    Awesome video and solved my issue. My Yamaha 2018 gas cart was making strange sounds in the secondary clutch area and I was able to drive on flat ground but if I tried to climb a small hill, the cart would stop in the middle of the hill. With your video showing how easy it is to remove the single 12mm bolt holding the secondary (driven) clutch, I got my confidence up to remove it. Well, during the removal, it be apparent that the snap spring that holds the whole clutch assembly together had broken so the clutch spring and clutch were rattling around unsupported on the transmission spindle. I ordered a 6 rivet replacement secondary clutch from your website and it should be arriving in a few days. THANK YOU for your video and email assistance.

    I don’t know how to contact you through UA-cam so I’ll give this a shot. I have a 2018 efi quietech that squeaks. I’m guessing bushings and or shocks. If you get an opportunity to do a vid on replacing those and address the squeaky cart topic that would be great. Thx. Can’t wait for your performance kit.

      I have not see any issues with the quietechs squeaking. You could try unbolting the shocks and a arms and grease the bolts and bushings and reinstall.

    About to purchase a Umax Rally 2+2 and I saw somewhere that the 2 seater version has a higher speed gear set. do you sell a gear set for the 2+2 which will add top end speed?

    • @PowerEquipmentMan
      @PowerEquipmentMan  2 роки тому

      From what we have been able to find out, the Rally 2+2 uses the same gears as a fleet model Drive2. So you should be able to use the same high speed gears that fit the solid axle fleet carts. powerequipmentman.com/collections/golf-cart-accessories/products/yamaha-drive-drive2-high-speed-gear-set?variant=40336058613951

    This looks like what I need. Brand new 2022 Quietech PTV. My neighborhood has a lot of hills. Is this the same as the Plowmans kit, and do you have all 3 stages in stock?
    Also, do you have something to increase the top speed a few mph other than the governor adjustment that I did already? Thanks in advance.

    • @PowerEquipmentMan
      @PowerEquipmentMan  Рік тому

      Yes, we currently have all 3 stages in stock. We are working on a kit that would allow you to get more speed and horsepower, but it won't be ready to start selling for a while yet. We will have more details on it when it is released.
      Plowman's kit comes with the old TEAM style primary clutch, which in my opinion is JUNK. We did a full video on why the TEAM clutches are terrible, I recommend you watch it here - ua-cam.com/video/xwhRyZvRjqU/v-deo.html

    • @PowerEquipmentMan
      @PowerEquipmentMan  Рік тому

      @@AP-st1li Oil delusion can be an issue if the engine isn't tuned to adjust for higher RPM and intake/exhaust mods. As far as I know, we are the only place in the world that has came up with a fuel/timing controller for the Quietechs. That is part of the performance kit we are working on.

    • @PowerEquipmentMan
      @PowerEquipmentMan  Рік тому

      Deciding if you need a clutch kit depends on what you are doing with the cart. If you have a lot hills and heavy loads then you will definitely want a clutch kit. If you are on flat ground with just one or two people mostly, then you probably don't need a clutch kit. If you are planning to install high speed gears to get more top speed, then you will want a clutch kit.

    I'm sure this has had to been brought up. Do you have any tricks for the sway problems on the G29s after they have been lifted and with larger tires? mine is all over the place. 16' g29 with 23s and 6" lift/3" spacers/heavy duty rear springs.

    • @PowerEquipmentMan
      @PowerEquipmentMan  2 роки тому +1

      Unfortunately, the best solution at this time is NO LIFT. It sounds like you have already done most of the common stuff (wheel spacers and HD coils). The only other thing you can really mess with is the alignment. Make sure your camber is perfect first. Then some guys say 1/4" toe in, and some say 1/4" toed out. I think the last one we setup, we put at about 1/8" toed out and it was fairly stable at 35 mph. You can also try adding risers to the steering knuckle to make the tie rods more level (less bump steer). Set tire pressure at 10 or 12 psi.

    PE man Im looking for a video on how to service the primary clutch (yamaha drive 2--G-29)... you ever done one like that? Apparently cleaning, inspection of parts and lubrication are important.

    • @PowerEquipmentMan
      @PowerEquipmentMan  Місяць тому

      If you have the newer style FBT clutch, you should not need to do any removal/cleaning. They have a grease zerk on them and just need to be greased with one or two pumps of grease every time you change your engine oil.
      If you have the old TEAM clutches, they were a very high maintenance clutch that did require disassembly to clean/lube. The TEAM clutches are junk and should be replaced with the FBT clutches. We sell a kit to do that.

      We will be releasing our High Performance kit around the end of this year that includes a fuel/timing controller and some slight engine and exhaust modifications to safely get more power out of these engines. • @PowerEquipmentMan
      @PowerEquipmentMan  10 місяців тому

      It's best to upgrade to the 6 rivet as they are a lot stronger clutch. If your 4 rivet is still in good condition, it might be ok for a while, but just know that there is a good chance that it will break eventually.

      I don't see your name in our customer list, so I'm assuming you didn't purchase your spring from us. What spring did you install? What was it rated for? Springs are not a "one sizes fits all" kind of thing. Did you install a better belt? Stock belts aren't the best for more severe applications. If your hills are pretty steep, you may need a stage 2 kit.
