you can check the sensor itself. it's just a wire loop. or oftentimes the connection is bad. had to use contact spray on those before and sometimes also bent the contacts.
Doesn’t work on i3 , thickness is 6mm so enough , but service message remains that I have to change them in 4000 kms ( have done 45000 kms with the original still on the car) but message is annoying every day
that's when the troubleshooting begins. I'd try to do a battery reset before anything though. did you change your brake wear sensor and made sure the contacts are ok?
I guess I could but that would be quite extensive since I'd have to change a lot with that and it's overall not worth it given the market value of the car and my driving profile. definitely a cool feature to have though
that's interesting. the braking system should be the same across F10 and F01 other than rotor sizes. try again lol and if it doesn't work there might be a connection problem.
If you did it like shown it should work. If it doesn't work you can try the dealership or someone with a tester to reset it. If it still doesn't work there seems to be an electrical problem. Might be the new sensor is defective or not connected properly (happened to me before).

@@jcranetx66 if the sensor is damaged then yea, gotta be replaced and reset it afterwards. I'm sure you got it all cleaned by now
