A marriage crisis was the catalyst, where I had to confront myself, both my wrongdoings and past truama, and decided my ego had to die for the sake of restoring my family.
Leading up to that point, Calvinism had left me with dead faith, and it dawned on me Protestantism was a major influence on modern Western Individualism. That wasn't the life changing Christianity that restores unity to brokenness. That doesn't make you pick up your Cross and deny yourself. I turned back to past saints for guidance, and it lead me back to the Church Christ himself established.

The reverence of the Catholic Church. We face an altar, not a stage. I enjoyed the deep Bible study but not the way Protestants worship. Watered down Christianity.

My husband was in seminary to become a Presbyterian pastor. I was struggling with Calvinism and the feeling of emptiness in our low church liturgy. Saw a video by an orthodox priest and went deep into church history. Sola scriptura was the first thing that crumbled for me. Two years later and me, my husband and five children will be brought into the Catholic Church this Easter! ❤

I’m a convert from a non denominational church to the Eastern Orthodox Church, because of the Eucharist and apostolic succession as well as the church structure and the holy tradition and when I found out the origin of the Deuterocanonical books,lt led me to convert to Eastern Orthodoxy, I was originally inclined to Catholicism but my research on the papacy and other dogmas and the stuff pope Francis and other popes have said/done kept me away from Catholicism, however i would rather be Catholic than Protestant!!!

    • @_Pia12
      @_Pia12 22 дні тому

@@chapmicua1858 Yes, of course. 🙂 I suppose atheism was never really my own point of view, but I was raised by atheist parents, with my mother being openly very hostile toward Christians. Even hateful. I grew up hearing that Christians are sick and perverted etc etc. I had no idea that there were different denominations or anything. But I always felt that there was more to this life than just the material. Much more. So, inevitably, I got into the “New Age” from the age of 12 (along with my mum, who by this time was a “New Ager” and still is to this day) and that progressed into full blown occultic practices (goddess worship, spell casting etc.) by the time I was 16. It was at about this time that I fell into a terrible depression and became quite s*icidal. One night when I couldn’t bear the thought of living anymore, I was crying up to the sky, yelling out, “I don’t know what to do!!” In an instant, a clear vision came into my mind of myself standing in a stone building, wearing a habit. I was a nun. This was perplexing and seriously confusing for me, so I quickly dismissed it. Nevertheless, I developed a bit of a curiosity as to what Christianity actually was after this, and this curiosity went on to last until I finally found what I was actually always looking for. The Truth. But that took many years and so many supernatural or preternatural things happening in my life before I finally got it through my thick scull that God (not gods and goddesses!) is THE One and only true God and that Christ is The Truth, The Way and The Life. I was baptised 10 years before my true conversion in January 2020 when I finally went to confession for the first time. After that first confession, I received Holy Communion for the first time since my Baptism and First Holy Communion at the Easter Vigil Mass in 2010. And with that, EVERYTHING changed for me. Thanks be to God.
So there was no final straw really. I was just a blind girl searching for the truth and God had enough mercy for me that He eventually brought me home to Him. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

My husband and I entered the Catholic Church this Pentecost after 10 years Protestant. I am a revert and my husband is a convert. Last summer the Lord asked me to look into the early church and after learning about the early church Fathers I was convinced the Catholic Church is the Church Jesus himself started. My husband planned to stay Protestant but after attending a Sunday Mass with me with the full choir he felt the Holy Spirit. Since completing OCIA and taking the Eucharist and doing our first confession and experiencing the great peace grace and forgiveness from the reception of the Sacraments including having our marriage convalidated we are astounded at the beauty truth and goodness of the Catholic Church. We pray the Rosary daily and also serve on the rosary team praying the Rosary weekly with residents in a local care home. I am an aspirant for the Secular Order of the Carmelites and pray several hours a day - the Liturgy of the hours, 3 rosaries, the way of the Cross as well as attend daily Mass and weekly Eucharistic Adoration. Catholicism is the fullness of the faith absolutely amazing!!!! 🙏❤️🙏❤️❤️❤️💕🎄God bless us everyone!!

As a Protestant looking into Catholicism, I think a lot of the conversions are due to the fact that we are in a new age of information. There was a time as a Protestant if you wanted to know anything about Catholicism. You had to essentially go to a Catholic church and try to talk to a priest about their beliefs. ( Which would rarely happen given the narrative around catholisim in protestantism ). Now in this new age of social media and information, it's so much easier to cut through narratives, watch debates, watch lectures, or any other informational video. I can't recall what video I stumbled upon but once I watched one video my algorithm changed to where it suggested other videos like it. And before I knew it, I was watching Catholic answers which is an apologetics UA-cam channel. Watching videos I probably never would have previously. I simply think that once people are able to hear the arguments for themselves instead of just going along with pre-preconceived notions, they've been given their whole lives about the Catholic church, they feel more confident in Catholicism and the churches teachings. I have found arguments for Catholicism incredibly profound and thought-provoking. I've been a Protestant Christian for over 20 years. I became a believer as a teenager and attended one of the nation's largest Evangelical universities and I'm heavily involved in a reformed Protestant Church with my husband and children. And I am learning things that go directly against everything that I have been taught or heard about the Catholic church. As bad as social media can be, there is obviously very good use for it, such as this. I think the more Catholics utilize social media and continue to openly debate Protestant arguments against Catholicism in a Biblically sound way more and more people may have their eyes opened.

I was brought up a catholic and always felt uncomfortable having to confess my sins to a priest. I also did not understand why catholics call the priests Father. I found a free Presbyterian chuch a couple of years ago and attend regularly. Biblical hymns are sang and text from the Bible are given. I now regularly confess my sins to the only Father who is in heaven. I have read through the Bible which is now beginning to make sense but have a lot more learning to build my relationship with the Creator of this world. All Glory be to Him.❤🙏

@@hopefulsue904 It's not about being "comfortable." And some Protestants used to call their pastors "Father." They only stopped in order to be different from Catholics. Then they found a Bible verse (which has always been there) to justify their change.

Read the Bible! See where Christ commands us to confess our sins to one another for forgiveness.

I am a revert to Catholicism. I was raised Catholic but left the church in my mid-20’s for a variety of reasons but mostly because it felt like the Catholic Church was dying. Most of the people in my parish were much older, and most of the Christians that I knew who were serious about following Jesus were evangelicals. Things were good for a while, but, over time, I started to feel uncomfortable with the casual approach to church that I was witnessing (I.e. people walking into church with their Starbucks coffee, the multimedia show etc.). This isn’t church, it’s a show. As you stated, with everything in society changing so rapidly, I realized that I needed to go back to the basics. I missed the reverence of Catholicism. So, after much prayer and discernment, I met with my local priest and started attending Mass again and receiving the sacraments. I now realize that I wasn’t the only one feeling this way. The Holy Spirit is drawing many evangelicals and others to the Catholic Church. Praise be to God. Jesus wants us to be one as He and the father are one.

They do not believe in any of the church father’s early letters! A lot of them think that the Catholic Church just made them all up! I was shocked at this! The first time I read one of Saint Ignatius letters on his way to Rome , I knew when I read it , that I was outside of Christs Church! And I wasn’t having that! Some of the reasons we converted is that as Protestants we were having some problems with the way the churches were set up. We became convinced that the Celibate Priesthood was a better way as the married Pastor often was more preoccupied with his wife and children. Further we had experienced churches just shutting their doors due to financial troubles and this didn’t seem right. It also seemed like there was no real reason to attend Church as we were not receiving anything - now we know that we needed the Eucharist.,it seemed more like a social club for white middle class Americans and less like a Universal church with people from all backgrounds. These were some of the things that we questioned as Protestants. Also the interpretations of the Bible varied so greatly from one Protestant Church to another and there was constant infighting in regards to Doctrine. I was tired of the fighting. When I read the Catechism of the Catholic Church it was like a huge weight was lifted - we don’t need to reinvent the wheel it’s been worked out already! I pray daily for the conversion of the whole world! All the early Church Fathers were Catholic and held to all the Catholic doctrines, infant baptism, Apostolic Succession, the Immaculate Conception and the Perpetual Virginity of Mary, the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, and on and on. The Catholic Church is the one true church and all will be Catholic in the end. Thank you and God bless you! ❤️🙏❤️

Lifelong Christian (baptist parents but I grew up in Assemblies of God church and schools).
When looking for a Church while expecting our first child in 2018, my husband asked me “why don’t we just watch church on TV” which led me down a rabbit hole of research, and since 2020-2021 we have both been Catholic and go to mass every Sunday, but will still watch father Mikes homilies on TV just for fun :)
The Catholic Church has the only rational theology. The Catholic Church is the only church that has the Eucharist - the fullness of truth and fulfillment of everything meaningful in this world or the next. The catholic church is under constant persecution from the outside and in, like Jesus said it would. The Catholic Church is universal. It actually claims to be for everyone. I have more reasons, but the comment is already too long.

There have been a lot of videos on UA-cam about this phenomenon recently. As someone in OCIA right now, I think this is the best video on what’s actually happening. It’s not just a longing for tradition and stability (though that’s important), Catholicism denies the very framework the modern world seems to impose: a selfish individualism focused only on fun and uniqueness. Catholicism asks you to give yourself up and let God become the focus of your life. My generation needs that.

Not me figuring things out, finding the Truth, or seeking out the Church, just God and Our Lady pulling me here despite my own sinfulness and stubbornness. I like to think it's because I questioned things, but that's not true at all, it's pure grace. I was raised Mormon, believed it all, loved it, was determined that my Catholic boyfriend would convert or I would dump him. Your words made me think, Cameron, as a Protestant I appreciate the video. A lot of what you say resonates with me, but I still find fundamental aspects of the faith lacking in the Catholic Church. Such as a deep love and longing for the Bible. And deep, thought-provoking, theologically rigorous and altogether 'intense' sermons.

    • @CameronRiecker
      @CameronRiecker  17 днів тому +1

I’d recommend the Bible in a Year podcast by Fr. Mike Schmitz and the Ignatius study Bible which just came out this year if you want more scripture study and love of Scripture.
If you want more intense sermons I’d recommend reading the sermons of Saint John Vianney or Saint Alphonsus Liguori.
If you just want straight up systematic theology, I’d recommend the Summa by St. Thomas.
I promise you the Catholic Church has all of the things you just mentioned and has for 2000 years.
I think what you’ll find as you keep looking into Catholicism is that whatever you love about your Protestant faith already exists In the Church.
Becoming Catholic means you loose nothing that you love about your Christian faith

As a convert to the faith myself, I watch this closely. People need something authentic in their lives. Watch how many times people use the word “literally” when they really mean “figuratively”. Everything outside the Church seems inauthentic, cheap, gaudy, and vain. I credit the explosion of the Internet along with Social Media for getting the truth out about the Catholic Church. It also helps when we see so many positive role models out there coming to the faith. For once, probably since 1973 when “The Exorcist” came out, we Catholics are the cool kids. During the ‘90’s and early 2000’s, the megachurches with their elaborate stage shows and Ted Talk style of sermons were all the rage. But now it’s the people publicly praying the Rosary, listening to Hallow, listening to “The Exorcist Files” on podcast, going to Adoration - it’s authentic and the best possible representation of Christ’s Church on earth, and that’s why it works. Finally, it’s the only remedy in this world against the evil forces of Satan. Christ gave us his Church, his Mother, and all the Saints to be a powerful weapon against the forces of evil.

    • @porcine83
      @porcine83 19 днів тому

I would agree with about the shallowness of many churches (TED talk, et al) BUT I think that misses the point. Saying "Catholicism is better than the Mega churches" is meaningless, if they are both wrong. If our goal is to please and worship God, then we should strive to meet HIS standard, right? Where do we find that? Only in His revealed word of the Bible. That is the only objective truth. Everything else (feelings, preferences, traditions etc) are all man-made. My challenge is to look at the New Testament church as described in Scripture and compare it to the RCC. There is virtually no similarity. None. No priesthood (I Tim 2:5) no praying to saints/Mary (Ex 20:3-6) and more. But the single most important issue is "What must I do to be saved?" How do you, me and anyone else reconcile with God, so we live for Him on earth and go to Heaven when we die? The answer is grace by faith in Jesus. (Acts 16:30-31, John 3:16) Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord (in Faith) shall be saved (Romans 10:13) because Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). It's not as important what "church" you identify with, it's most important that your faith is in Jesus alone, not a checklist of items.

    • @Saul2PaulCatholic
      @Saul2PaulCatholic 16 днів тому

@@porcine83 - we're not Catholics because it's "better", it's because it IS the one, true, catholic, and apostolic Church. You miss that point, where is your apostolic authority in Protestant churches? Please enlighten me as to what your "faith" means? I've been in Protestant churches for 40 years and they equate simple belief with faith, which is wrong, and not salvific. There are three aspects to faith that are required for salvation. Before you say "that's not in the Bible, I can bring the receipts and quote the verses if you like:
      1. Conviction- Belief and intellectual assent to the truth.
      2. Confidence - Trust in God and His promises.
      3. Commitment - Obedience, marked by a willingness and readiness to act on God’s will.

I spent my youth and early young adult years in Methodist congregations but always felt something was missing. Since moving to Oklahoma, I felt drawn back to Christ and ended up in a Church of Christ congregation but, again, felt something was missing. I visited the local Catholic Church and it felt like all the missing pieces began to appear and fit.
Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay. Because I’m married to a previously divorced woman (she didn’t initiate the divorce, her ex was a serial adulterer who decided he’d rather be single and swinging than married) I was told I would never be allowed full communion unless she also got involved in order to get an annulment. She isn’t interested in doing that because it would open 25 year old wounds.
So I’m still Protestant, but I ended up joining a confessional Missouri Synod Lutheran congregation where tradition, sacrements, and God’s influence at least still remains, unlike most Protestant denominations that only care about symbolism, flash, and pizazz.
Edit: I still have some fundamental issues with the underpinnings of Protestantism, especially the contradiction between sola scriptura and sola fide. If the Catholic Church ever relaxes their stance on people who married someone previously divorced, I’d probably jump in with both feet.

The Eastern Orthodox Church looks more stable. That said, I started attending RCIA and Roman Catholic mass (wish it were TLM, rather than NO) simply due to location. I expect to stay with Roman Catholics because of the rosary, and I like the many sacramentals, and the Marian dogmas make sense to me. For all their fuss over Sola Scriptura, I've found the Protestant interpretation of Biblical narratives to be unexpectedly misinformed and superficial. The RC isn't perfect. The problem with popes, is that you can get stuck with a bad one. I pray the church can get back on track.

I’ve been a member of a traditional Latin mass group for 35 years and it’s made me. I am today steadfast. In my faith sir I agree with you. The church isn’t perfect. It’s the individuals who are not. The church is the orthodox church for one is amalgamation of all different groups of the orthodox, and they all don’t believe in the same thing Timothy Flanders was a protestant, then became orthodox and he left orthodox because he saw they were not unified. In a lot of dogmas. The Catholic Church is and we have right now a lot of chaos in the Catholic Church because of this Pontiff but that’s not going to make me change to go to the Orthodox. Please reconsider try to find a traditional Latin mass to let you know I’m a member of the SSP X, and Francis has granted the SSPX capacity of hearing confessions and to perform marriages maybe that’s not the route you want to go but for me, I know, and I pray for this pope, so please don’t go down the other road to the orthodox stick fast my friend stick fast and God will reward you I’m not saying he’s not, but he will help you and he will give you the grace to see. 🕊️The quotes provided below are historical facts in reference to our early church which existed prior to Romes adoption of Christianity in 313 A.D.
    Church:
📖"Let no man do anything connected with the Church without the bishop. Let that be deemed a proper Eucharist, which is [administered] either by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church.” [St. Ignatius of Antioch - Letter to the Smyrneans 8 (c. A.D. 110)]
    Bishop, Priest & Deacon:
📖“Since, then, I have had the privilege of seeing you, through Damas your most worthy bishop, and through your worthy presbyters Bassus and Apollonius, and through my fellow-servant the deacon Sotio, whose friendship may I ever enjoy, because he is subject to the bishop as to the grace of God, and to the presbytery as to the law of Jesus Christ [St. Ignatius of Antioch- Letter to the Magnesians 2 (c. A.D. 110)].
    Eucharist:
📖“Take note of those who hold heterodox opinions on the grace of Jesus Christ, which have come to us, and see how contrary their opinions are to the mind of God... They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer because they do not confess that the Eucharist is the flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ, Ash that suffered for our sins and that the Father, in his goodness, raised up again. They who deny the gift of God are perishing in their disputes.” [St. Ignatius of Antioch - Letter to the Smyrnaeans 6-7 (c. A.D. 110)].
    Scripture:
📖“[W]hoever perverts the sayings of the Lord for his own desires, and says that there is neither resurrection nor judgment, is the firstborn of Satan. Let us leave the foolishness and the false teaching of the crowd and turn back to the word that was delivered to us in the beginning.” [St. Polycrap of Smyrna - Letter to the Philippians 7 (c. A.D. 135)].
    Sunday:
📖“But Sunday is the day on which we all hold our common assembly, because it is the first day on which God, having wrought a change in the darkness and matter, made the world; and Jesus Christ our Savior on the same day rose from the dead.” [St. Justin Martyr - First Apology 67 (c. A.D. 151)].
    Actions/Works:
📖“We have learned from the prophets, and we believe it is true, that punishments, and chastisements, and good rewards, are rendered according to the merit of each man's actions. If it is not so, then all things happen by fate, and nothing is in our own power. If it is fated that this man be good, and this other evil, the former is not meritorious nor the latter blameworthy [St. Justin Martyr - First Apology 43 (c. A.D. 151)].
    Apostolic Succession:
📖“It is within the power of all, in every church, who may wish to see the truth, to contemplate clearly the Tradition of the apostles manifested throughout the whole world; and we are in a position to reckon up those who were instituted bishops in the churches by the apostles, and [to demonstrate] the succession of these men to our own times; those who neither taught nor knew anything these [heretics] rave about.” [St. Irenaeus of Lyons - Against Heresies 3:3:1 (c. A.D. 189)]
    Baptism:
📖“The children shall be baptized first. All the children who can answer for themselves, let them answer. If there are any children who cannot answer for themselves, let their parents answer for them, or someone else from their family.” [St. Hippolytus of Rome - Apostolic Tradition 21 (c. A.D. 215)].
    Confession:
📖“After this, one of the bishops present, at the request of all, laying his hand on him who is ordained bishop, shall pray this way: O God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. pour forth the power that is from you, of "the princely Spirit' that you delivered to your beloved Child, Jesus Christ, and that he bestowed on your holy apostles, who established the Church that hallows you everywhere, for the endless glory and praise of your name. Father, "who knows the hearts [of all]” grant this servant, who you have chosen for the episcopate, to feed your holy flock and serve as your high priest blamelessly night and day, and unceasingly turn away wrath from your face and offer to you the gifts of the holy Church. And that by the high priestly Spirit he may have authority "to forgive sins" according to your command.” [St. Hippolytus of Rome - Apostolic Tradition 2-3 (c. A.D. 215)].
    Confirmation:
📖“The bishop will then lay his hand upon them, invoking, "Lord God, you who have made these worthy of the removal of sins through the bath of regeneration, make them worthy to be filled with your Holy Spirit, grant to them your grace, that they might serve you according to your will, for to you is the glory, Father and Son with the Holy Spirit, in the holy Church, now and throughout the ages of the ages. Amen." After this he pours the oil into his hand, and laying his hand on each of their heads, says, "I anoint you with holy oil in God the Father Almighty, and Christ Jesus, and the Holy Spirit." Then, after sealing each of them on the forehead, he shall give them the kiss of peace and say, "The Lord be with you." And the one who has been baptized shall say, "And with your spirit." So shall he do to each one [St. Hippolytus of Rome - Apostolic Tradition 21-22 (c. A.D. 215).
    Peter’s Authority:
📖“The Lord says to Peter: "I say to you,' he says, “that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell will not overcome it. And to you I will give the keys of the kingdom of heaven. [Mt 16:18-19]. On him he builds the Church, and commands him to feed the sheep [Jn 21:17], and although he assigns a like power to all the apostles, yet he founded a single chair [cathedra], and he established by his own authority a source and an intrinsic reason for that unity. Indeed the others were also what Peter was [apostles], but a primacy is given to Peter, by which it is made clear that there is one Church and one chair.... If someone does not hold fast to this unity of Peter, can he think that he holds the faith? If he deserts the chair of Peter upon whom the Church was built, can he be confident that he is in the Church?.” [St. Cyprian of Carthage - Unity of the Catholic Church 4; first edition (Treatise 1:4) (A.D. 251)].
These few topics (but a glimpse) were not only discussed but settled BEFORE Rome adopted Christianity (The Catholic Church) and eventually became The Roman Catholic Church as it also adopted its name after 313 A.D.
Is the Catholic Church Jesus’ original church❓Yes❗️
Does this excuse all its mistakes and sins from the record❓Of course not❗️As Christians, we are called to hold the church accountable, not leave it and let evil flourish within it.
How are we called to hold our Christian religion accountable❓
🕊️”Take heed to yourselves; if your brother sins, rebuke him, and if he repents, forgive him;” Luke 17:3
🕊️”Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. Look to yourself, lest you too be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. For if any one thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.” Galatians 6:1-3
🕊️”As for those who persist in sin, rebuke them in the presence of all, so that the rest may stand in fear. In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus and of the elect angels I charge you to keep these rules without favor, doing nothing from partiality.” 1 Timothy 5:20-21
🕊️”For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Is it not those inside the Church whom you are to judge? God judges those outside. “Drive out the wicked person from among you.” 1 Corinthians 5:12-13
Does anyone within the Christian religion supersede our Father’s words❓
🕊️“And when they had brought them, they set them before the council. And the high priest questioned them, saying, “We strictly charged you not to teach in this name, yet here you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and you intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.” But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.” Acts 5:27-29
Are we called to follow the Christian religion blindly❓
🕊️”Then the disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?” He answered, “Every plant which my heavenly Father has not planted will be rooted up. Let them alone; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” Matthew 15:12-14
This refusal of accountability within every Christian has led to over 40,000 diferente Christian denominations and the ignorance which has flourished from it.
🕊️”And his gifts were that some should be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ; so that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the cunning of men, by their craftiness in deceitful wiles. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ,” Ephesians 4:11-15
We are called by God to unite! What better church to do it under than the one he started.

There is alot of disinformation out there in America about Catholicism. We are all sinners and perfection is only in heaven. The chaff is always along side the wheat.
You have to go back to your founders. The Church is self reforming, the Council of Trent corrected the wrong in the Church before.
You have to not look at people in themselves. You have to study history, the consistency of faith, it doesn’t matter if there have been bad popes and priests. What matters is belief in Christ and the wholeness of faith He has given us where there is answers to all our problems, we are nurtured in Word and Sacrament.
Christ said in John’s gospel that Scripture is not enough to live in eternity, and ends up leaving one isolated.
Christ said He is the Bread of Heaven.

One thing I do not understand is how one who changes from one religious denomination to another one and both say the Holy Spirit told me to get out to the one I belong to and go to this one instead if both have received the same Holy Spirit. Don't we all have the same Holy Spirit? Should He be consistent in telling the same thing to the other one also?
It seems that one has a Holy Spirit and the other one has a different one. It does not make any sense. There must be only one religion or one church that is true and all the other ones are teaching the wrong gospel and are false and heretic and will be cursed.
As an example a Catholic becomes a Protestant and a Protestant becomes a Catholic and both say the Holy Spirit told me to change. This is what we call the law of noncontradiction. Both cannot be right; one is right, the other is wrong, or both are wrong.
One way to know which religion is the right one and the false one is just by believing one important passage of the Bible which is in John 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
John 3:5-8 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
The Roman Catholic religion does not believe or teach their parishioners about doing that. They say you are born again when you get baptized as a baby and as long as you have received the seventh sacraments, take the Eucharist, go to mass every Sunday, and go to confession you are saved. Also if Catholics think it is not necessary to get baptized as an adult to receive the Holy Spirit which the Bible says we must then I would say all Catholics will not see the kingdom of God if they are not born from above in the Holy Spirit. Why would the Holy Spirit want you to join a religion that teaches lies and we know what the Bible says that all liars will have their part in the lake of fire? It only takes one lie to end in hell.
As a Protestant who teaches the false doctrine of Calvinists of "Once Saved Always Saved" why would the Holy Spirit tell him to join that heresy religion then?
Why be partaking in the wrong religion that will send you to hell?
I think the true religion is not a building built by hand but by the Holy Spirit which is the body of Christ is the true church "The Rock Cornerstone and High Priest" with the power of the Holy Spirit living in our body which is the temple of God is the right one to chose and that the Holy Spirit would want all to belong.
John 14:23-24 Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him. He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.

I have attended several Catholic masses over the last 6 months and they made me sad honestly. Sad to see how many people that don’t even know what the actual gift of salvation is. People who are confused, people who don’t read the Bible. The thought that going to some man in box and asking to be forgiven of your sins is crazy to me when you can just pray to God. The idea of purgatory is absurd, it’s not in a Bible, and is just a scheme for the Catholic Church to get money.
Mary was not perfect, Jesus died for her sins too. The thought of praying to/through Mary and the Saints is so horrible. A slap in the face of Jesus really. The pope is nobody special. Infant baptism is useless.
I’m Protestant and nothing will ever change that. It’s interesting because while I do see some Protestants switching to Catholicism, in a Protestant Church, I have seen countless Catholics switching from catholicism to Protestantism.

You can't say that the RC church hasn't changed over time. Nothing eternal there, but more conservative than Protestant churches. The Vatican has power and authority, which attracts people searching for security and a father figure -- which is OK. Some RC find peace after converting to Islam -- which is OK. We are living in a time where the soul is choosing its vibratory home.

With respect, I am deeply considering Catholicism, I have been attending a Catholic Church for a few months and studying her history etc and I rarely listen to protestant teachings and sermons these days compared to the Catholic apologists like Jimmy Akin and Trent Horn. I have been a protestant for a number of years and from my experience protestant churches (atleast the one's I've been to) put a good emphasis on fellowship and brotherhood, there is usually lots of prayer, sermons, and fellowship right after (that last for hours) and this goes on twice a week with team evangelism on the weekend (unless we planting a church in another city) The Catholic Church I have been attending lasts for about 30 minutes, prayers, liturgies, eucharist and a 5-10 minute talk. At the end of the service there is no fellowships, no evangelism (again anecdotal), everyone turns around and walks out the door, I even talked to a brother who has been attending his Catholic church for over 10 years and never read the bible.

The Mass is not a social club. After the mass is finished, they leave the house of God and do their socialising elsewhere.

Mass is not 30 minutes long, it's at the very least 45 minutes to an hour long. And depending on your parish, the first Friday of the month is dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, so there should be Eucharistic Adoration, if not all day. But I will give you that there aren't too many ministries after mass or after other church services. But it also depends on which parish you attend, because although yours or mine doesn't have too many ministries. There are other parishes that have a lot more ministries. And that's because they're in more affluent neighborhoods where they have the resources for all of that and more. And I should know because from time to time I have explored those other parishes. Even if they're very far away from me I will go and check them out. Because it's good to see what other parishes are doing to get some ideas on what we can do for our own. But I do understand the frustration and disappointment with seeing the lack of formation and education that a lot of our parishes have. But I think this is why it's important that people like you - converts and reverts or those who are discerning - should come into the church. Because we need you all to revitalize the church and to bring your gifts into it. Y'know as a Catholic revert, what I admire about Protestants is that they unabashedly share their faith at large with masses with no fear or embarrassment. And they know how to evangelize the masses and bring them into the faith. So, it would be great if we could all be under one church and continue to grow in formation.

I empathise; old convert here. Yes, one of the weaknesses of the Catholic church is very poor on "fellowship". I suspect (I could be wrong) this is historical & cultural. In the days of 'Christiandom' - when entire country (Kings attended Mass), cities, villages, families were all Catholic, socialising was all family and neighbours, church was liturgical worship only. It is today, when few go to church (of any sort), that people want to socialise with fellow Christians. Even within Catholicism, we find pockets, not just by ethnicity and language (this is what happens with worship in the vernacular, we now have ethnic parishes; 70 years ago, the Mass was Latin and everyone of every race just attends). There's also pockets of 'liberals' vs 'traditionalists' - not by segregation, but due to topics they talk about, music listened to, etc.
Evangelisation is a strange one. If you read up Church history, you find it was Catholic missionaries who went to every nation on earth to spread the faith, were martyred, made huge sacrifices. And yet today, maybe because there's a church in every country including Mongolia, that evangelisation has somewhat died down. Not totally; Pope JPII called for a New Evangelisation, ironically of Europe, because of apostasy and the rise of new paganism.
Having said all that, true worship is the Mass; singing, sermons, etc support that, but is not in itself worship. If you find a Mass of 30 minutes, I'll bet you it's a sloppy McMass drive thru. I go to a solemn Novus Ordo (English); even the weekday Mass, no incense, no music, is 50 minutes. Sunday - incense, hymns, organ - 90 minutes. If you can, church shop (sadly, not all priests are good) for a good Novus Ordo. But if you can, explore the Traditional Latin Mass. That may be a deep dive for a newbie. Maybe explore online initially - St John Cantius in Chicago is beautiful. Then read the English-Latin side by side. You'll be blown away by the reverence of the prayers; every ancient, every new.
And beyond Trent Horn, etc, widen the research to Drs Brant Pitre, John Bergsma, Scott Hahn, Frs Chad Ripperger, Vincent Lampert, Thomas Dufner, Kirby, Charles Pope (yes real name), Michael O'Conner, Chris Alar. May God bless you on your journey. Stick with it, it's worth it.

Catholic Churches are a bit like universities. They all have their own culture, though the lessons are the same. The parish that I attend is very different in character from the parish ten miles down the road. My parish is in a smaller town. People dress up to attend Mass. Though we do not have the Traditional Latin Mass, we do pray some portions of the Mass in Latin. There is a thriving Catholic school with many young families. We sing more traditional music, and have a cello at some masses and a choir at others. Coffee and donuts is popular after Mass. In contrast, the parish down the road is very casual. All of the music is modern. The crowd seems to be older. Though it is a larger parish, it feels much less vibrant. A general observation I've made is that the more traditional a parish is, the more lively. I get the sense that people who are attracted to the traditional are more serious about their faith whereas it seems that people just go through the motions elsewhere. I pray you find a vibrant community where you feel at home.

This really depends from parish to parish, go around and try to find one that suits your needs. Mass is for worship but after that you can go around and try to talk with people if you want.
Masses on Sundays are usually around 1-1:30 hour long, while weekdays masses are usually shorter.
A good thing is that where you see some problems you can help to fix them!

When I was a catholic I was empty and never had a relationship with God. Mass was always boring and never fulfilled. The moment I left the church I found a Bible believing church and was born again. I was never the same. All these people you mentioned who are becoming Catholics aren’t spirit filled people. My focus remains on Christ and not an institution.

What i see in the comments are so many people claiming Mary brought them to the church and the catholic church is true and how the saints or an apparition brought them to the church ? Yet no one seems to come out and say they were brought to repentance by the Holy Spirit and they are now following Christ .
So a lot of people are joining the roman Catholic church but what I do not see is people claiming Christ in their lives just the church.
Too much false beliefs in the roman Catholic church for me to believe THE Church is the answer whereas Christ is who we are to focus on .

The new converts and reverts followed Jesus Christ into the Church that He established in Matthew 16:18-19. His Holy Spriit brought them here. We Catholics claim Our Lord and focus on Him. Every time that we receive Him in the Holy Eucharist, we are having the most amazing, intimate experience that a person can possibly have. There is nothing more intimate than receiving Him - Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity in the Eucharist. We repent of our sins when we confess them to a priest in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
