I have had most of Canon’s DSLRs since the original 30D. Last year I took all my full frame Canons to my local camera store plus every lens except my 75-300 and bought the M6 MKII. It is an incredible camera for stills and video. I have every Canon M series lens except the macro and got the EFL to EFM adapter to use with my 75-300. The detail and color is the best I have ever seen and even at high ISO the noise is acceptable.
I just upgraded from M6 mark 2 to eos-r and I’m quite happy with my decision.
I would pick eos RP now from both of them just because lenses and upgrade perspective. Crop sensor cameras have few good lenses as well. I used Sigma 16mm f 1.4 and adapted sigma 18-35 f1.8, but I find eos-r with kit 24-104mm f4 lens more versatile for me for travel photo/video and UA-cam videos.
Getting back fully articulated screen is great :) I used that before on SL2 and missed on m6M2
Did you have the Canon 32mm 1.4 or Sigma 56mm 1.4 lenses (EF-M mount)? They're as sharp as using a considerably more expensive RF lens on the EOS R. They also help with the low light differences between APS-C and FF.
Having said that, I'd go with an EOS R for sure if I decided to get a FF camera. Right now I can't see any reason to as I'm not seeing an IQ benefit. I shoot in normal light or with lighting if in poor light. At night I shoot on a tripod and at low ISOs.
Aivars Meijers wow that’s interesting, I had the SL2 before and I sold it and now I’m looking for a new camera are you loving the Eos R? What things did you love about it? Compared to the 18-35mm I guess the convenience is way better
@@cooloox sigma 56 is average Bokeh at best, a failure as a portrait lens. Sharpness isn't everything. Also newly announced 85IS f2 has IS and 1:2 macro for $599, plus 35RF is a great two lenses combo. 22mm 32mm plus sigma 56 are the best trio on efM mount but still, the value of Eos M mount lenses are just poor, truth to be told.
@@frankluo230 That's your "opinion". The 56mm is a winner "for me" and the bokeh is absolutely fine. I even use it for street photography. The lens AF has no issues keeping up with fast moving subjects at 14fps too, so it's a great all-rounder lens.
I'm not sure what country you are in, but in Australia the RF lenses are generally super expensive and the M lenses relatively cheap. The 2 RF lenses you mentioned are very reasonably priced. The 22mm is just over AUD $200 (USD $140), the 32mm on special was AUD $673 (USD $467) and the Sigma 56mm was AUD $479 (USD $332) on special. The RF 85mm f/2 is AUD $1100 and the RF 35mm 1.8 is AUD $729. They are very cheap for RF glass as most RF lenses here go well into the thousands of dollars. Having said that, I still got the 3 M lenses for less than the price of the 2 RF "budget" lenses.
For the M6II, use a Peak Design tripod/mount plate because the screw hole is elongated, allowing you to place the plate off center a bit. Then you’ll be able to open the battery door no problem with the plate on.
Yep, this is what I have on mine
Really great review - entertaining, articulate, well paced, and no fat whatsoever in the scripting - great work! This is what every camera review on UA-cam should be like.
I had the RP with lots of rf glass but "downgraded" to the eos m6 mk2 as i no longer do any sort of professional photo work and wanted something that could still perform really great, and also be the compact do-all body that i was hoping the RP could have been for me.
Certainly loving the little M6, but i will miss the RP, it gets a lot of unnecessary hate from some of the pro mirrorless community but that thing is possibly the best bang for buck mirrorless full frame you can get as of today.
I literally was searching for a video like this last week. tyty!
OMG- this is EXACTLY the information I needed. Going with the RP due to low light needs. Your delivery and the other facts you bring in are SO helpful! I just subscribed. Thank you for your work!
The M6 II has less read noise than the RP. When you use exactly the same lens(for example telescope), the M6 II could possibly outperform the RP very slightly regarding noise from objects in low-light conditions despite many more pixels per object. If you use a different lens that produces the same field of view, but has the same effective diameter, then the M6 II will be even noticeably better in low-light conditions due to less read noise. The M6 II will also have a much better shadows performance at base Iso.
"you use the camera as a normal person" hahaha we love when you make comments like that
Outstanding review. Clear concise outline of use case and camera capabilities. Thank you I just ordered a mark 6
Hi Hyun, I just stumbled upon this video for the second time. I watched it 2 months ago. No idea why, but I enjoyed it more the 2nd time and I think everything you said was pretty much spot on. Great video!
I was missing your videos. Your taste for darks on your vlogging shot is outstanding. Reminds me of Da Vinci paintings. Nice.
Hi Hyun great video. In regards to touching the bottom icons when the screen is up if you make sure the back of the screen is still touching the camera when you tilt it you can tilt it a little and make it able to touch the bottom icons. It's only a couple of millimeters but it works.
Very informative video Ralph!
Interesting and well thought test, thank you.
I love your videos. They're vey informative!
Hey your reviews are really good. You mention the key factors which while important, other revviewers just miss, like the RP not having access to good AF shooting 4K.
Thanks for the review about the touchscreen and flipping issues on the M6 II. It was helpful.
Great video. Really helpful
Thank you for considering photography for the differences in these two cameras
I like how professional you are in your review and delivery of the information. Thank you 🙏🏼
Great video! Something is up with the closed captions tho. They’re hilarious
Love the M6 MKii - I sold my X100V to get it and haven’t looked back.
Very impressive video with no bs. Great job
Great video bro. The m6 mark ii has been a game changer for me. I have literally gotten a super cinematic image out of this camera when paired with the sigma 18 to 35mm. I shot some music videos on my channel called "The world is Yours" and "Hindsight" if anyone is curious.
RP + newly announced 85IS macro lens would be a killer combo for budget portrait shooter
Phenomenal video. Taught me a ton, thank you sir :)
Nice fair review. The sigma lens on the M mount are great addition.
I have the M6 MKII and that little thing its impresive! the 120fps is gorgeous!
I have an M6 Mark II, and my dad has an EOS RP... and yeah, they are extremely similar, but dad can use his old EF lenses. I much prefer the M6 due to how light and portable it is, allowing me to keep it on me all day even on hikes and be ready to grab the pictures that I want, with the EF-M lenses being very light and portable as well. That being said, it's a bit sad that I can't use any of the lenses if I decide to upgrade to a full frame later... but that's also what's saving my wallet, so it's both a pro and a con.
Do u connect trigger 🤔 on M6 mark ii.. like when u shooting at studio?
I am looking to a M6 II in 2023 for two reasons.
1. It's the end of the line. No more M cameras going forward.
2. the improved, 32Mpix sensor
3. The most Mpix for the EF-M32/1.4 lens.
Finally, you are the best.♥️
Thank you for this very useful video
I picked the M6 Mark ii for the speed. I shoot a lot of MMA events and boxing events so the speed is exactly what I need and the auto focus is awesome.
@Hyun Ralph Jeong what camera did you use to shoot this video? Nice work!
Very nice and useful content. Thanks! I have a question for you, will appreciate if you can share your thoughts based on your experience and understanding. I have been using a Canon full frame entry level Camera - Canon 5D that I had bought in 2006, it still works but has started showing old age problems. Hence I need to get a new Camera and I want to get another full frame Canon but not the expensive ones. So my choices are now between a Canon 6D Mark -II and Canon EOS RP primarily based on their affordable prices. M6 Mark II is ruled out because it does not have a view finder. So, between the two ( Canon 6D Mark -II and Canon EOS RP) which one will you recommend to someone who has been a full frame camera user for long and knows a thing or two about photography. I am not professional but photography has been a serious hobby and I mostly shoot landscape and travel photos. Thank you in advance.
Im trading an inherited 5ds to a m6. Auto focus has always been a pet peve of mine and im happy to get a high end camera I'll be able to use without white glove service. Thanks for the comparison and btw you look like Rick Yune 😉
I had this debate yesterday and ended up ordering the RP as a second body to back up the R5 which will get here some day. If I had seen your video first would have made the decision easier than it ended up being. The key driver in the end was committing to RF lenses.
A very good review. You are good. Thank you.
3-2021 I have a Canon 5D Mark II and I want mirrorless like the Canon M50 Mark II. But I really value and appreciate the full frame sensor of my 5D Mark II. Now that I've watched 3 of your videos comparing full frame to crop sensor I can't do crop sensor, I need full frame or at least I am used to full frame of my 5D Mark II. I mainly shoot still life flower n foliage photos so the crop sensor would not be so bad but I love the bokeh oh so much better on full frame.
Still waiting for the m50 mark II hopefully with upgrades 4K AND real 4K with crop as this helps with video macro shots I do sometimes.
The RP just is not interesting, have for my m50 the sigma efm 16mm and it’s a great combo.
I have the 5DIV and the M6 Mark II. Both excellent cameras. The image quality of the 5DIV is awesome....unquestionable, but, the weight and size for outdoors is deal breaker. So..the M6 Mark II is much smaller, lighter and the image quality is good for an APS-C sensor...it will depend on the lens you use. But...again, the M6 form factor is excellent.
I can use ma X2Tc trigger on m6 mark 2?
Sadly I think maybe the m6 mk ii is the better option. When you consider the fact that with a speedboster adapter you can essentially get a fullframe factor, 4k without and extra crop, and dual pixel autofocus... If you're okay by using an adapter to use ef lenses and the less ergonomic body I think the m6 mkii is the better choice.
you'll may get the full frame field of view but not the full frame performance but yes the speedbooster is a great tool to have.
We dislike the whole process of switching batteries when we have the camera on the tripod or the gimbal.
So good point there
For the M6II, use a Peak Design tripod/mount plate because the screw hole is elongated, allowing you to place the plate off center a bit. Then you’ll be able to open the battery door no problem with the plate on.
Thanks very useful.
Very good points ..
4:27 😆 right!? Great video.
Just Buy Both!
Thanks for this review. I am in that process of deciding whether to buy the RP, M6II or M50II and your video has been a great help and well presented. Cheers.
Dont get the m50 ii the m50 is just as good its a software update (more or less)
This is really interesting 🤔
Hey man, really informative video. Yes, You made a great review about Dynamic range in simple words. Lol. Help me out here, I’ve 80D with me which I use for both videos and photos. Is it a worthy upgrade from 80D to Canon RP considering low light performance and over all quality of photos and videos??
Thanks, I'd say if it's "worth upgrading" is totally up to your budget. You'll see better image quality if you heavily edit your photos or if you shoot a lot in higher ISOs, but in good lighting, most cameras are pretty similar nowadays. You're also gonna be paying a lot more for full frame/RF lenses so think about what lenses you might use.
Hyun Ralph Jeong Thanks man ! Make sense. Thanks for sharing the knowledge. Peace.
Great comparison here Ralph, def put a few things on perspective.
Exciting to see what the two new canons are bringing to the table. Though, yes the price will be completely different from the RP
Haha yeah that’s one exciting news in 2020 finally
the M6ii Is 32 mp but on a crop sensor vs 26mp on FF. The pixel density is where the diff comes in
Another difference between full frame vs crop is that even though people talk about "reach" and focal lengths being longer in crop cameras, they're not. Focal length is a property of the lens, not the camera. Putting a wide angle lens on a crop camera won't make it a standard, it will still be a wide angle lens, with the exact same perspective that comes with it, it's just that the image will have a cropped field of view. Something to bear in mind when for example shooting portraits, where focal length has a lot of impact of the face's compression.
I am considering the RP and Nikon Z5. I love the way the RP handles more and I'm used to Canon menus. And the RP is lighter and smaller. However, it seems based on the sample images I see online that the Nikon produces better looking jpegs. Every says how Nikon's dynamic range is better than the Canon's. Also, I do like to crop my pictures. Which do you think will produce better photos with the kit lenses?
I have both. But difference is not really on the camera but lenses available. I have almost every efm lens and still most of them are just ok except the fix lenses like 22mm. Rf lenses are all great oprically if you ignore high price. Both support ef lenes if you like adapter..adding a ef lens to m6 is kind of silly unbalance. To me the rp take much better pics for my usage, great lens and cheap lenses are coming and more future proof.
Hi. How about Sigma lenses for m6 mark ii? Have you used them? What is your opinion is about it?
for a video stand point, the m6ii is the clear winner. for photography, the rp wins
Nice video, RP for me, the full frame sensor feels quite different.
Thanks
One thing regarding the tripod mount: If you use a small arca plate (3cm width) you can open the battery compartment just fine.
I just bought a cage from UUrig for $43.
It has a built in ARCA Swiss slot on the bottom and allows battery access while mounted to a tripod. I really like this cage. A smallrig cage might also work.
Dude, the quality of your videos is off the charts compared with your view count!
I just upgraded from a T7i to an RP and Ef/rf converter recently and love it so far. I hope canon makes aps-c sensor cameras with the rf mount, or an rf-s for crop sensor like with the ef-s mount.
The ef-m mount seems to be dying a slow death, but are good for the ultra portable cameras in the m mount line like the m6II.
Canon’s gotta make a choice. It’s hard to thrive financially with a bunch of different lens mounts the choose and confuse from.
Gremlack13 They did quite well for themselves with the EF/EF-S 2 mount system for their DSLRs and seem to be carrying that philosophy over to their mirrorless lines as well. Unfortunately, given how well they’re doing with the M50 and the RP, they may see no reason to unify their mount.
I replaced my backup Canon 5D MKIII with the M6 MII and could not be more happy especially for the price of €700. With Speedbooster (Metabones or Viltrox) and fast lenses like the Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 and 50-100mm f1.8. I know own a 340mm f2 lens :D (Sigma 150-300mm f2.8 + Metabones 0,71x). I have a fantastic travel cam which even replaced my Canon 5D MK IV in daily use (and even outperforms it in 4k video). Additionally with EF-Lenses and Sigma Converter MC-11 due to the asp-c crop sensor you only use the "sweet spot" of the lens... and all the corner sharpness, vignetting, disturtion problems are gone :D - Just recorded 3 shows - no overheating so far... fingers crossed.
background brur
OK Love the face on the gun test on the M6MII lol
I really like the layout of your videos. Very good information all the time. I have an RP, 6D MII, a 5D MKII, and a M3. I like the big bodies and even though I do not need another, I have to check out what is coming out tomorrow. Take care, good work.
Thanks, so what do you think of the R5 & R6?
Spence Ford which is your favourite camera and lens of all time? Which brings you the most joy to use
I’m trying to shoot sun rises and sun sets also scenery in twilight I was really considering the m6ii but I think eos rp would be better
ad cho tôi lời khuyên tôi dùng để chụp và quay nên mua RP hay M6,ii ạ
When you look at pricepoint is beter to get the RP. You can get the right lenses from the start.
Yup. That's why I got a RP instead.
For general shooting, the RP is better, but I use my camera for birding and the m6 ii has way more megapixels. If you crop the RP to the same amount as the m6 ii, the difference is 32.3 vs 10.2 megapixels or more than triple the number of pixels. The burst speed of the m6 ii is 14 fps vs 5 fps on the RP although the RP destroys the m6 ii in buffer (unlimited). The m6 ii probably has significantly better autofocus too. It is kinda like the mirrorless equivalent of 7d mark ii vs 6d.
The m6 ii is still arguably better for birding than even the new Canon R5 due to the higher megapixels. 17.6 vs 32.3 megapixels.
Great comparison! I think one thing that the EOS M system is great for it's size benefit of the lenses and bodies. Thanks for sharing!
I was desperately looking for a comparison like this last week!
I have a 6D and a EOS M, and I was torn between these two cameras as an upgrade path, primarily for video it sounds like the RP still has the full frame edge in image quality, I would have liked to see more comparisons at iso 1600, or 3200 which is typically the upper limit of where I shoot.
I think you sold the RP when you mentioned heating issues, was that at 1080p? I could see at 4k maybe, but that was one of the things Canon had going for them was that they didnt overheat.
The overheating happens only in 4K. It does get a bit warm in 1080 too but it never stops recording in 1080. Images in 1600 and 3200 shouldn't be too different with reasonable lighting. RP still performs better but it wasn't enough to show the difference so I didn't include it.
Printice White what did u end up getting?
@@LouisLuzuka Neither, but the RP is on sale right now for 7 something refurbished. I'm going to see how low they go. At this rate the r will be in price range soon.
@@printicewhite are u leaning towards R /or RP? Skipping m6 mark ii?
If you want 4K, the much better AF on the M6 is much kore important in my opinion than the ISO advantage. Also no crop on the M6 in 4K.
4:44 lol... Hyun is very patient. i would freak out lol
I wish the canon would create adapter for each camera to share rf and efm lens
Just not possible.
the EFM bayonet has a FFD of 18mm and the RF a FFD of 20mm. So an adapter to use RF Lenses on EFM Mounts must be exactly 2mm which is just not possible cause the bayonet on the rf lens alone is thicker then 2mm. U could make an adapter, but u wouldn't be able to focus to infinity anymore.
To use an EFM Lens on a RF camera the adapter would need to be -2mm and since the EFM Lenses are made for APS-C Sensors it wouldn't really make any practical sense.
The only practical way of using lenses for both EFM and RF is to use EF lenses.
great comparison, would suggest if you could compare this again but with a speedbooster on the m6 perhaps?
I never tried any speed boosters because so far, most of them that I've seen seem to lower the sharpness in images a bit. Do you know of any good ones?
Hyun Ralph Jeong I tried a couple of third party versions and after sharpness and “connection” problems got the Canon one. No discernible image los with my only remaining EFL lens a 75-300
@@HyunRalphJeongi am currently using the viltrox, they work great with my 50 and 85mm on my m100 its a bcam for in tandem with 800d when i try to shoot documentaries. Although its mostly for video use. Hehe
Got the RP 🦋😄
Add a speedbooster and the m6ii is a beast
But it still will have uncomfortable grip and dials. I own one and I know what I am talking about.
@@whyMDO I have UUrig cage for m6 mk2 and it makes it some what bearable to handel. And yes speedbooster with EF adapter makes this thing worthy tool even for pros.
@@KoneStone1 , thanks, man. Thinking of buying such cage.
Caution. Do not buy the Canon M6 Mkii for outdoor daytime photography unless it comes with the EVF DC2 viewfinder. Under bright daylight/sunny conditions, the LCD is useless; can't see a thing!!
I have the viewfinder, but find the screen more than bright enough
I have the m6 mark ii and have never had any issues seeing the screen at day time outdoors.
Hi there! Is the m6 mark ii a better choice if I'll use it mainly for video?
if you want to shoot 4k video then yes. the 4 k video in the rp is crippled bad with no autofocus and 1.7x crop
How would you compare EOS RP to Nikon's Z50?
If I was a photo instructor, I would make it mandatory for my students to shoot film. Something like the Nikon FM2 and a 35 mm lens. Plus I would have them us real light meters. However, when it comes to digital cameras, I would have them purchase something 5 to 10 years old. Something that they can take what they learned from the real film camera to the digital world. Too bad I am a technical instructor working in the petrochemical industry overseas. Yes home is Houston and Las Vegas. Still, it would be fun to teach a photo course.
I don't really know what to choose, I think a mirrorless fullframe camera can be good and canon cameras look very good and budget friendly, eos m5, m6 and rp are good and I don't know what to choose, should I look at sony too? Thanks
i like ur expression when comparing burst rate 5 fps vs 14 fps. It just like a comedy series kind of expression lol 😂
Sigma 16mm f1.4
Canon 22mm f2
Canon 32mm f1.4
Sigma 56mm f1.4
That's a very strong line of prime lenses for "professional" results. I'm a prime lens guy (35mm and 85mm is my way to go) at least for standardish focal lengths, for longer i'd adapt a super telephoto zoom lens, like the sigma 150-600mm, that'd be some damn awesome lenses, and always remember, sell your organs before buying those "good" full frame lenses.
Get any rig cage and speedbooster with EF adapter for M6II and you are good to go. No need for the ef-m lenses.
Great comparison as always. I own both. With my family, I take the M6II with the 22mm in my pocket for videos and the RP with the 85mm for portrait shots. I don't really know how to get over this if I were to buy something like the R6 for the better video quality. Take 2 lenses and constantly swap? Get the 24-70 for a mere $2300? That's $4800 for better video quality and better versatility but slightly worse looking photos at the telephoto end. Yikes.
Haha thanks, it’s a constant struggle finding the perfect camera and lens for everything. I actually like the 24-105 f4 better than 24-70 f2.8. 105mm at f4 seems to take better portraits than 70mm at 2.8.
J I really like that combo 35mm and 85mm did you try out the 100mm or 135mm?
In the hsnds of an experience photographer, any of the two cameras eill give you excellent photos. A FF camera does not automatically give you the advantages. The M6 Mk2 being smaller will give you the opportunity
Thats why literally got the RP, because its small (for "the opportunity").
But im coming from old DSLRs so i guess many smaller cameras are smaller as my DSLRs aswell.
The M6 is more of a higher end "consumer" camera while the RP is more for the ones which really know what they want (and if it fits their usecase)
I personally would always choose good low light performance and 20MP or less over bad low light performance and 30MP+ thats why i was going full frame mainly.
it shuts down at 15 minute mark or 50? sorry i couldn’t get that part
for M6II... i have the smallrig-BUC2627 i have that .
or Audio Technica AT-9912/9911
Wow, I am seeing reasons to not buy a mirrorless camera. I'm happy with my Canon 70D yet, still thinking about upgrading (adding to collection) of the 90D but not the mirrorless newer cameras. What would you do? Or, would you buy a video camera to shoot video most of the time and the 70D when you need that specific lens situation? Years ago, I just couldn't justify the 5D Mark 2 but today these have come down in price. I would love a full frame camera but that would mean purchasing full frame lenses. I shoot as a hobby.
In my opinion the biggest advantage of the fullframe EOS RP is as seen in the video... low light performance. There is just no real competition when it comes to price, ofc the RP is crippled by canon so they sell the higher end models for 2000$+
Next to the "full frame look" the high ISO performance was the reason to finally upgrade to Full Frame since i have anyways only EF lenses (for my until i got the RP only APS-C entry level DSLRs)
Imagine Canon would make the RP with:
- more fps... it would work!
- better AF in 4k video
- the curtain can be closed to protect sensor from dirt while changing lenses
- charging allowed while using the camera
This would make the RP the BEST BEGINNER FULL FRAME CAMERA if the price would be the same. And technically, at least when it comes to hardware it would be possible!
would have purchased m6 mk2 but lack of view finder I moved to fujifilm s-x10
I used both cameras side by side for a month, and chose without hesitation the M6 II. Too many compromises on the RP and I don’t miss the viewfinder. And I LOVE the M-lenses as well the sigma additions. Only thing I miss is the headphone jack, but most of the time I record sound through other devices with headphone monitoring. Interesting thing with the overheating: I never had the camera overheat once in 4k with normal temperatures. Let’s see how it performs during summer.
@Coo Koo Me, personally, I chose the M6 II because of the more advanced 32,5MP sensor, the faster 14fps, faster buffer clearing with UHS-II SD card, three dials with two top dials for thumb and index finger (ISO, aperture and shutter speed) and much more responsive touch interface. The A6400 does have a slightly better AF system, but not significantly so (I use a A6100 at work). It also has a bigger buffer, but clears it more slowly and during clearing you can‘t access important camera settings. You also have a plethora of E-mount lenses to choose from, but the flawless EF to EF-M adapter on the M6 II gives you access to all Canon EF-lenses. Potential deal breaker on the M6 II: No viewfinder (I use the external hot shoe EVF).
On the video side, I would choose the A6400 because of the unlimited recording, S-Log2 and HLG, and the Sony Multi-Interface Hot Shoe for their digital microphones.
Would you recommend it for product photography or the RP? Thanks
Wow the high ISO performance of the RP looks shockingly bad for a full frame sensor. I mean I've heard unfavourable things about the dynamic range but I didn't expect the noise to be so similar to an APS-C sensor with an even higher megapixel count. Add the fact that Sigma has just boosted the EF-M ecosystem with a bunch of small affordable F1.4 primes and the RP looks like a tough sell.
I like the content you provide I would suggest you to add some humor and fun in the video so it’s not only informative but also entertaining. Just a small tip but depends on your personal opinion
Thanks for great comparison. I'm M6ii user, switch from 6Dii because full frame lens too heavy for me. Now I'm waiting for M5ii and EF-M lenses, if those not come in late 2020 as roumor, I will switch to Fuji. Last week I bought X100V before jump to XT4 😁
I am from the future! 😏. The m5ii will be nothing special.
@@guardianobserver6593 who know if there will be an M5ii at this point.... is the M6ii a better upgrade path from the M5?
what about canon m6 mk2 with speed booster vs EOS RP
It might be worth mentioning that the price of a new or used RP and R will probably drop quite a bit when Canon finally starts shipping the R5 & R6.
Don't think so... Very different market segments
Mario Chiesa Canon said that the R is gonna drop to 1499$
The prices always go up and down. The RP was $899 last month but then back up again. I actually bought one of my RPs used for $800 last year
Hyun Ralph Jeong I just hope your wrong... only this time 🤣🤣🤣 and the R drops to 1499$ and STAY in that price ahahahha
@@HyunRalphJeong That's very true about the fluctuating price.
i even prefer my m6mk2 in many situations over my eor-r!
interesting? why is that? and what kind of photography are you usuually in?
@@jrc1156 an m6mk2 with ef-m22 is an unbelievably inconspicuous street camera, the m6mk2 with the sigma 56/1.4 is a really good portrait combo, which doesn't seem so dominant and therefore allows other images.
I've since swapped the R for the R5, so the difference in weight and size is at least worth it.
@@MrTeebaum i have an eos M3 with efm 22mm for my secondary small camera.. I am actually having second thoughts if I will still be investing in the M mount. But anyway, thanks for the info.
love the m6 mark ii but for changing batteries lol
Is there anyway i can use sigma 16mm 1.4, and 56mm 1.4 lenses on Canon RP ?
No, not possible
HP5 plus spotted. You shoot film?
I was experimenting with it last year. Very nice film.
Canon made a big mistake of downsizing the battery in the RP. This camera could easily have been able to accommodate the same larger and higher performance battery as the one used in the EOS R. As a result, its battery life is no better than a typical point and shoot camera.
