Man watching this makes me realize how bad I am at this game, although tbh I haven't played a bullet hell in years and have seen soooooo much stuff about Touhou I decided to give it a go, so maybe I just need to get my head back in the game. I feel you. My biggest vertical scrolling shooter feat was No Missing Strikers 1999 with the F-22 Raptor... on Easy Mode. I don't think I'm ready for Touhou. And I'm _certainly_ not ready for Dodonpachi or any other of those CAVE games.
@@monopurple SakuB is good if you know how the hell to use her, however, if you don't know how to use her, then she is impossible also, the only reasons to not use Sakuya are 1: horrendously fast focused speed. like, faster than Marisa's 2: you have to deal with Merlin as your prismriver opener 3: you have TERRIBLE cherry gain, meaning you get borders less often
The secret to clearing Resurrection Butterfly is to meet the red bullets head-on before the split into triples. If you stay near the vertical center of the screen, the gaps will be smaller, but you'll only have to deal with 1/3rd of the bullets. :)
Awesome job. I've seen a lot of videos of people doing crazy things on Touhou games, but the well thought-out comments make this one uniquely interesting, especially to Easy-Normal range players like me.

it's funny how marisa B is the only character I can 1cc 6/7 on. I like being really aggressive with the auto collection, and really aggressive on focusing enemies down fast, so I guess she just suits my playstyle.
for the last phase of the final boss, I find a way that you can dodge the second part of it, there are 4 small waves of it, if you dodge one of them(whatever which small wave you choose to dodge), you can just stay still and the others will just pass by you.
Just like that? I oughta try that out when I'm getting back into Touhou. Cirno day's around the corner. I should prolly do something like this on Twitch. Not sure what I'm gonna do yet
Yuuhi oh sorry, I mean if you stay still when those 4 waves come, there should be one wave that will hit you, slightly dodge that wave, and the others will go pass you

It doesn't? I would think the most common causes for that would be either not having the English patched game or not having your locale set to Japanese. Touhou games (Especially the fan games) will usually need your system's locale to be set to Japanese. Using Applocale can sometimes work too, but can be a bit more tedious at times
I mean, I'm more likely to fail or screw up because there isn't enough pressure on normal, I'm not saying I'm good, I just do slightly better on hard than on normal. (still pretty bad though)

SakuyaA is WAY better and easier. Also use easy mode, you will be able to still unlock extra stages
