    While I am running 034 and they don’t have a tune without hfpf for stage 3, I can Appreciate IE making tunes available for those who still don’t have a hpfp yet installed, really adds to the suspense of building your car part by part

    The B9 has so much potential. I should trade my CREC powered Q7 for a TRU V6T Q7 and put a TTE710 on it, lol. On the TT710 93 run, what was the boost pressure and timing versus the e85 stock turbo boost pressure and timing?

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  2 роки тому

      Not sure if you were serious or just joking, haha. There are no calibrations for the Q7 yet so you'd have to go with custom tuning if that's what you wanted to do. As for the peak timing advance and boost I don't share that stuff seeing as IE has gone to extensive lengths to perfect their tuning of this turbo. Other customers may happily share that info, but I don't think it is fair to. I can tell you that my peak timing is less than a 1/4 of what I saw with the stock turbo on E65 then I did with the TTE710 on their pump gas tunes.

    • @pearl04tl
      @pearl04tl 2 роки тому

      @@VancityAudi Thank you for taking the time to reply. It was just a joke since the Q7 doesn't really fit into the tuner category, hence not much aftermarket support. However, and IMO, a TTE710 Q7 does sounds like a tempting build. A family sleeper SUV that would be an unexpected rival on the drag strip to an SQ7.
      When asking the question I didn't think of the "proprietary" aspect of boost and tuning values. I appreciate the ratio value of "25 %". This provides a ball-park idea that hints at the potential of the B9 3.0T platform coupled to a TTE710 and that the vehicle configuration is barely breaking a sweat (except for the OE fuel system). I've recently started researching some TTE options for my B5 S4 since they are highly regarded with making some seriously powerful and reliable turbochargers.

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  2 роки тому

      @@maxpetruccelli5444 well to give a bit more info they usually calculate the hp ratings at the crank on this dyno with a 25% drivetrain loss with how low it reads. Plus now that I have around 40whp more than the Stage 2 E85 tune AND that power gain is right where I need it, I'd say you can expect atleast a 2mph gain in the 1/4 mile.

  • @dirk5950
    @dirk5950 2 роки тому +1

    Good stuff. I think it would have been easier to see the curve on that last graph (stock turbo E85) if you would have dropped the TTE 91 run. With 3 runs on there it's hard to see the power/tq differences with all of them running into each other. Excited to see what this runs now at the strip.

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  2 роки тому +4

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  2 роки тому +2

      Once you see my 1/4 mile times I bet you'll be changing your mind. Dyno tests tell you VERY little about the true daily drivability of a car.

    • @voop00p
      @voop00p 2 роки тому

      @@VancityAudi I look forward that video! Even then I believe the stock turbo always has the advantage of better down low torque. Supposedly the TTE710 makes better torque down low than the TTE810. That's the main tradeoff with going with a "bigger" turbo: low down torque vs higher/broader power band.

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  2 роки тому +1

      @@voop00p Well you are certainly correct there. If all you are concerned about is max torque down low, no aftermarket, larger turbo will improve that. A Stage 2 E65 tune will make some serious torque down low versus what any upgraded turbo can make. You just lose all that power after 5400rpm. To each their own!

    Not many people can swallow that pill Adam. All they care about is the #s on a dyno. I will probably never dyno my S4.
    Numbers on a dyno can vary greatly from one to the next, but ET and trap speed wont change that drastically at your strip.
    Granted, a track in Colorado vs sea level will have variations, but at you local track, you should be consistant.
    Last car i had made 500 on one dyno, then without changing anything, made 550 on another.
    Ran the same speed and ET at the strip though.

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  2 роки тому

      Exactly! Dyno's are meant for before and after testing on the same day. They aren't meant to compare to one another in different parts of the world using different fuels, on different brand dynos in different ambient conditions.
      Yes, racing in different conditions will also greatly affect your performance. I'm referring to what the car will accomplish at sea level in like 0 to 1000DA.

  • @SixDasher
    @SixDasher Місяць тому

    My Stage2 does 414whp with stock turbo, pretty flat to about 5500rpm then it dies off. Lots of money to just have power in the high revs while losing 30% torque down low. I would have thought you would get close to 550-600bhp with a big turbo to compensate for the lag at the bottom.

    • @VancityAudi
      @VancityAudi  Місяць тому

      You can't compare dyno results from one dyno to another, from one part of the world to another. It doesn't work like that. In this video I was showing Mustang dyno numbers, which are INCREDIBLY low. If I had shown you the Dynojet calibration numbers instead, it would have been roughly 500whp & 500wtq.
