what's your favourite book by a trans author? i just want to point out that Alexis Hall (the author of Boyfriend Material) isn't actually (to my knowledge) trans - i misread 'genrequeer' in his bio as 'genderqueer' - sorry!!
i absolutely adored rwrb, & i'm looking forward to reading one last stop! i haven't started reading i wish you all the best, but that's the next book i wanna read tbh so we'll see how i like it!
thank you!! and that's so true!! i meant to say something about the lack of trans feminine voices in publishing in the video but completely forgot! i'll definitely be trying to seek out more!
@@sapphoslibrary me myself can barely think of any - beside juno Dawson, and a few nonfiction writers - its a terribly underrepresented group unfortunately
it definitely is! i think Akwaeke Emezi is the only other one i can think of. as well as Meredith Russo, although I'm hesitant to support her as she's an abusor ://
@@sapphoslibrary aw yeah i know about meredith russo unfortunately. Akwaeke emezi wrote a book about a trans girl but they themselves (afaik) are not transfeminine. Now that im glancing on my goodreads i think Rahul Kanakia is tho!

You can tell my brain is not working today by the brief moment of me going “wait, Aiden Thomas has a new book?!” when you mentioned it... despite the book literally being right beside me 😂 so many good books in this video though, they’re all ones I either LOVED or am very excited to read
I’m obsessed with your earrings😍 also, it’s my birthday tomorrow and I know my sister has ordered A Dark and Hollow Star for me, and hearing you talk about it so highly has got me so excited to read it!
i haven't read so many of these !! i really wanna expand & diversify my bookshelf so maybe by the end of the year, i'll be done with most of these ( i hope !! ) anyway this was rlly helpful :D thank uuuu for the recommendations!
I have only read Red, White and Royal Blue from this book and I wasn't a fan but maybe their next book will work better for me. The others look so good, especially Felix Ever After!
I loved reading Cemetery Boys earlier this year and I just bought A Dark and Hollow Star once I saw it in your video! Everything I’ve heard about it sounds like it’ll be right up my lane.
Anything by Sam Farren is really good as well!! Sam is an non-binary author who writes a lot of fantasy novels. I really enjoyed starting with their first series (dragonoak) and reading all their books in order because, while dragonoak is incredible, is so fun to watch how they grow as an author and how their books just get better and better. A note, though, if you’re bothered by typos/grammar mistakes you might have a hard time getting through their early stuff because they’re self published and the editing isn’t great BUT as you get to their more recent stuff it gets better as you go! I cannot recommend their books enough.
