The Insurgent is indeed shockingly easy to pedal for a LT bike. I have the Mx version. It’s truly wicked. I’ve ridden it back to back with a high spec HighTower from 21 and , sadly, the High Tower is a poor second in every department. It’s less planted, it’s not as manoeuvrable at back end abd it feels sluggish uphill comparatively. If I’d set foot on an Evil beforehand I would never have bought the HT as an all purpose bike. Despite coil snd LT I actually have a grin every time I ride the Evil and that’s no bad thing on the run- in to 60 yrs old.
Good to hear your thoughts are similar. Hey, you can always sell the HT and order an Offering! 😁 I know what you mean, though. Once you pedal an Evil, it’s hard to imagine riding anything else. Thanks for checking my review out 🤘🏼
good review bro. i’ve ordered a frame back in June but still hasn’t arrived yet. 😩 all I can do for now is watch videos like yours. keeps the excitement alive. 😁
Thanks man! I’d go medium personally, but EVIL might say otherwise. You’re kind of where I am on their charts, being right at the edges of size recommendations. I say buy based on the reach you like, because the cockpit feel is super important to me.
Good review. I've got a v3 Following that I love. Thinking about replacing a v1 Ripmo with the new Wreckoning or Insurgent MX. Have you tried to ride it with a 29 up front? Just curious as I've only ridden 29ers for the last 5 years and wonder what it would be like to ride mullet. Rock on! \m/
Sadly, but maybe not, I haven’t switched to the mullet yet. Only due to life/business being completely insane the last several months, not because I haven’t wanted to. It’s realistically probably not gonna happen til Fall now. HOWEVER, I’ve come to love 27.5 life! Since you have a Following (me too), you don’t have to ride the big bike on long pedal days and the 27.5 Insurgent is a super well mannered, yet rowdy rig for enduro or shuttle days. I think the mullet might help with speed a little bit and obviously be nice on steep tech, but the little front is super nimble at speed and makes it feel really quick. It’s a blast.
Strange that's stock with G2 brakes when my Following came with Code RSC. Seems like they under-spec'd the brakes a little. Maybe it's a supply chain issue thing.
I think that’s exactly what it is, Larry. My wife’s Calling came with Codes too. To be honest, I don’t like those either. Magura replacements are already on the way! Thanks for watching my review!
I just bought myself the 2020 evil insurgent 2 days ago and I’m absolutely loving it. Amazing bike
Sick! They are amazing for sure 🤘🏼
Been waiting for this one! Sick bike and congrats!
Me too! 😆 Thanks, Dakota 🤘🏼

Thanks 🙏🏼. I waited quite a while for mine too. All I can say is it was definitely worth it. Hope yours arrives soon!
Nice! I wish I had trails worthy of that bike. Unfortunately the Evil Following is more than enough for my local Kentucky trails.
The Following is a badass bike too! I have one and absolutely love it. Thanks for watching 🤘🏼🤘🏼
@@PunkUncleShow I Love mine as well, just wish I had a need for an insurgent or wreckoning
I feel ya, Justin. Sometimes I wish I lived in Bourbon country!
Nice bike bro! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the mullet setup.
Thanks,Art!
That’s awesome I’m thinking about going back to a 27.5 also 🤔 great video nice job 👍😎🤘
Appreciate you! Yeah depending on what you ride, or more importantly, how you ride, 27.5 can be so good. 🤘🏼
Looking forward to the 27.5 vs mullet comparison.
Me too! Can’t wait. Thanks for watching!
Great vid and bike. Size suggestions for 5’6”?

@@PunkUncleShow good luck with the Maguras. I never tried them but I heard they are a love them or hate them kind of thing.
I still want one lol. I guess Ill just have to settle for my wrecker in 27.5🤷♂️
It’s pretty much an Insurgent now anyway 😁
Let’s get this thang thousands of views

27.5 front and rear. Switching to mullet soon and I’ll definitely make some videos about the differences.
Thx bro
Thanks for watching, Bruce 🙏🏼
Yee....bike is too sick.
Thanks buddy 🤘🏼👊🏼
Why did you want absolute strangers to see your first “peddle strikes” on your new bike?
Why does anyone do anything? Because they can. Same reason people hide behind keyboards. Thanks for watching.
