No matter how often i see those long corridors they give me the willies every time! What happened to Ryan that put him off staying overnight at the Convent?
Those long corridors are spooky and reminiscent of old horror movies I've seen. One has the expectation of something popping out of any one of those doorways or at the hallway's end where IT may come rushing at you at hyperspeed. Geez, I just scared myself!! Doh!
@@melodyfisher1512 Exactly. (One of my fave movies in the horror genre.) Add some spooky music, then absolute stillness, and VOILA, major horror moment.
What makes the latest noises different is how close they seem to be to the recorder. Most of the previous ones seemed to occur farther away from the device but yesterday's sounded close-by.
Debbie here,,,,to me it sounded like people moving furniture about . Adding the camera is brilliant. Can’t wait to hear and see the outcome of the convent mystery…..and thanks again for no music…I’m really enjoying watching you guys …..👩🌾 🌼🐿️
Very much so! It might be sensitivity of the mic or proximity of the noise source, but banging is rather loud and clear, it seems it's closer than it was in previous recordings. Perhaps it's time to contact paranormal investigation channel that has already got in touch with Billy explaining that they were staying in the convent during few nights when it wasn't purchased by Gwen and Billy yet. They have the gear for further exploration. It's spooky, curious and humbling at the same time. Whatever it may be, respectful and cautious approach would be wise. And some spiritual guidance, perhaps, from a priest or someone who knows how to deal with such occurrences if proved to be something otherwise inexplicable.
Simon is really intrigued by the strange noises. Billy seems unnerved by “this creepy place”! Maybe time to spend the night??? Not alone, tho! Wonder who would volunteer? Simon and Yanis are making short work of getting the hallway all prepared for plaster work. Love from Pennsylvania, USA 💕🌷🐻
We are loving the sound detection on your vlogs. We have an old house and we had a lot of unexplained activity during the period when we were making structural changes. Things settled down once we were done. The nuns will love the new library. 😄
Every time I see the kitchen in the view of the opening of the show it’s so beautiful and it seems to become so much more each time. I see it with the golden glow around the room. If it is ghost , the more construction you do the more they will be active. But you would think there would be at least some voices .I really wouldn't worry about anything that would harm you if they haven't done anything so far.
As for the suspected haunting/ mystery sounds, my grandmother used to spread flour and/or salt on hardwood and laminated floors, on occasion powdery sand or wood dust. The results were mainly field mice were making their way into the farmhouse to prepare for winter. Perhaps give the area a sweep to remove your traffic and dust the floors?
Love your dad! Hard working guy! All of you are. That place is pretty spooky on all levels. Just found your channel and will be watching all your videos. Fascinating!!
Imho I believe the audio needs a bit of “cleaning up,” in order to sort out the various sounds: footsteps, things moving/being moved, and even possibly voice/s.
Previous recordings could be explained by birds (even though they are rather similar despite being recorded in different places). But yesterday’s is just too many different noises. As much as I like ghost stories, I have a feeling as if something is living/hiding in the building and comes out at night. The latest recording definitely seems like someone is walking around banging on stuff.
I was sleeping on my couch one night and I swear there was a person in my attic dragging a body across the floor. I was absolutely scared to death! Turned out to be raccoons in the attic!
It’s very strange for sure. It did sound like someone was in there. Maybe there is a secret entrance you don’t know about! Yikes! BTW…love that old bell.
There are motion activated cameras that are used to track wildlife that also work at night. They are small and made to be mounted on trees and along trails. Might be worth installing a few on each floor to catch who or whatever is making night noises
there is lots of plausible sources for the noise, an animal or bird, a car or truck, something banging in the wind. The bizzare part is that it seems somewhat consistent each night throughout different areas, and usually only for a short amount of time. A bird or animal or cars driving by would be throughout the night one would think.
My dads house is a new build timber structure. It made popping sounds for 18 years. One day I noticed a dip in the floot and discovered that two vertical timbers were not directly over the foundation collums. Some foundation work stopped the sounds. I suspect your sounds are related to the sinking of the elevator. If you can accuratly measure the decibles you can locate where the sounds are eminating from.
After listening several times, also at slow speed, it sounds like someone moving firewood and there is also some glass being pushed. As well as a sound as if someone is exhaling. I would like to spend the night there, because I see spirits every day.🙏 And has cleaned many houses. But for sure there is a nun called Bea who is there constantly, who loves Billy.❤ Have written it several times. could be exciting if Billy and Ryan want to have a slumber party and experience some "FUN". 🤣They don't do anything, they are only excited that the place is being renovated and life has come back to the house. I live in a haunted house. I'd suggest leaving a few interesting items in that room, photograph them from above for positioning and see if any of them have moved the next day. It's a really fun thing to do and quite eerie when you come in and they've moved...
A friend of mine back in 1989 told me about a time he was at a bothy in Scotland. He went up with a couple of family friends who had restored the place. The place has an upstairs 2 bedrooms and no carpets throughout. He was standing in the living room area when he heard someone coming downstairs with boots on, the stairway is walled so you can't see who's coming down until they're at the bottom, he obviously thought it was one of the people he was with but as the steps neared the bottom he saw his friends outside by the Loch edge, he flew out the building. There was nobody else in the bothy it was only them there. He lives in South Africa now and still talks about it to this day. He said it was loud and you couldn't mistake it for anything else.
Billy, it could be thermal expansion/contraction of the old structure around the elevator shaft. It also could be a squatter/explorers. Could you place the device in the elevator shaft or near it to see if the noises are louder?
I live in a house with zinc outer walls. Before the insulation in the roof was greatly improved, the house was Very noisy. It took me 2 to 3 years not to wake up and walk through the house, just to be sure no one had broken in. I continued to wake in spring and autumn on the noisiest nights for the next decade. I've also lived in 16th and 17th houses with a lot of wood framing and wooden walls. The noises in the recording are more like someone moving furniture, or metal buckets to mop the floor. It definitely doesn't sound like wood or metal expanding/contracting.

The noise is the energy left over from when the nuns lived there. It sounds like one nun was throwing a fit. Slaming doors and cupboards. I still recommend finding someone to smudge the convent for you. That should help with the bad energy. ❤
Sounds to me like a squirrel or a pigeon somewhere, down a chimney, in an attic or somewhere, knocking something over. Or just the old building cooling down after a hot day, As the wood expands and contracts it makes the next board do the same and so on. Old buildings are noisy.
Hey Billy! I have a suggestion regarding the footsteps your Dad heard ... try to replicate it if you can ... basically, maybe your Dad goes back to where he was when he first heard it (maybe someone else with him who can give a secondary experience) then someone goes upstairs directly above his head and walks around & let's see if that sounds the same (it may sound like footsteps, but, it might be softer or harder & that might indicate the distance - maybe it was in the attic or something & he just thought it was that top floor?). Also, just for comparison, you can have other people in other parts of the building ... for example moving around where you guys were at the given point in time ... just because there's also a possibility that if a sound travels through pipes, or something else, for example, it may sound like it's coming from one direction, but, in reality, it's coming from something else or from a different direction ... also, what may sound like footsteps might actually be a loose floorboard or old pipes knocking against each other.
Billy, I kind of hate seeing the old stone work and timber covered up, but, since you have your heart set on electric lights, running water, heating and cooling, I guess that it is inevitable.
