This is crazy haha, I have a B8 A4 because I couldn’t find a good B8.5 S4 at the moment, I’m thinking about getting another car next year and my options where B8.5 S4 or S5 and B9 S4, but after watching this video I think the B9 is the way to go, I love the B8.5 specially the exterior and the supercharger wine, but I think the interior of the B9 and the ZF 8 speed is a huge upgrade, RS3 could be an option but is just too small I think but what a monster

Oof, that stock intercooler is holding you back! Cant wait to see what if does after some simple bolt ons. Even tho im 034 tuned, IE is a great company with great products.

Great videos man super informative and to the point! I just ordered my IE tune and am real excited to test it out! So it says on the website that it comes with the tcu tune but on the tuner it asks for credits am I going to need to buy credits?
The basic Stage 1 TCU is included to unlock the additional torque you'll make. To achieve the same level of performance I have you'll need to pay for the Stage 2 TCU which unlocks the full potential of the transmission.

Those are the most anti-climactic dyno pulls with the stock exhaust being so quiet haha. Numbers are great and can’t wait to hear it with an exhaust/downpipe in the future
Nice vid bro. I can give you a bit help. When you measure 1/4 or 100-200 change the gears at 6k rpm. You will have much better times. With my tunes from 034 it makes huge diff. Cant wait for your next vid💪💪
@@halfhappy117 if i shift my own at 6k the 1/4 is around 11.8 187km if the car does it its around 11.9 and 182. 100-200 the car shift 10.3 when i shift the best 9.7. I own dragy so i know it. And this engine has already the max power almost at 4.5k so shifting at 6k doesnt kill the car
Thank you very much for the recommendations, but I'll be leaving the shifting in the hands of Integrated Engineering's calibrators. I'll only be shifting it on my own if I notice faults in their programming.
What that with the credits? You need to pay to get them? What if I want to flash my car back and force every year before smog check, I will have to pay for the extra credits?
You can flash back and forth to stock without paying for it. If you own stage 2 for example you own all the tunes under it. Stage 2 > stage 1 > stock, for example.
You'll see E40 and E85 numbers together in an upcoming video as well. Sadly I couldn't do all 4 together on the same day because I couldn't book in enough time on the dyno that day.
Sadly you'll never see that on my channel. I'll never use a 034 product on any of my cars. Hopefully someone else is able to provide that data for you.

I have a B8 that picked up over 100whp with just a tune (also mustang calibration on the same dyno). As the B9 is newer and mechanically far superior to my B8 I was expecting your gains with the same mods to be more than half mine were. I was hoping to see 80-100whp gain. But as I mentioned, I’m excited for the draggy runs cause dyno numbers don’t tell the whole story!

The best I ran in my B8 S4 with full bolt on's, full weight, Stage 1 93 was an 11.80 without trying on the street. Next video I'm headed out to do my first set of runs with these tunes, full weight and no bolt on's. I'm willing to bet I run the same or quicker with my B9, but only time will tell!!!

Torque will make the car quicker from a dig and in the lower part of the rev range. Ex. my best friend has an M2 comp. and puts down almost 100 ft lbs more torque than me…I put down about 50whp more than him….our cars are close until about 130 km/h but after that I walk away from him pretty easily. Our cars are both 6 speed manuals and my S4 is about 300 pounds heavier…yet still far quicker with way less torque.
@@stevegivelas9769 you try and get as close to a 1:1 as you can, but in some new cars with 8 or 9 gears you chose 4th instead of 5th because in 5th you're going way too fast on the dyno.

I am sure you are mistaken here. Supercharged is definitely more heat, all 3.0 supercharged owners cannot stand the heat issue above 500hp. Here for B9 - heat is not the issue at all, even on 700+hp mark. Ohh 3.0 B8 cannot go that high on HP numbers.
Lol. First off you're 1000% wrong about the supercharger making less heat. B8's biggest downfall is the heat they generate and the performance loss they suffer from rising IAT's. Secondly, you are correct about the B8 making larger hp gains on just a tune at a Stage 1 pump gas leve than a B9. The thing is that in a B9 the engine hits harder than a B8's motor because of the insane torque. I'm willing to bet money that I go quicker with my B9 with just a tune on pump gas than I did with my B8 with multiple bolt on's and making more horsepower on a Stage 1 pump gas tune. You'll find out on the next video if I'm right or not.
@@FJB2020 to each your own. Both of those things are subjective. I personally prefer the look of the B9 over the B8.5. I also prefer the calmer demeanour of the B9's sound. B8's scream away and whine in your face and while doing so don't go as quick or as fast as B9's do on the average.
Horsepower sells cars, torque wins races. B8 might make more horse power which is cool for all the kids at timmies to hear on a friday night, but B9's make more torque. Stage 1 B8 tune from unitronic is making 350 ish wheel tq, a B9 S4 is almost making that bone stock. To even get near the torque the B9 pulled from a stage 1 from a B8 you literally need to goto stage 3, and a stage 3 B9 S4 is making insane levels of power, look up IE's latest 1/4 ... 9.8 @ 140 mph is no joke IE can push over 500hp and almost 600tq on a stock turbo, you would never get that from a B8 without doing some serious upgrades, real talk. The stock S/C would blow apart if you tried pushing those #'s
So IE says on there website 450 for stage 1 93 octane hp which is obviously not wheel HP and your getting 350 aprox to the wheel.?? Wow, thats a huge 100 hp drive train loss to the wheels.😮😮
IE's website reads 446hp at the crank & if you click on the box above their dyno graph chart, it shows 388whp at the wheels. This dyno showed 355whp at the wheels on their 93 octane file on an extremely low reading dyno. This falls in line perfectly with what they advertise, seeing as dynos don't all read the same. Especially considering the performance tests I did showed how fast the car actually was.
@@VancityAudiok, now that makes sense. Got my IE Stage 1 93 yesterday for my 2018 SQ5 and car is a totally different animal now. Its amazing just by a flash tune and stock internals how much gains are achieved.

So far my B9 is vastly superior to my B8. Everything just feels better now that it's tuned.

Unitronic has the world's quickest and fastest cars on a stock ECU in the RS3 world. I'm perfectly happy with where I am.

Sadly I've never used an IE tune on an DWNA RS3. What I can say is that every tune I have used in my B8 & B9 from IE has been spectacular.

When you dyno car it is in what gear ? 1:1 gear?
