- I kept my spell card history because it is an accurate representation of the amount of attempts it took me to get this, for I had no prior recorded history with this team before. Thanks for peoples help and motivation. There were certainly some times where I was heart broken; for example, on three separate occasions, I lost a perfect run to Fujiyama Volcano, Hourai Doll, and Imperishable Shooting (all spells need to be caught in order for it to be perfect). What's kind of silly, is that I knew IS would end a perfect run at least once. Thank goodness it was only once.
After capturing IS in this run, I run up the screen to give Mokou a big hug before she explodes.
How did I not die on 11:38?

Excellent work. Upon watching this I ask myself how in the hell Mokou was the first Extra boss I ever managed to beat, and not Suwako. My hope is that one day I can become this skilled. Haha, but that's a ways away.

Honest man's death is by FAR the easiest and most consistent spell in all of the extra stage. . .
You can beat it with only around 6 button presses every time.

@@circle3565 I'm very late to reply, but yes, I've figured out the trick at this point. It's not necessarily as easy as some people make it out to be for me to this day, but it's definitely much easier for me now.
you have to be on the side of mokou that the laser is coming from. you can just move through it if you move the right way,

I just cleared this game for the first time on easy mode a few days ago after playing it very casually for almost 6 years 😊 I was very proud of myself, tried playing the extra stage and failed in 52 seconds 😅

Oh my god, how the fuck do you do this?? The farthest I ever got was "Xu Fu's Dimension" and then I got wrecked there.
Correction: Got to "Fujiyama Volcano". "Xu Fu's Dimension" is actually REALLY easy, it's just confusing at first.
I still don't get how "Honest Man's Death" works though. Is it like the laser only kills you if it hits you while you move or something?
MrCountryfruit No,it is like 'it looks like it will kill you,but it is still not fully fromed a harmful laser',maybe just half second before
Actually, its hitbox forms on top of you if you stand still, so you have to move towards it when it spawns, but you barely need to move at all, plus the bullets are aimed, so it ends up essentially being a streaming spell.
Once you get used to it it's arguably the easiest card in the entire game.

In this spell, the lasers are designed to activate once they sweep past the position you were in the moment they spawned. That is why you will see me move in the direction the laser comes from. So, if the laser comes from the right, I move to the right, for the laser will be inactive at that location. Hope that clears everything up.

did you know? :3 touhou 8 extra hava lot of tricks i'll tell you all and try this:
1.the first circling fairy can be easy to dodge by stay at the middle of the screen check at 0:34
2.the last fairy is more easy to dodge by stay very near to her 3:24
3."Flaw of Forgiving Shrine" stay at the orb/familiar left/right it wont shot
i think that's all of it i have try this tricks and it work with all character

Emishimaru - Sama No, it's just a Last Spell, like Eirin's Hourai Elixir
But.. Will It always happen, or are there circumstances for It to happen? Normally, doing perfect tend to work, so Idk, and Eirin's and Kaguya's are obligatory. (And Kaguya has a some many of those)
Emishimaru - Sama I just beat her and she didn't use Imperishable Shooting, so it doesn't happen always, but I don't really know the conditions for the Last Spell, maybe you have to capture all of her spell cards (which I couldn't do)
The criterion for activating Imperishable Shooting are listed in Spell Practice, and is to beat Extra with 7 or more spells captured. Just did it today, and it feels good to suffer little on what once tormented me.

the fu and hu sounds are similar in Japanese, kinda like how you would pronounce ra as a hybrid of our ra and la. じ is pronounced as ji though, but it's classified as zi on websites like wikipedia en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E3%81%98 . If you're more interested in the meaning of her name I would suggest the touhou wiki.
