic series. Love the way you came to find the winners.
Thanks! I had a BLAST filming it.
Cheers 🥃
Was rooting for FN10 since I own the bottle. Had a chance to buy the Handy at 399 but passed, and I am kicking myself now.
It is really solid. I think I would go up to 350... if i didnt have one. So you were probably right.
Yea! Bottles we can never get!
Keep hunting. You will find good stuff.
So sounds like the good stuff is actually the good stuff!
I love it when stuff lives up to expectations!

Coy Hill did very nearly win. And it is better than GTS and WLW this year I think.
Such a great bottle this year
Idk why this show is so relaxing to watch, great job brother!
Thank you for this!

Great list! Still working on mine, got my 33 year old Barrell juice waiting to open it, not sure of 2-6 but Seagrass wins #1 again!
Seagrass buddy for the win!!!!
Must have been fun to have those pours! Thanks for the video ~
Crrazzzy fun!
Awesome job Buddy!! Not surprised that the Handy won. Only surprise was the RR15 not making the top 3.
I picked the WFE11 over it once already, so it was cool actually to see that happen again. Means I am consistent!
Handy is my favorite too! Love love that juice. Great content!
It is soooooo good!
Great video buddy! Agree with most of your order. I love my THH from 2023! Cheers brother 🥃
Thanks Carlos. I really think THH might be my favorite whiskey.
I just bought the handy and coy hill recently 😬
Nice! Those are the top 2!
Great bottles and choices! 🥃
Thanks bud! What has been your favorite whiskey of the year?
@ RR15 and Coy Hill are in the running so far. I have not cracked open my GTS 2024. 🥃
Good stuff. Honestly shocked GTS dodnt make the finals.
@@nathanwillems7214 coy Hill just slapped it right off my bar. Wild right?
How do your prep your palate before starting these blinds? Or do you go in raw?
One small warm up pour usually. Something around 90-100 proof. Nothing crazy. Not rye or smoky. Usually something like Eagle Rare.
If I have eaten anything in the last half hour, I will drink a full glass of water and gargle with water to make sure I have all those flavors out.
@@yourdrinkingbuddy gotcha. Thank you.
Consistent! Well done buddy!
I am glad the results lined up with what i have said about these whiskeys in the past and previous blinds. Kinda cool.

Through trickery! Lol.
Cheers buddy 🥃

I think you should do the blind again in a week and add the 13th double oak and see how it turns out.
The last one?
I feel it didnt stack up against the Coy and FN in the round it made it too. Really great though.
Was enjoying the video… and then that burp … and I about choked on my lunch, lol 😂… Still enjoyed the video, though
Lol I usually cut that type of thing... but it slipped through

Rye will always win because it's so different than the others.
That is common to my palate.
