Good interview...UNTIL..he didn't know MIKE NESS did two solo albums??!!
Does anybody else realize how much Mike ness means to music ?
WTF? Fail on the solo album stuff and not seeming to know that there were some times Social D was on hiatus. Fun fact: I was Mike's shop back in March and we were bullshitting and he asked my take on them playing the fest later in the year and we compared it to what RF was like when he played it indoors and also when they were at Lolla. Then we went back to talking about veggie burgers and Chicago era gangsters vs LA ones. Double fun fact: he at Native Foods on Belmont after his set :P

What amazes me a Social Distortion is how long they lasted. Yet thier really isnt a lot of information you can obtain on them compared to other groups even punk bands. Mike Ness and Dennis were close but even thier relationship there isn't much actually out there.

rjplamf61 I thought the same too. I just watched a new clip from the European tour, and he looks even more grown in....
Mike C Yeah, I am a bit conflicted with this since I am his age and struggling with my hairline. He is kind of letting me down because he is going against the punk ethos of having the "fuck it" attitude. Getting hair transplants is definitely not punk, but than again (I hate to say it) but maybe I would go for it if I had the bucks, because losing your hair fucking sucks no matter how old you are.
Maybe he is just using Rogaine, and it actually works for him....
Mike C Your hairline will not come back down with Rogaine, the widow's peak can thicken back up but the receded part never comes back, Believe me. This is a transplant and a good one at that. Not punk rock? Maybe. Am I jealous? Yes.
***** I am a bit envious myself. The one great attribute Mike had was that he did not seem to give a shit about thinning out and that made guys like myself (I have what Ness has going on) a bit more secure in there skin. I guess he is just like the rest of us, a bit insecure and feeling the wrath of getting on in years.
