I'm sure Mike Ness knows this, but I will say, as somebody who has friends from all economic backgrounds, that plenty of rich kids come from broken/alcoholic homes as well. Money can't buy happiness.

YES Mike is right I am an OC Cali Generation X Punk too. Punk became safe. Punks are not the bad people in reality. Sure they may have fun offending square politically correct geeks. They tell others crowing about it and they chuckle about it. Punks are not bad criminals. Being Punk means you know the truth and what is right and stand behind it despite popular belief and propaganda. A person that has never heard p unk rock can be punk. It is great music and bring punk rock and proud is great. There are many like me who are older and still punk and punk rockers. I do like some of other music secondary and believe it is all rock and roll from guys like Chuck Berry who started it. God rest his soul I had the opportunity to meet and talked with for an hour over bourbon in Anaheim thought the same and was a GREAT MAN and really cool to talk to and great values very much like mine. Nirvana is great but Social Distortion has so much more depth.

His is correct, if it weren't for the Sex Pistols/ SD/ Ramones/ and lot's of other punkers hard driving guitars, not the wantabes but the true musicians who told a story in their lyrics, these bands of today (the one hit wonders) would have never got to the big time.
