Your uncle is a very admirable man. Anyway, instead of the Cyberdemon, do you think it would have been better to fight Hans Grosse or even Hitler in a giant robot suit?
I like the super secret level. Not much to say her neither man. BFG, invincible, shoot, kill, finish. Way to go BMD. Your Uncle is very kind bro, he got you a new headset, I like it.

***** I'm surprised you didn't tell the CyberDemon to go fuck himself during your video, much BlooditeDrakan did in his "Brutal Doom" run of this same map
Map 32 was such an amazing map. CyberDemon at the end is an expected enemy to see which is why I love this game quite alot. Commander-Keen at the exit is quite a welcoming edition to this game since I loved Commander Keen as well which is why I got that game and already I'm enjoying them. Love the secrets, love this map as a whole, and love references here. 1:10 *sniff sniff* Man I miss JimmyGGS91! He has a place in my heart!
Another glorious fact about this level is the SS officers who take such delight in murdering each other with glorious abandon! I don't think though the Cyberdemon is as intimidating as Hans Grosse. It seems a strange thing to say I know, maybe it's because we had already seen a Cyberdemon already or the fact this level is a homage.
I think it may be a combination of both. When we first see Hans Grosse, we see this giant man and he's right in our face with two big Chainguns. In Doom II, we've already seen a Cyberdemon and we also have the Invulnerability.
I’ve been playing doom 2 right along with you since map 1..I have yoir video going as Iam playing lol thanks man you’ve helped me with some of the secrets and stuff ..great job on explaining things out ..thank you my friend ..right now Iam on the second secret level after wolfistein map..
In map 32, according to the wiki, they planned on killing commander Keen there, because a Doom developer, I think Adrian Carmack, developed Commander Keen and he hated it, for being so childish, now he designs games with a darker theme and lots of blood and gore.
I can see some magenta in beetween the SS oficcers legs on a pain sprite idk why I think its because they used magenta background when making the characars and enemies and stuff in wolfenstien 3d
I like watching your videos when I'm stuck on a certain part of a level or after I beat one just to see how it's done. In Doom 2, it's a bit more straightforward and I even found a lot of the secrets on my own. But watching this video, I just found that you were supposed to get a bunch of plasma on the other side! I fought the cyberdemon without any invulnerability, and surprisingly didn't lose any health.
It's easy to find the super secret level on "Hurt me Plenty!", because there is a secret area in the secret level "Wolfenstein" that with the help of the automatic map you find a secret next to the exit, which takes you to Grosse
I had always wondered why there were Commander Keens in this level as a kid. I found it hilarious but strange until I learned decades later that Id created the Commander Keen games. I love it.
Yeah, the new mic sound quality is just wonderful. Your voice is much more clear and awesome now. Good job beating this map, and yeah, I've heard that theory of Commander Keen, B.J. and Doomguy being relatives of each other, but in different times. It's interesting how those Id Software games are tied together in terms of story. Oh, and thanks for the shout-out, I really appreciate it! =)
Thank you again, my friend. At this point, I have exactly 26 subs, but I don't care about the numbers. I'm doing videos just for a hobby, and if I can help or entertain one single person or one million of them, that's perfectly fine for me. BTW, in a couple of hours, a new GoldenEye 007 video will be online. :)
That's exactly how I feel, my friend. I do these videos as a hobby and it wouldn't matter if I had 1,000,000 subs or just 10. I'd do it with the same effort. And about your videos, I will set time today to catch up on your stuff, and even comment on your videos. I really need to start doing that. :)
That's good. My commentary isn't so good, because I still struggling with English, but I'm trying to make my walkthrough pretty informative in terms of strategy, story and comparing what happens on the game with some Goldeneye movie scenes.
Your commentary and the way you write English in your comments is really improving, my friend. You're writing bigger, better sentences all the time. It won't be long until you're a real master at it, lol. :D
Played Keen 4 as a kid before I started playing Doom so I remember getting quite a shock when I saw 4 of him hanging there, didn't want to kill him but it had to be done...sorry Billy!
Been playing DOOM, DOOM 2, DOOM 64, and DOOM Eternal on nintendo switch. Your playthroughs have helped me with the most annoying levels on doom ep 4 and now doom 2, so thanks for that. Never got to play doom much as a kid aside a couple occasions at my dad's work. I did found the secret exit by myself on m15 and was so shocked to found the wolfenstain levels. damn id software, you tied your 3 best games characters into the same family! also, at the end of wolf rpg, nazis try to reincarnate or re-animate a demon, and when you beat him (after you take off his left arm and right leg, or the other way around) he says "your descendants will pay!!!" meaning keen and doom guy would pay for the wolf characters doings. while keen got off scott free, doomguy didn't have a good time
I saw your facebook status about the microphone. Your Uncle is a hero :) Always played this map when I was a kid. It was one of my favorites because of the arena style boss fight. It's interesting how the 3 characters are part of a family. I did not know that, thanks for the info :)
Doom guy is a relative to B J blazkowicz, because he shows similar facial expressions like his ancestor, for example when B J finds a chain gun, he does the nefarious smile, doom guy does the same thing.
Well, what's interesting is Billy Blaze from the Commander Keen series, B.J. Blazkowicz from the Wolfenstein series, and Doomguy from the Doom series are all related to each other. It's crazy. ;)
Wasn't there someone that quit ID Software because ID were making their games too bloddy unlike commander keen? could it be that the bloody commander keen has something related to that?
BigMacDavis Yeah, also that. But I don't find the inclusion of commander keen with the doom/wolfenstein universe as fitting. I didn't play it yet, but it seems like it is like Mario games with non-so violent theme. Like how mario games are both for children and adults. Including that type of game with quite violent games seems disturbing to me. Also, notice how doomguy blasts his grandpa's 8 year old hanging clones' guts off.
Oh man! Another classic Wolfenstein map! I used to be greeted by Hans Grosse with 2 machine guns when I opened the door and he said, "Guten tag!" (which is "Good morning" in English). When you shoot him down, he says, "Mutti!" ("Mommy!" in English) lol, and the golden key would automatically appear. On this map though, I was not expecting the Cyberdemon at all lol, but I got him.
OH MY GOD I was looking for this game for ages!! Commander Keen, I could only remember tiny details of it and wanted to know the name of it like crazy! Ah, memories.
I heard about the relations between our heroes. Officially, Doomguy's surname was shown in Doom II RPG game released for iPhone and iPod Touch. There are three characters in the game and one of them is Sergeant Stan Blazkowicz who is the original game's protagonist(Yes, Doomguy, indeed). That's weird for me too! And, your voice clearer than old ones :)
I feel so sweet! Talk about a punny name from this "You'd better *blaze* through this one!" quote! And it all feels like a family reunion! Though it's kinda sad that you had to kill your own hanged relative children in order to *blaze* though the exit! And the music sounds better than the DOS version from years ago. What a nice, new mic you got there too! Nice vid! :)
Nice run and BIG thanks for the infos at the end of the map. I though Wolfenstein 3D was the first ID game and never heard of commander Keen. I though Keen was a reference or some sort of joke about one of the programmers like in Doom 3 (the dying marine next the Alpha Lab Sector 1, his name is actually one of the programmers of ID. Some others throughout Doom 3 are also related to ID employees and you can verify this with the last PDA you can find on the last level just before the Cyberdemon fight.) It's always nice to have some game and character's backgrounds and that's one of the reason why i like your channel and the videos you make. You always add infos like that whenever you have to chance and it's a big plus :D Keep it up and stay well my friend :)
No problem at all, my friend. I always like to add the extra info wherever I can to make things interesting, and to also explain things better. It's also why I have special videos about Half-Life. There is so much information in there, it takes a whole video to talk about it, lol.
And that was it from Wolfenstein 3D maps. I need to admit, I felt satisfaction from punching Commander Keen in his face. I respect Commander Keen for showing that platformers are possible on PC, but overall I don't like to play this game. Also if Blazkowicz's (it's a Polish last name that you can read as "Blazkovich") grandson is Billy Blaze, does that mean that one of Blazkowicz's daughters, introduced in Woflenstain: Youngblood, was Billy's mother? Also as a side note. First, I was going to ask if Blazkowicz's family tree is still actual after they introduced B.J. Blazkowicz's daughters, because I forgot that Billy was his grandson not son. Good thing you've mentioned it, so I didn't wrote a stupid thing.
Nice quality of the new mic, only the volume could be little bit up :-) Anyway, that's weird how Commander Keen and B.J. are relatives. Each game takes place in totaly different universe. CK takes place in spaaaaaace where you shoot all kinds of aliens and Wolf takes place on earth where you shoot nazis. Also they each look different.
Yeah, in 1992, there was talk with id Software about combining Wolf3D and Commander Keen together, but I'm not quite sure how that would work out. But that plan was short lived, because... well, you know, Doom came out a year later, lol. And about my microphone, sure thing, I will turn it up. It may take a couple videos to get things sounding right, lol. :D
I don't know how that combination would work, but OK :-D Probably the most logical reason, why are they relatives, is simply because they are all from id Software games :-D
That's great reasoning. Sort of like how Valve Corporation is making the Half-Life and Portal games interlinked with each other in the same storyline web. :D
the only bad thing about this map is that, like I use to say: if played from something I call a "full -weapon start" (with all the weaponry), this is in my opinion the easiest map in Doom 2. oh well, maybe from scratch (like from a pistol start) it would be rather troubling.
Can't remember who, but didn't someone from id Software confirm that DoomGuy was Keen's son or something? If that's true, that makes this map even darker and more hellish since DoomGuy has to kill effigies of his father in order to escape.
I think, if I have the chronology right, B.J. Blazkowicz from Wolf3D is Keen's grandfather. And Keen is Doomguy's grandfather. I could be wrong on that but it's pretty close to it.
Yeah, I like that Id seemed self aware that the Wolfenstein enemies were noticeably smaller than DOOM characters and gave the SS Officers munkin voices to match their comparably diminished size.
A family of super-heroes. By the way, Commander Keen is a saga with something like 5 or more games (I can't remember, it's been a while since my last time playing it). All I can say it's that all the CK games are tough as fuck. Some levels were just a pain in the ass. I have "terrible" memories specially from CK 1 with those green monsters pushing me and the other ones charging through you before you could even see them on screen; and also with the final boss of CK 2.
Yup, there are six Commander Keen games, and I have played through all of them. Some levels are insanely tough, especially the ones in Keen 3. As a kid, I think it took me a whole month of playing to finally beat it. My favorite Keen game is Keen 5: The Armageddon Machine.
I play this level a lot on my tablet and this and the level Wolfenstein are my favourite. And I love Wolfenstein 3D alot too and its boss fights and levels too ;)
@@MarioMcFly if it's like the download from the Slayers collection, swastikas are replaced with the triangle symbol from the German version of the new Wolfenstein games. Also, Hitler doesn't have a mustache.

Goood those Wolfenstein 3D Level makes me whish to play exact that game again.^^ It is extremly funny how most people know about Wolfenstein 3D in germany while it was Forbidden, but maybe that is why.^^ Wait? But I wonder how they made it in Duke Nukem 3D Nuclear Winter where you see a Space Merren killed very badly. I wonder how they managed that. But maybe it was like Noas Arc 3D, something weird happened and there it was.^^
Oh, so you've heard of Noah's Ark 3D, huh? You're the first person to ever mention that game to me. I played that when I was a kid. So are you from Germany? How do you really pronounce "Grosse?"
You mean Große? You mean that word that means Big, or the Big. Here: www.dict.cc/?s=gro%C3%9Fe Just click at the Speaker Icon on the side of the word. Well if you speak two languages you know where to get your answers xxxD.^^ Feel free to browse there. Is a damn neat dictionary. Anyway, yea Noah's Ark 3D. I only knew it because of the Angry Video Game Nerd.^^ I am a big fan of that dude, so much fun to watch him swear al over the place.^^ But you really played a bibble game, that is strange.^^ xxxD.^^ But that means you had no problems to play Wolfenstein 3D after it xxxD.^^

It's always nice to have some game and character's backgrounds and that's one of the reason why i like your channel and the videos you make. You always add infos like that whenever you have to chance and it's a big plus :D
Keep it up and stay well my friend :)
No problem at all, my friend. I always like to add the extra info wherever I can to make things interesting, and to also explain things better. It's also why I have special videos about Half-Life. There is so much information in there, it takes a whole video to talk about it, lol.
I honestly think that the Spiderdemon should have been the boss in this level because Grosse used chainguns.
2:57 Cyberdemon: GUTEN TAG!
I swear I was waiting on the Cyberdemon to growl "GUTEN TAG"
Oh yeah that new mic is much better. You voice sounds much clearer. :)
Thank you. I'm gonna turn it up slightly tomorrow. :)
Maybe some day Gordon will meet with GLaDOS :-D
Lol, now wouldn't that be something? :D
Speaking of commador keen you should probably make a walkthrough of that game one day
So, you're saying Doomguy just murdered his own ancestor when he killed Billy Blaze.
Thanks Uncle Maurice!
🤘🤘🤘
That cyber demon is known as the Harbinger of Doom supposedly when he dies he tells Doom guy that he will return to fight his descendants
1:23 The video starts
the only bad thing about this map is that, like I use to say: if played from something I call a "full -weapon start" (with all the weaponry), this is in my opinion the easiest map in Doom 2. oh well, maybe from scratch (like from a pistol start) it would be rather troubling.
Big ups to Uncle Moe, a decade later.
Hopefully, Uncle Moe is still around.
Sadly, he passed away a few years ago, of lung cancer.
@@BigMacDavis I'm sorry to hear that. He sounded like a nice guy.
Good Investment!
I agree.
Love the secret maps in Doom 2 they are Pure fan
Can't remember who, but didn't someone from id Software confirm that DoomGuy was Keen's son or something? If that's true, that makes this map even darker and more hellish since DoomGuy has to kill effigies of his father in order to escape.
I think, if I have the chronology right, B.J. Blazkowicz from Wolf3D is Keen's grandfather. And Keen is Doomguy's grandfather. I could be wrong on that but it's pretty close to it.
U planning on doing keen walkthroughs?
Possibly in the future.
Haha; *Honey I shrunk the SS Officers!*
..these bonus levels are a neat touch to the game.
Yeah, I like that Id seemed self aware that the Wolfenstein enemies were noticeably smaller than DOOM characters and gave the SS Officers munkin voices to match their comparably diminished size.
I am pretty sure the missing secret you think of is in the first level of the same wolfenstein episode..?
Hey buddy, I love your videos they are amazing. Have you ever thought of making a walkthrough of the Quake games or Duke Nukem?
Doomguy absolutely has no respect for his elders in this map lol he punches the living crap out of his father LMAO
Your new microphone really enhances you videos mr Davis, maybe you should change your walkthroughs description from 20% better to 50% ...
Haha, thank you. Maybe a new computer will push it to that number, lol.
The new microphone makes your voice even clearer. Maybe your walkthroughs are 50% better rather than 20...
50% better? Oh wow, thank you.
I play this level a lot on my tablet and this and the level Wolfenstein are my favourite. And I love Wolfenstein 3D alot too and its boss fights and levels too ;)
WOOOOOOOOWWWWW WHAT A GREAT LEVEL!
...strangely, this Level is called 'Keen' in the XBOX BFG Edition... and it's censored there as well.
How so?
@@MarioMcFly if it's like the download from the Slayers collection, swastikas are replaced with the triangle symbol from the German version of the new Wolfenstein games. Also, Hitler doesn't have a mustache.
I like these videos!
MEIN LABEN!!!!
This is again probably useless trivia for most people, but anyways. This map too had no tagged secrets until version 1.9, where what is tagged here, were added.
I’d always open the door and let the cyber demon kill all the SS guys. Funny as hell to watch lol
I never would have figured that out.
How do you get to this level I missed it and I followed your full walkthrough!
it sounds more "cleaner" than before
I will agree with you. It does.
Hans Grosse is in the censored version of Wolfenstein 3D. They removed Hitler and the Swastika symbols.
Davis said he was 23 years old, he said all the way down in the depths of ye old (new) comment section on this video
Some people don't read the comment section, but that's okay. I'm always happy to answer the same question more than once, lol.
Doomguy's real name is john willam blazkowics III.
You make it look so easy but when I play it I always die
Nice job! You didnt took much damage while killing Nazis. I ussualy take alot damage here. Great job. This map is always fun to play through and its one of my favorites :)
Yeah, the key with the Nazis is killing them all quickly enough. A BFG blast might even work, lol.
*****
Or you can let the Cyber kill them :-)
***** That works too. :D
Imagine a game nowadays where for 100% walkthrough you need to kill 4 hanged little boys 😳
Good work
Goood those Wolfenstein 3D Level makes me whish to play exact that game again.^^ It is extremly funny how most people know about Wolfenstein 3D in germany while it was Forbidden, but maybe that is why.^^
Wait? Commander Keen, man there are so many refferences to so many bloody good games of that time, but yea, they are all from the same puplisher.
Here: www.dict.cc/?s=gro%C3%9Fe
Just click at the Speaker Icon on the side of the word.
Oh, thank you so much. This really helps a lot.
You're welcome. You can also try out other languages there, but I only can recommend German and English translations.^^
Thanks again. Now I know how to pronounce (kind of) some German words, lol.
I still can't believe they censored these levels in the BFG Edition. Id should be ashamed of themselves for that.
Uncle Morris to the rescue XD
He and I grew up together. He was the one who bought Half-Life, Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, and all those others I have now. He and I are best buddies. :)
and can u do a vlog if you can? (for 4000 subs.)
I'll think about it. I want to do one eventually.
awesome, buddy :)
:)
