Just wanted to let you and your husband know you're video on installation and backwash of the water filtration pump help understand about the pump. Thank you for making this videos. Thanks.
I don't know why I watch your pool videos when I don't have a pool! But it's so soothing watching you do anything! And the landscape is beautiful and calming as well!
wow I have really learned alot from u, i have a 18X 52 Intex used 3 seasons and it fell this year everything was rusted, and the poles are selling for 49.00 on amazon so i am going with 22X52 coleman
You gotta get a vacuum with a baggy. We have the same set up, but our vacuum has a mesh bag inside. So the mesh bag catches all the big pieces and prevents the hose/intake from getting clogged. Also the intex brand connects to the little aqua colored attachment without popping off. You just gotta push it on firmly! I enjoy watching your videos!
When the kids aren't arguing and screaming in the pool. LOL. It is so lush. I love Louisiana for all the rain, it helps this mermaid. Thank you Bethany and Sairose (sp?) Hope you can come swim soon.
@@Bellavanacoffee we just installed an intex 16×48 xtr ultra round pool with 2100 gph sand filter can you tell me what vacuum system you have we have the two outlets and the one inlet on pool as yours GREAT VIDEO THANKS IN ADVANCE FROM CHICAGO!!
I AM KAZIE the vacuum head is linked below the video in the description box. I also linked a full vacuum set up but it’s not the same as mine. You only need a head, hose and a pole. You got this! Thanks for watching and subscribe!
I got a intex 2500 gph cartridge filter for my 15 ft pool im gonna have to get a intex deluxe maintenance kit because the scoba vac is rated only for 1000 gph filter
I highly reccomend getting a sand filter. I want to get an auto vaccum this year....happy swimming! we got a new pool this year so..hope you subscribe and stay tuned!
@@Bellavanacoffee im definitely subscribed however with my 2500 pump im using the orange Peatco cartridge i did the same thing last year and the water was so clear and polished looking like a diamond
Thank you for posting this video. It is very informative. (And in my opinion the best I've seen looking through quite a bit before I found you) We just got a new intex pool our old one is now out to pasture. (It was a 2012 model and held up Fantastically and we used a cartridge filter) This is my 1st time using a sand filter pump and wasn't sure how I would vaccum using it. I generally clean and vacuum the pool as you do, skimming on a near daily basis and vacuuming once a week. I do have a few question though. When you vacuum on the filter position do you clean out that basket thing? Do you backwash? If so how often on both while you vacuum the pool? Sorry for being long winded and if you answer me thank you in advance. 😊
Thank you kindly! Yes just checking your pool and skimming often is good. I need a real skimmer. I have one still...I need to try to set it up again. I have started vac on filter more often than in this video where I used "waste" a lot. But it has rained a lot here again and if I am going to drain the pool a little anyway, I will vac on waste. I guess i was afraid to suck all that stuff through my sand when I could just send it out..but a lot of things get caught if you try to vac pine needles etc. I have a filter on my intake so I have to check that often and remove the gunk that gets trapped and always keep the other flow open as well. I backwash after vacc. and then rinse. just about 30 seconds for each..maybe a minute but thats a lot of water loss. disclaimer I am just a girl figuring this out. I am no professional. LOL. This year we got a new pool, and I got all new sand almost 3 bags! so I am running with the right amount of sand for the first time too. I am hoping for success. Hope you come check out this season's videos so far. ~Dani
I skipped your question completely. The pump basket? I only clean that if I see a lot of stuff in there (and I rarely see anything in there) I am a bit obsessive about the pool. If I can't get it level, I am gonna have it sparkling and without any chemicals. I think that would be superhuman. LOL. Thanks
HI - Glad to find your channel. What kind of vacuum system did you buy? Also, where are y'all located that you've been able to use your pool already this year? I'm hoping to use mine next week! (filling it now - yay!)
Hmmmm it came with the pump. I’m really not sure of the size it’s all the same seems to be about an inch in diameter maybe less I’m sorry I don’t know the measurements I know pool stuff is hard to find right now. Do you know without the hose you can still just shoot it right out of that end of the pump.....
@@Bellavanacoffee I think I'll get a few and hope one fits. Thank you for taking the time to reply. I just upgraded my pool filter and knew that I would find all the answers to my questions on your posts. They're so thorough. I watched the 2 filter setup videos about 4 times. I'm so grateful for all the help! You have no idea. :)
I think its 5 1/2! and THEN it rained again about half that much. We do not want for rain here. I love it. My own little jungle. I am going to show the "river" that flows through the property when we get heavy rain in the garden tour video to come soon. It is pretty neat. I am also doing a "raised bed" style that I havent done in awhile to help with all the rain we get. Thanks Bev!
you can just vaccum with the filter running and it will filter through. Most people do it that way, I am wierd with my waste filtering.....it does waste water if you pool isnt over full from rain.
When it starts beeping, this only means the water isn`t flowing to the pool, and it`s okay. It`s made to alert you that pump isn`t getting enough water, and that the salt cell and pump can overheat. If the pump is getting water and your backwashing or vacuuming to waste, ignore that alarm. If you don`t rinse your sand, some of the dirt may come back into the pool, because when you are doing backwash, water is flowing through that part where the functions are, and it always gets a little dirty. Backwash is putting water flow in opposite direction. Rinsing is doing the same as filter, water flow is coming in the same direction as on filter mode, but it`s going out. OMG, I really got typing. Bye, and enjoy your day
Sorry. Mine came with a little blue screw on part that connects to the hose, (still slips off what a pain) Here is this years video and I do show the part. ua-cam.com/video/58K2RwYe1k4/v-deo.html
