Back at the old bottle dump video. I've been pretty sick for a couple of weeks so the videos got behind and I couldn't get out and about for new ones. Hopefully over the hump now and can get back at it again. Thanks for your comments and for watching my videos!
I was doing a bit of digging in the back garden. To my surprise, I only found an old ash/bottle tip. After 2 weeks of digging every day in the back garden, I had turned it into bombsightht. The neighbours thought I was bonkers. I found many bottles and pot lids. Wish my garden was bigger, I. Had some great fun not knowing what I would find next. Keep up the good work and good luck.
Looks like it to me also. I found a diagram of one of the first irons and it showed a mica insulator and it looked like the piece he found. So interesting.
Chigg, at 5:00 you have a vacuum tube, often used in radios and television sets in the early to mid 20th century. The one you picked up was most likely used in an old 1930s console radio, considering its size and style.
Another really fun dig again Chiggs ! That's a nice cobalt blue poison bottle. That old radio tube you found is a large one. Hope your feeling better and best regards.✊
I'm so glad you're feeling better. I'm loving these bottle digs. Do you ever watch Below the Plains, where he digs up old outhouse pits? His videos are fun and he seems very knowledgeable about the bottles.
My thoughts too. He has an amazing knowledge for bottles including dates made, name, and history of the company who made them. I’m sure you have sources for information, but if you sent him pictures of some of your mystery bottles I’m sure he could help. Glad you’re feeling better. In all honesty, your breathing has been a little labored for the last few videos. Just remember: Health First.
Lots of those old radios with that type tubes were battery powered. We never had electricity when i was a child in eastern Kentucky, so i grew up listening to the Lone Ranger, The Green Hornet, The Shadow Knows ,etc. on one of those old floor model, tube type radios! Thing had a big long "9 lives" battery and gobs of stations on the dial with a thin copper wire at least a quarter mile long for an antenna but we could only get two programs but it was still fun! Another great video, Mr Chigg! Glad you're feeling better!
@@twowingsblackhawk8954 lots of those old timey radio shows are getting a second life on UA-cam now. I occasionally play them to get to sleep. There are some great old stories and characters on those shows.
Hi Chigg. My son found an old PBR bottle with the label still on and took a picture with the PBR he was drinking at the time. The old bottle was bigger. He said he was getting ripped off with the smaller bottle. 😏 😁 Good thing he did because when the label dried it shrunk and fell off. Love your videos!
Most of the beverage bottle were much smaller back in the old days... "Pepsi-Cola hits the spot,Twelve full ounces, that's a lot,Twice as much for a nickel too.Pepsi-Cola is the drink for you." But I feel his pain.
20:41 hinds honey and almond cream (usually from Bloomfield N J ) back to the vid…another great day glad Jim didn’t get clobbered by the tree lol that layer of bottles looks interesting a big ol light bulb and some cork tops …. Looking forward to the next one thanks for sharing see you on the next one 👍🏼👊🏼crazy they say “medicinal” purpose on that ginger extract 87% alcohol 😳 we had a wino break into our general store when I was 6-7 years old he drank all the extracts (no alcohol in the store) they found him there dead in the morning….
The mica that Jim found separates the element from the sole plate on a laundry iron. Stops you getting a shock. Certo was for making Jam. It was full of Pectin which is a setting agent. The Ginger Extract bottle is amazing.
13:09 another piece of green uranium glass, im obsessed so it glows to me, people buy it broken to facet and shape, must be whole dish set in that hill.
Hi Chig. 45 plus years ago, I dug a few wisc. dumps looking for old beer cans. I found very few that I could add to my collection. Conetops, flattops were in sad condition. Even 45 years ago. sigh....Nice dump show buddy! I enjoyed. Rk.
The one bottle that you initially thought it said Geritol.. that's Certo. It's pectin bottle which is the reason for the measurement line. It's used to make home made jelly. You have to measure it well or your jelly won't set, or if you use to much, it becomes pastey.
just started showing your River Hunter series on a channel I can now see. You found some wonderful ancient and archaeologically unique finds. It would be great if you had the opportunity to do some more of these
Out here in AZ when we find an old dump we screen the dirt. You should do same. 1/2” screen material from hardware store with wooden frame. You’d be amazed at the number of coins, jewelry etc that you’ll find
hi Chigg's I can tell you don't dig bottles. a lot of that stuff are common. The octagon log cabin syrup is from the early 1930s. and the cobalt bottle with the ribs is a bromide of some sort. It would be nice to find a hole local soda . there most likely not be any embossed beers because prohibition was still going on at the time the dump was in use ,
I was finally over covid and now got a stomach bug oy! I love seeing the old bottles the one whiskey bottle with roses on it was very nice!, I would of taken it! I love the old milk bottles and the green one i would think had citric acid or lime/lemon extract in it I would think. After doing some research on Berks County I found so many acres were old dumps, and a lot of places and towns were build on them, It amazed me! Love the amber bottles! I was curious How has your property been with all this rain we been getting? I believe you have bamboo growing right?
Good evening chigg thanks again for sharing your videos very interesting finds with these old bottles but I think the other items what you are finding looks like old light bulbs they are old valves from old black and Wight television and also old radios from the 1920 with the ones with the pins just be careful with your hands with the glass you are moving best of luck from England
HOWDY CHIGG - Have you ever thought of keeping some of the little colorful bits, like at 12:48. the little Jade piece under your digger. You could tumble the pieces and make lovely things.
That looks like a fun dump to dig! On my TheDowneastDigger channel Ive filmed a few river bank dumps too. That one you guys are digging looks loaded, you never know if a "late throw" will pop up out of there. Continued good luck digging!
5:01 thats an old radio vacuum tube. 27:03 i think the odd shaped bottle is from a set of medicines from a doctors kit. i seem to recall seeing something like that a long time ago.
Pretty sure that Certo was used to thicken jelly and jam in the elder times. Usually cooked in large amounts. The upside-down marking would be helpful in adding the best amount.
The blue bottle with the vertical ribs (20:00 mark), is more than likely and "poison" bottle. Bottles that contained something that would be dangerous to ingest, often had odd shapes or designs that could be felt (kind of like braille) to warn you not to take it internally, if you got up in the middle of the night to grab an aspirin or something similar, before the electric light era.

I hope your ok real soon I love your adventures Beau 👍
Dooooood.....I had covid from Dec 22-29th. I still have no hearing in my right ear with tinnitus and vertigo. I feel ya.
I'm not going to lie I'm jealous wish I could find a sweet dump to dig
Sure enough, getting sick for digging old dumps...
Bubonic plague...is next.
Glad to hear that you’re feeling better. 🥰
Thank you! 🤗
Good to see your back in the saddle, Hope your feeling better Chigg
Nice to see somebody finally using the right kind of a tool to get that stuff out of the dirt instead of a bare hand or a shovel

Sounds like you had fun. Thanks!
The amount of dirt in your hair is equal to the fun you have had! What a great dump man! Thanks Chig!
Thanks!!😊👍
Stealing this, but think it's apropos: "Even superheroes need to rest! You’ll be back in action soon.". My best to you and Lindsay.
Thanks so much Tom. You are very generous and I really appreciate that.
@@aquachigger I would rather show your channel support than waste my money/budget on the kind of "trash" that has no value.
So glad you’re feeling better
So many bottles 😊 can’t wait till ya get back to that layer and see what comes out !!!!
That eisenglass wedge was likely an insulator for an early electric iron. love these digs, and be well Chigg!
My thoughts exactly !!
Looks like it to me also. I found a diagram of one of the first irons and it showed a mica insulator and it looked like the piece he found. So interesting.
I dug a sad iron that had a layer of asbestos like that…
Thanks!
Thanks so much @SuperNetSpyder. I appreciate your donation and hope to continue to live up to your expectations.

please do more of the bottle digging aquachigger....thank you 🙂
Great bottle hunting, the little 3 sided one appeared to be an old ink well , Hope you get a chance to go back , Take care
Sorry to hear you weren’t feeling well. I hope you’re getting better, and take care of yourself. Your health is all you have.
Fun hunt, y'all 😎👊⛏️⛏️⛏️⛏️!!!!!
Take your time, Beau. There is nothing more important than your health. Take care and wishing you and Lindsay the best.
Love, love, love digging for bottles!!! Great finds!
I would've been so tempted to stay!
Love that blue bottle. Crazy that label was still on the one bottle.😊
Don't slip ! Enjoy all your videos ! Billy from South Carolina
Samiches for the watch ducks. God bless you, dear Chiggs!

That mystery "bulb" at 5:05 is a Radio tube
Yep when I saw it I googled "1920s radio vacuum tube" and that seems to be exactly what it is.
I came to say the exact same. Awesome find.

Awesome dig! That place is absolutely loaded! Keep finding those treasures!

The bottle with the funny ears or handles is a Pompeii Olive Oil bottle. Found one just like it this summer. Definitely 1920s dump.
love the 30s dump!
Thx chigg! I love your content
92nd like, wow, its crazy how many old bottles there are

That old tube looks like it from an old TV
Ching, I guess your not old enough that industrial bulb is a vacuum tube from a radio or tv!😂😂
Good to see Jim in a video again, been awhile. Thought the samsquanch took him.
Wooow, love that radio tube 'roung 5:10

Thanks for sharing another great bottle hunt, our great great grandkids will look at screw tops glass in the future and think that we were primitive 👍
Flash Gordon's space ship... old radio and television tubes were so interesting looking.
Great finds enjoyed the video
They make pills for that, lol, caught that! Made my day
After cleaning. Can you do a video? Maybe displayed on the pool table?
In the basement of the house my parents bought, they found a old mayonaise jar, in the bottom of it was 4 ounces of gold dust.
Out here in AZ when we find an old dump we screen the dirt. You should do same. 1/2” screen material from hardware store with wooden frame. You’d be amazed at the number of coins, jewelry etc that you’ll find
I always love your videos
Love the Bromo seltzer bottles, I've got a few myself!
Good evening from Southeast South Dakota
Mica iron elements went around Beau!
Hittin the Bottle(s) again!!
Nice to find your site after watching you for years on River Hunters 👍
Awesome, thank you!
One jar with the bans is a pickle jar, the one with the pins on the bottom is a vacuum tube from a radio or TV

Gosh, sorry to hear that. I think about how cold the water is when youre hunting. Youre always getting wet. Take care of youre self.
7 min in and that river bank is like a slot machine full of old bottles lol
That bulb looking thing is an old vacuum tube from the hay days of black and white tvs.
If there was a dairy around then you could be finding veterinary medicine bottles and related items.. thanks chigger great video!

That old vacuum tube is pretty cool. Dont usually see them that large.
wow and vacumm tube
Just joined your channel after watching you on River Hunters here in the UK👍
Thanks, I hope you enjoy my videos.
Those old bulbs are out of televisions from the 40s and 50s I think.
Getting sick. Not wearing a coat in winter. 🧐 Any connection there ? Good to see you wearing gloves with all that broken glass though ! 🧤🧤
“And I remember those ******* bottles!”
Chigg the bulbus item is an old TV tube very old!🙂
Man I wanna go here 😭

I now remember using it when making jam as a kid. Thanks

Jim is a lot like snoopy. No need barking if you don’t have anything to say. Also, how do you clean the bottles?
