I know you've spoken about the CBA, max contracts, etc., on this channel, which I very much appreciate. Potential video idea (apologies if you've done this already or don't think it's a good idea): do you have any thoughts on the importance placed on All NBA selections in the context of things like contract eligibility and performance clauses, particularly given that journalists and sportscasters are the people who decide on those All NBA team selections? I'm not sure what a "better" system would look like, but it feels kinda wrong that a bunch of journalists, who are often very overt in their biases and risk nothing personally and professionally in submitting an All NBA ballot, get to make decisions that can cost a player tens of millions of dollars over a contract. Other factors, such as the newly-instituted games played threshold and overall positional ambiguity as players' roles on teams evolve, further complicate the issue. All NBA teams, and other distinctions like MVP and DPOY, seem on the surface like fun ways to recognize the best players in the league. But the financial impact of these decisions make them SO much more impactful to the players themselves.
I'm definitely into that stuff as well, but an observation I've made is a lot of people aren't interested in it. I might try it though because I'm interested in it and have a lot of opinions. Just gotta figure out how to get people to click on it.

The Pelicans did not trade Zo. Zo was an unrestricted free agent and selected the Bulls. Multiple teams were interested in Zo that year and he always wanted to play for the Bulls. He selected them like Caruso did and Derozan. The Bulls had to do a sign and trade to not lose him for nothing. Also, Zo played 35 straight games with the Bulls before that "slight meniscus tear." In those games he shot 42% from 3's. After revamping his shot with the Pelicans, he is one of the top 3 point shooters on a high volume as he took 8 a game.
Tatum is the new Pre-Prime to Prime Kawhi
oh man. Hope he's not following the same path. :prayer hands:
Ben simmons was a good player who is now too lost in the sauce, lonzo seems like he might still want it Id like to see him get another shot.
Exactly. Simmons is gone.
to the answer for why lonzo is constantly injured, the answer is all of it
I think you're right. If anything he's a good dude that loves basketball
i definitely heard that as "fall smoove" fuck my brain
that's probably what I said haha
I think Ben Simmons is gonna get a minimum contract, I think he’s going to perform slightly better than the last few years, then expect a huge payday, then get pissy and quit when he doesn’t.
I could totally see this.
sup, should do a vid bout borderline season awards such as clutch player or teammate of the year
I did a video related to that about ring culture, but maybe I'll do another.
I mean a grade 3 ankle sprain means he actually tore a ligament or something
yeah I had a grade 1 once and I literally cried.
didnt even mention embiid
I gave him the night off
hi from winnipeg canada
I knew a couple people from Winnipeg. Very nice people, but they all had the same last names and said they weren't related.
Love your vids daddy
videos love you baby
it might be the organixation. portland with oden n b-roy chicago w/ drose n lonzo ... are there any other teams with this type of history???
that's a good question. my feeling is it's coincidental
@whatslaps i really think theres something there .. miami is known for prioritizing health
Gotta genes for lonzo because his brother lamelo is kind of injury prone too
That was in my notes, but I forgot to say it.
Are NBA players OVERPAID?
I did one over 2 years ago on why they're SO paid. Might be time for a revisit.
No kawahi mention? 🤔
I have a video on load management and another one on injuries. I believe he's in both. I talked about him last week's episode as well.
What is your favorite NBA mascot and what type of work do you do for a living?
Rocky and it's not even close. I'm an ice fisherman and steamboat captain on the weekends. ;)
Mikal bridges missed his first game in his career just recently
did he really!!! I gotta look into that.
happy momday whatslaps
do you think a player NEEDS to be passionate about competition in order to be a superstar? i feel like some players are just about the bag. thats cool, but it feels to me like that higher echelon is only ahcieved by caring that extra little bit
I think anyone who loves what they do is going to succeed over anyone who is doing what they do for an ulterior motive. I'm generalizing, but you know what I'm sayin'.
this video reminded me ben simmons is still at my team…
I know. It's crazy. he's been laying so low.
Do you know any football stuff cause I am just getting into it and I feel lost
You and me both. My whole family loves football, I'm the black sheep.
No shoutout to Mikal Bridges?
sorry 😬
Bum Simmons might get another contract if he manages to get back in shape.
It's a maybe. I'd say Lonzo is probably more likely.
nah i think simmons didn’t play bc of his meniscus in 2020 tho
you think he gets a contract next season?
@@whatslaps man hell no😂
brah is someone trying to get you banned for botting? 3 hours into uploading the vid and you already have a 246 like to 226 dislike ration (i have to "return UA-cam dislikes" extension on?). I check your previous upload "The most disappointing team" and it seems to a have a normal ratio of likes to dislikes
Everything looks business as usual over here. I have that extension too. Sometimes it can be a buggy. good looking out though.
Have you ever considered making NFL content or do you not fuck wit football like that?
I used to be really into it, but lost interest. I want my brother to start making NFL content, but he's not interested in content creation unfortunately.
My dude is a mets fan? #LGM
it's actually an OG giants hat.
So, you are giving out misinformation for some reason. desperate for views and hits?🤣
sign and trade
@@whatslapsYou do realize the Bulls had Zo on their radar and he selected them. To prevent losing Zo for nothing, the Bull then traded Tomas Satoransky, Garrett Temple and a second-round pick. That's what happens when a player picks a team. That year, many teams were trying to get Zo.

Cs fans know Tatum doesn't go 100% every game... a reason why a lot of folks favor Jaylen over him
Real celtics fans dont favor either one of the Jay's over the other. And you cant assume if a player isnt giving 100% when he gives full effort on both sides of the ball
@@Vincestaples210i Real Celtics fans realize we got two of the best players in the league and have a team that the clippers sold their soul failing to build
@@Vincestaples210i Tatum def doesn’t give 100% on defense. There’s tons of times he doesn’t challenge at the rim. On offense Tatum chucking up 3s instead of playing in the offensive system def held us back for years but he’s def gotten much better as a distributor
oh dang. I thought Jaylen was Paul while Tatum was John.
@@acmitchell. pointing out specific flaws to say that's not giving 100% effort sounds idiotic. I can probably find multiple instances for every player not challenging a shot at the rim where they could have gotten put on a poster for trying, and I can find multiple players that take a horrible heat check shot or fadeaway shot over someone that could be considered a mismatch. There probably isn't a player that gives 100% then if that's the standard
