$10 for that dog is a disgrace! I never buy food at those seasonal pop up stands. 9x out of 10 you get ripped off. Little incentive for them to serve good food. It's a hit and run!

Pretty sure the currywurst pommes supposed to have fries since pommes is fries in german. You just got the currywurst without the fries so it why it 14 instead of 19/20. I keep a bottle of the same curry ketchup in my fridge for fries and such that they used. Years ago their used to be a german hot dog cart in midtown near 54th st and 5th ave run by two brothers. That cart had some awesome currywurst.
I work over at Bryant Park and I am very skeptical about the things that I buy at those food markets. They are only there for a limited time about 3 months. Then the rest of the year the park looks empty. They over charge for mediocre food. Next to the 4x4 was a Korean hot dog spot, try their potato hotdog.

As a german I think that sausage is way too thin for a proper 'Currywurst' and the slices are way too thick. I also wonder why it's served with 'Sauerkraut'? French fries are what it's usually eaten with in germany. In my town the price for a Currywurst with fries would be like 6 euros which is like 6.5 USD. Even with a "novelty factor" accounted for, this price is absolutely insane. Or it's just simply New York. 🤣

It really sucks to see people take advantage of the location and sell garbage just to make money. There’s a video on ticktock about some guy that bought Apple pies from a Walmart type store just to sell slices at a farmers market for $10 a slice.
