      *Gayle Sayers
I don't care as much about stats as most folks. Walter, Gayle & OJ had no OL, QB or a deep threat WR to back off the safeties. At least Barry had Herman Moore. Emmett had it all, but he kept his body in shape, he stayed hungry. Jim Brown was a freaking monster lol he was bigger than the LBs but think of all the other sports he played like lacrosse.

I counted 6 rec TDs (in 1975??) which in today's standard is an All Pro RB with the requisite rushing yards. His gift was his full speed hesitation shift while in a forward motion. Somewhat hard to explain but no other RB I've seen has that style. Adrian Peterson had a "mini" version of it but nothing like OJ.

I hate to think OJ ‘s life had to be destroyed and his achievements as a legendary football player trashed when he wasn’t guilty. Critical evidence was kept out of the courtroom as was the nefarious activities Nicole and Ron were involved in. Skin under Nicole’s nails didn’t match OJ’s and was never identified.

The Bills and Colts burned out the scoreboard in 1975, 38-31 and 45-38. How unfortunate for Buffalo that such a good season was not enough to reach the playoffs, sharing the East with Baltimore and Miami and the Bengals taking the Wild Card.

...they censored my last post. Let's just say... OJ Simpson was something very special... if a fella played ball? No matter what level? He welcomed him into his circle. And on Simpson and going to "Hollywood"? Ultimately---bad match for both.

O.J. had one of the prettiest running styles in the NFL. My favorite run of his, was when he slipped, got back up and kept on running. An all-time great!

To this day, O.J. is still one of the four greatest backs in NFL history, in my mind. Only Jim Brown, Walter Payton, and Barry Sanders are ahead of him. He didn't have the spectacular moves of a Sanders or a Sayers, and he didn't have the overwhelming power of a Jim Brown or Earl Campbell, but he had great balance, unusual vision, and blazing, game-changing, world-class speed. For those who didn't get to see him at his peak, you missed an incredible treat.

O.J. was a great cut back runner with speed and moves. He would always make guys miss when they tried to tackle him in the open field!! Awesome running back! R.I.P.

The juice! I'm a bears fan and walter payton fan. The duel between these two men in 1976 and 1977 is etched in my mind as the greatest time for running backs.
