    If you haven’t already, I would tint the entire front windshield with ceramic tint. It makes a huge difference as it focuses on heat/UV rejection

    Coming from a gas car I was worried about the touch screen AC controls. But I set the left button on the steering wheel when you hold down I can control the fan speed without even looking. And this is customizable. So it’s even better than manual vents in my opinion bc I don’t even have to look at anything. Idk if you knew about this feature but this definitely solved that annoyance for me!

      How do you find the climate control during the summer? I’m worried about that glass roof.

      @@envieddesignsI live in GA where we have pretty hot summer and sun all day. The car definitely reached up to 140 degrees, but it cools down quick. When it’s cool already you don’t feel any heat from the roof, I also have ceramic tinted windows on the side so I don’t feel any sun heat either except through the windshield. I would definitely get your windshield tinted even if it’s just 70% barely noticeable, just for the heat rejection. The roof is fine though I wouldn’t even tint that or worry about it. All in all, windshield is your worst enemy for heat lol, and side windows if they’re not tinted.

    I think the Model 3 is the perfect car EXCEPT for the back seats. Not comfortable for long trips. Almost feels like you're sitting on a bench with your knees up. The front is perfect, spacious and the seats are amazingly comfortable.

    Thanks for this detailed update. I don’y about the shade though. I saw it with someone on UA-cam. It looks out of place. It attaches with clips.

    Tdo ! Great video man- i recently bought Tesla model 3 LR. I love the car and agree with all your points. For your static/rattling/creaking problem- maybe you can try recording with your phone next time it happens, and send to Tesla? Also, a shade for the sunroof is a very inexpensive way to keep your car cooler. Tinting would be the more expensive option. I did both :) . Again, great content and I hope you do more Tesla videos !

      Ceramic tinting is definitely the way to go. It cost me a little over 1k, but was totally worth it. The heat rejection not only gives the car more range in the summer due to less energy being used to cool the interior, but it doesn't peel over like cheaper tints.

      @@Legendz167 I mentioned it at the end of the video. Part of it is more space, but with my job, the higher ground clearance would be the main reason. For a sedan, the M3 actually has a lot of storage space.

    by saving on gas and then spending it on electricity isn't replacing a problem with another one , i understand kw/h is cheaper than mpg i have a tesla as well but i also have other gas vehicles and yes you save a little with an electric car because of less moving parts and blah....blah.... etc .... but were do Dead batteries go ??? how much energy pollution and energy draw is required for those batteries factories??? yes electric cars are the future i just don't think the world and the technology is ready but i guess we gotta start somewhere right i just hope my tesla last as long as my gas vehicles with proper maintenance of course.

    Hey boss, first I want to say thank you for all your info about teslas and all the gaming info! Second, I’m in between getting a Tesla model 3 but can’t decide for the long range or performance. My commute to work will be 25 miles and back so 50 miles a day. And this will be my daily. But also the mods I eventually would like to do in the future is to bagged the Tesla and turn it to a show car but as a daily also. The only thing I like from performance is the ludicrous badges because it’s looks so galaxy. Can you help me decide

    • @TonyDo
      @TonyDo  2 місяці тому +1

      Range should not be an issue for you as a daily driver so I wouldn’t worry about that. Do you plan to take the car for longer road trips frequently? If so, LR is obviously better but that’s really the only scenario I’d favor it over the performance.
      Plus, the performance currently qualifies for the $7500 tax rebate if you qualify and the LR does not. One other thing to consider - the LR comes with all season tires and currently the Performance comes with summer tires.

    A friend who is extremely skeptical claims that Tesla only has a five year warranty and that if the battery is not working at that point, a new one would cost $3000+. Is that true? Does anyone know if folks have had trouble with batteries dying? Grateful!😻I’m considering getting a new Tesla…

    My 2023 LFP is pretty accurate when it comes to battery percentage regardless of the outside temps, it is a little too pessimistic when is comes to anticipated range (I always end up doing more miles per charge / using less kwh)
    It's winter in Australia and mild, I leave home at elevation (1100m / 3600 ft) in the mornings at around -5C (23F), by the time I get to work near the coast 50 miles away it's normally +8C (46F) or so and 15-18C (59-65 F) by late afternoon coming home.
    I find very little difference at -5C to +18C from a usage perspective using the heater /climate set to 21C (70F). I am averaging 117wh/km or 188wh/mi and it hasn't moved by more than +/- 1 kwh from that average over the first 3100 miles / 5000 Km. i.imgur.com/fjoQzNK.jpg
    It does get hot here so I will keep an eye out for the additional usage using aircon - Australian delivered vehicles have a ceramic coating on the roof glass which keeps out 99% of UV, but I also have an insulated roof shade which should help.
