I bought this movie in Canada and the digital code didn’t work. When I reached out to Paramount Pictures about it, they said the “offer” of a digital code was only redeemable in America.
I never realized that when they state 4k + Blu Ray + Digital Copy that you’re not actually buying the digital code but rather an “offer” of a digital code. Makes sense, considering they charge more when the digital copy is included!
Pretty disappointed with Paramount on this one. Had a similar issue with Universal and Vertigo, they had a replacement code back to me within 2 days. Paramount didn’t even respond for week, and I doubt they’ll ever respond to me calling BS on a digital code’s inclusion being an “offer.”
Off topic but a idea for a video is to highlight different boutique retailers and I know some of the big ones but I’m always looking for different places to buy from. Great videos and love the podcast keep the content coming
It came on blu ray in Australia in 2022 so its not the first time that its been released on blu ray
Hi Jeff, Red Eye was actually released on blu ray for the first time worldwide in Australia March 2022! I had it. But sold it last year as wanted to upgrade to 4K UHD.
Actually it was released in Australia on Blu-ray a year ago.
I saw this film with a friend of mine in high school and we were surprised by how good it was and also how short it was. Straight forward plot that didn't overstay its welcome with some great actors.

I got this on DVD years ago and remember enjoying it, so this is cool to know the film is out on 4K Blu-Ray now. Thanks for the video Jeff!
One of my favorites! Saw this with my mom in theaters back in 2005 when it came out and we loved it. So glad this is finally out on blu-ray.
I was on the fence on this one but you inspired me to get it. I love hearing that the picture quality turned out so well. And the artwork and packaging look top notch (I wish all 4K releases were given that premium treatment!) Topping it off, I love the two lead actors in this film. Haven't seen in it 18 years, so this will be really fun! Thank you, Jeff.
I have a digital purchase of this film, but I had to have it on Blu-Ray, so I purchased the combo you're reviewing for my birthday. It's a must have for me, as Murphy is scintillating in his sinister scene stealing scenes (how's that for an alliteration at the top of my head?), and Rachel McAdams is not only a great actress, but drop dead gorgeous! This film receives a solid 3.5/4 stars from me! Great review!
Saw this in theatres on my 15th birthday, if memory serves. Glad to see it's received a 4K release! And thank you for this channel! I'm glad to see there are so many other devotees to the physical home video format and its unbeatable quality!

This was Wes's take on Hitchcock. Very underrated. Will have to pick this up and upgrade my DVD.

So glad to see this! I saw Red Eye in the theater in 2005 and loved it. It was unfortunatly overshadowed by Flightplan, another airplane thriller, just with a different plot. This happened in 1997 (Dante's Peak and Volcano), '98 (Deep Impact and Armageddon), '99 (The Sixth Sense and Stir of Echoes), and '06 (The Illusionist and The Prestige), to name a few other examples. This movie definitely deserves more attention and praise. Thanks for the video!

Yeah I bought this one day 1 had to have it since I’ve always wanted a blu ray of it and never came out so the 4k was a no brainer

I remember watching this when it premiered on Cinemax in 2005, so I’m stoked for this release.
I blind bought this right after it was released on 4k because of the reviews on the transfer and then watched the trailer.
I watched it 2-3 weeks ago and I really enjoyed it! One of my best blind buys. The PQ and Audio is on point too.
Always enjoyed this quick little thrill of a movie and still watch it from time to time. I remember seeing it in the theater right around my 10th birthday haha. Looking forward to picking this up someday - I'm sure even the 1080p disc looks significantly better than the Australian BD I have.

I had completely forgotten this movie. Checked my Netflix DVD history and sure enough I rented it in Jan of 06 and Rated it 5 stars!

Such a lazy, lazy film. Not a joy of credibility or invention in it. Completely rote & Cilian Murphy as a villain…I’m glad they stopped trying to make this happen. The Hitchcock comparison - wow.

Just to let you know, it was released on blu ray, but only in Australia. I imported a copy to the U.S. from ebay last year, its a region free disc.
Then of course the 4K comes out and I had to double dip, haha.
