Can’t beat the sound of a screw blown BAE hemi
despite the turbo making more power, the blower sounds like a beast
So
Turbo = more power
Blower = more rowdy, better noise
Keep in mind that the turbo car swept the blower car across the whole weekend. The closest was the 2nd Round where they were only 0.7hp apart! 👍

Sheldon Pillay what ? Turbos have different boost per gear to suit the tracks traction. A mechanical driven blower cannot do that and hence will always loose. Turbos should also make 20-25% more power.
Nor Dic if you factor gearing out , turbos make top end power and blowers depending on which type are lower and middle so there is a good chance that car would simply be too far ahead and the car in the video , doesn’t say if it’s a roots or a twin screw and there is a massive difference between those 2
@@nordic5490 The blower cars bring their power in with the torque converter slippage. They can do it gear by gear according to the track conditions. Same principal just a different technique. But you are right turbos will make more power only because it takes power to turn the blower.

seems like you are new to superchargers.
Have a look at the RPM, turbos made more power by 6600 than the blower could at nearly 9000
turb06 traction is the issue. Turbo has boost through gears to suit the track. Eg, 18psi off the line, 30psi in 2nd, all the boost in the remaining gears. Belt driven blowers cannot do this thus will allways loose. This is why turbos are banned in many classes.
A turbo engine should always make 20 - 25% more power than a belt driven blower, every thing else being equal.

It's called a hub dyno. It eliminates tyre slip
