Undeniably one of the very best superbikes on the market in stock form, the Honda CBR1000rr-r and CBR1000rr-r SP takes a big step forward for 2024.
Since 2020, the latest iteration of Honda Fireblade has dominated stock class racing, in fact the BSB Superstock class has been nicknamed the "honda cup"! But with super long gearing, and an overly intrusive ABS system, it has not been popular on the track day scene or clearly sold in the sort of volume that Honda would hope for.
For 2024, this should all change. A significantly revised gearing should make the blade's midrange more palatable to the experienced 1000cc rider, and a significantly revised ABS system that seemingly allows rear wheel lift, could be an absolute game changer, bringing the bike up to par in terms of the competition.
Hopefully, we'll get to ride on in 2024!

I had to sell my 2012 CBR 1000rr earlier this year after having it for many years. I kept telling myself my next bike would be a sport touring bike since I am getting a little older after riding for 20+ years. But I was wrong, I want one of these.
After the minor updates i can say it is best looking bike on market now, absolutely stunning design.
So no quickshifter standard on the Base RR-R??? Very 2015 Mr Red Wing... 😄
Whats the news on the regular cbr1000 double R? No triple R, no SP model.. just the regular rr??

I'm currently riding a 2015 CBR1000 Double R and loving it. If this bike were offered in the US, I would get it.....Glossy Black or Matt Black with Carbon fiber

Honda is a great brand as a whole; but when it’s in the price range of BMW/R1M it kinda makes it that much harder to pick “Big Red” now more than ever…
The R1M sucks, it has the same awful brakes and power as stock. Just electronic suspension and carbon fairings....
The SP has more power, and better brakes.

Why is that? You're paying for the most successful motorcycle company in both sales and racing. Is a 215 bhp bike with world class suspension and chassis geometry, this bike dominates superSTOCK racing, unfortunately not superbike lol. The 20 model already got much praises for it's feel and confidence and its seems to tweak its problems ever since 2020. Cmon, big red is cooler than German white and blue. Tho if you ask base model for base model the s1000rr is still the benchmark, undefeated.
@@drsrsv8884exactly why I never understood why people got the r1m if they could get something like the M1000rr for some more. And ever since the sp came around, r1m owners look like fools, the only difference is suspension and fairings. This is a full lots of effort improvement from the base model RR.

I have a zx10r 2020 that I'm very very happy with and don't think I could ever let it go but I really would like to have that cbr rrr that thing is sexy af
so good ???? cant seem to work in wsbk. Also Honda severely overpriced it compared to even the s1000rr not to mention zx10r and the R1. Its a joke not having quick shifter as standard.
I believe that these bikes are very sensitive. Obviously, when you start adding a lot more power into the bikes like in WSBK and BSB, changing swingarms and entirely different electronic packages to stock, it becomes more difficult to develop the bikes and get the results. However, it can't be denied that in Superstock form (closest racing form to stock - exhaust, suspension, dyno work mods only), the Honda is the new favourite. Thanks, Aaron KNOX

Sooo…are those models supposed to be more attractive alternatives to a “do not sit” sign? It’s funny that in all these videos being shot at the show those models just sit there, even when the camera pans around the bike and zooms in on occasion while the host introduces and talks about the new model.

God I hate ABS. I wish they offered these bikes without them. This is why I love my CBR600. No ABS. NO aides. Just me and the bike. All these computer and sensors and ABS just get in the way of a true riding experience. And when they go bad, you can’t fix them. You’ll have to take them in for the techs to troubleshoot/replace or fix. Not to mention the weight all this crap adds. No thanks.

Looks the same as every other before it. The more software, the more likely the bike will crash itself. Imagine flying around the track at 100mph and autobraking or something else kicks in. NO THANKS. Death machine.

The chassis is the same as previous generation. Olly has ridden the 2023 model and confirmed its reputation that it has an incredible chassis and front end feeling. Aaron KNOX
never understood models for cars and bikes. the car and bike are beautiful on their own. Putting a model who most likely knows nothing about that car/bike, is of no value. In this case, it's made it worse since these guys had to move to anther bike because it's getting awkward. Get ride of models at car/bike shows.
