A trick I do for my homemade whipped cream, is just put the whisk/s and bowl in the freezer for a good 30 minutes prior to whipping it up!! These look amazing and I want to make them ❤
My mom always puts her mixing bowl in the freezer for a little bit before she makes homemade whipped cream- makes it super thick!

Wow, as a swede and an absolute Semmel-lover I would most definitely approve of your Semla! That looks amazing! You even got it right by mixing the almond paste with the crumbs from the bun 😍👌🏼
Just a tip if you want more almond taste is to also add some chopped almonds to the almond paste. Chop them pretty small but you still want to feel the little almond pieces when you eat. I have made many Semla's over the years and when I learned this from a patisserie it really upped my Semla-game.

My lazy-person tip for whipped cream is to whip it in the blender or food processor. It whips really fast because a lot of air is added, you just have to be careful not to over whip. For me it seems like easier cleanup than the mixer since it’s all contained.

Love this!!❤ In Finland we have a pastry that's pretty much the same thing but the almond paste is often replaced with strawberry jam😍
The Almond is the traditional and most common in Sweden, but today it exists's a lot of variations, the classic (almond) is evreywhere, it is almost as easy to find them with vanilia filling what ever more is available varies quite a lot.

These look amazing! :) My mom told me to use an aluminum bowl for whipped cream and put in in the freezer before you put the heavy cream in to whip. 😘

My grandma was known for her cream puffs! Similar to this... 👍 water flour butter then remove from stove and add 4 eggs individually and stir til each egg is no longer glossy looking and that's it! Then she just filled with whipping cream and powdered sugar mixed together til stiff 👍
I'm Swedish and I grew up with these! We always ate them in a bowl with warm milk!

Hey! Im a sweed and we have a special day every year for swedish semla 21/2. "Semmelday" or as we say in sweden, "fettisdagen". You did this really good!! :D
To be little pick. It isnt always Feb 21. It is 7 tusdays before easter. So it vary. And always a tuseday.
I'm a swede and i'm like the only swede i know who's not like a big fan of semlor. I still eat them though because it's tradition haha. But i would 100% try yours because they are cuuuuuute. Good job! It's not the easiest thing to a semla both look and taste nice :)

As a Swedish baker this is the time we do alot of Semla. The traditional Semla is a cardemumbun not brioch. We usaly dont sweeten the wiptcream cuse the bun and paste is so sweet. Ther are som who dose. But most dosent.
The crademum we use in Sweden is crusht. so you get a stronger tast. That why they told you to get whole and to crush it your self.
