Homelander Visits his Birth Place (HD) | The Boys 4x04 Opening Scene | Season 4 Episode 4

- We know Homelander is Soldier Boy’s (Jensen Ackles) son after he donated his sperm in 1980. To turn him into the god-loving patriot that Americans will adore, Vought kept him locked up as a child until he was ready to join the Seven. Through this period, which Homie revisits during this hour, he suffered immensely and hasn’t forgotten a single second of it. Now he’s come back for revenge, hoping that miserably hurting the people who hurt him might bring some relief. Does it work? His super satisfied, covered-in-blood face at the end of the episode says it probably did. The nervousness sets in as soon as those damn elevator buttons ding when “Wisdom Of The Ages” starts. Homelander enters the office with a cake-not the worst last meal, I suppose-and reconnects with the couple of people who helped Vought rear him. His method of torture feels slow and miserable because you know it’s coming. No one in that room, including the new employees, are walking out alive. The first to go is Frank (Mark Cowling). Homelander burns him in the same oven where, years ago, he was caged inside with Frank increasing the temperature to see if his skin would burn. It didn’t set him on fire, but Homie says, “My tears sizzled away,” and that’s a chilling description of his agony.

Imagine being the one employee that had the day off
Homelander brought cake for these hard working scientists what a wholesome man
I don’t know if you saw the episode or not, but Homelander then went on to forgive a few of the scientists for their past mistakes, cooked a frank in the oven, and gave everyone the rest of the day off (though the director had to stay late to deal with a mess). It was a very wholesome episode.
@@BobPeterson628 you’re just a Starlighter trying to spread your nonsense, Homelander is a great father and a very great man, #HomelanderIsInnocent

Everything is messed up. This is Homelander’s real home and when he brought that cake with that fake smile there is a deep sadness and bitterness to it. The whole scene is unsettling and tragic. He was raised in this cold, lonesome lab, it was revealed he was manufactured to crave love but he can never get it, and he will still never be happy. The only form of homecoming he can get is force those scientists to eat a sweet cake.
Justice should satisfy anyone- idk
"Animals raised in isolation aren't the most functional."
- Owen Grady from Jurassic World
Underrated line from the underrated movie. Loved Jurassic World, its quite sad how Universal fucked up the sequels
A more accurate quote should be:
“The thing about cross-breeding dogs, you get the right genes, you can get a perfect creation. But it doesn't matter how perfect they are. It's not enough. When I raise subjects without their mothers, they become violent. Aggressive. Downright hateful. You should have been raised in a home with a family who loved you. Not in a cold lab with doctors.”
Vought got their "product," and John got cheated out of his childhood.
Anthony starr is a fantastic, top level actor. The way he demonstrates trauma through his facial expression is unparalleled. I love how his face twitches when Marty says John, correcting the name to Homelander. He is clearly rejecting his human identity.
Awww what a prankster, this Homelander. He just wanted to surprise Frank, Marty and their co workers with a lovely cake. Hope Barbara joins them before the cake melts, and not miss out on the wholesome reunion! I’m sure they have a lot of catching up to do and fun memories to look back on.
Note the contrast between the newbies and old-timers' reactions upon seeing it's Homelander himself
Newbies: Wow our hero's here to inspect our workplace
Old-timers: I have a bad feeling about this...
Honestly.... When I watched this my only thought was, they made the monster and now they get to deal with it.
Imagine being the person that got sent to fetch Barbara
Why did she return to the lab anyway? She probably knew that Homelander wasn't going to let the crew off so easily...
@@DanielH.-sg8oo I’m guessing he would’ve killed them plus even more people if Barbara had fled
@@DanielH.-sg8oo Because she thought she could still control Homelander, she was extremely confident until Homelander murdered the rest of them.
0:01 that notice on the left is just complete jibberish lol
If i was that security guard i would've hopped right unto that elevator
Considering the fact that he probably killed everyone on the ground floor (including poor old Phil) before taking the elevator, I don't think he was planning to leave any witnesses alive...
@@DanielH.-sg8oo at that point when you see him, you're just taking chances. If you're in that lab you know what he's capable of
@@DanielH.-sg8oowho is Phil?
@@LongNguyen-qg8yj
A Vought security guard who worked on the ground floor
Those new faces are innocent.
What a nice reunion!
I sure hope nothing horrible happens later on!
So Homelander's mental instability is becoming more and more public, he's on trial for murder, and the people who tormented and abused him for years just...decided to stay in their exact same jobs, in the exact place he knew they'd be?
Imagine you were in a secluded room and then all of a sudden the elevator door opened and a huge grizzly bear stepped out but you have nowhere to hide or defend yourself and you can’t take the elevator back up….
That doesn’t even begin to describe how fucked these folks were
Yeah I would take the grizzly. You know with the grizzly that you are going to be eaten in 5 seconds. Homelander left them with so much fear, terror and uncertainty for so long.
They got what they deserved frfr
Bro he said it himself that some of them just started working there how they deserved any of this?😮💨
@jevilz9858 Because similar experiments are still being done on other children. Why else would the furnace still be there?
Homelander meets your creators🥶🥶🥶
I think that Barbara wants to sit out of this happy reunion get-together.
When Vought finds out about the massacre in that lab, I wonder if any of them had pissed in their pants when they realized that they no longer had control of their golden boy?
Homelander almost has his own helmet
It's weird how none of them ask why the cameras and communications were knocked out. They all know they're hostages and they have to play nice in hopes of not getting on his bad side.
It's weird how they have to eat the cake. And that stupid thing is the last thing they'll eat.
0:10 Is she someone we know?
Why does she get the most screentime from all the staff?
I’ve seen her in some other shows. Always an extra.
The cake is a lie…
Imagine Homelander going to a shop and buying something paying for it lol
you think he murdered the clerk too?
I think Phil is dead
Nah he played ping pong with Phil and send him off earlier too see his fam.
what happened to barbara and the other assistants? the new recruits
He killed them all and made Barbara watch, and locked her in the bad room.
Dude watch the damn show 😒

@@Howard-Hamlin-from-HHM yo they deleted my comment, anyway how can I?
So the people who were just scientists and had nothing to do with the torture?
They were still experimenting on other people
The minute he arrived their fates were sealed it's unfortunate to know that there could be nothing they would do that would save their lives
Suits mortal kompat 1
Homelander probably killed all the security guards upstair before that assistant trying to call them.
